Great stay with lovely harbour views We arrived late on Thursday night, but our room was ready and waiting for us, which was a lovely start to our stay. We had a ground-floor Premium Studio with a whirlpool. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely set up, with a bottle of bubbly waiting in the fridge, as well as bathrobes and pool towels laid out ready for us. The balcony was a real highlight, with two chairs, a table, two loungers and our own whirlpool. It was absolutely perfect for relaxing in after the steep walk back up from town! The pool area was clean and never felt overcrowded, and we had no problem finding sunbeds or loungers whenever we wanted them. The pool itself was just the right temperature — not too cold — and the views across towards the harbour were lovely. The only slight downside was the restaurant/bar opening hours. It closes at 5pm and stops serving food from around 4:30pm, so it would have been nice if it stayed open a little later. That said, it wasn’t a major issue. Happy hour from 12–1pm was also a nice touch, although on a few days it seemed to finish just before 1pm. Overall, we had a great stay and would happily return. The clean room, private whirlpool, lovely pool area and beautiful harbour views made it a really enjoyable break

We were on an Easyjet holiday for two weeks, beginning of July. Good price we felt. We had a taxi transfer so arrived about 12.30pm. Room was ready, we booked a room with a jacuzzi and large terrace. Terrace was a good size but needed a brush/hoover at it was a bit grubby. I used the bath to cool down. There were also two sunbeds, pool towels provided and a table and chairs. Oh also a parasol for shade. We got the sun from early morning until 4.40pm. Our room was on the 2nd floor so not next to other jacuzzi rooms so felt a bit more private though still overlooked a bit. The room itself was spacious enough. Two beds pushed together to make a double. Kitchenette with new facilities. Bathroom fine. Cleaning 5 times per week. Pool towels could be exchanged every 5 days but it happened a bit more frequently than that. In the standard rooms you don't get pool towels. I think! Room was quiet when we were there. Pool area very nice, though we spent a lot of time on the terrace of our room. Plenty of sunbeds. Pool bar happy hour 12 to 1. Two for 1 drinks. Snack bar opens at 1.00pm. Reasonable choices, decent prices. Mixed age clientele, first week older demographic. Second week much younger. I am in my 60s!! No problem though. We got taxis both ways down to centre. My mobility isn't what it used to be. Staff at hotel were all great. Friendly and polite. We would definitely come again. Mike

“5 Star Stay”

Me and my partner had a lovely week stay at this hotel. Everywhere was spotless from the rooms, to the pool, to the communal areas. No sun bed wars at any point during the stay and lovely pool bar which serves reasonably priced and good food/drinks. Hotel is situated on a hill so lots of stairs or taxi option available for €4. Very peaceful and a great place to stay for relaxing getaway. Do also recommend visiting the Love you Alooot bar for music bingo nights very fun. Big shout out to the gentleman on reception too who checked us in, very friendly and welcoming. All staff were great and very polite.

This was our third and best visit to Hartaguna to date, this hotel is little gem. The atmosphere is very relaxed and quiet and never seems to busy. The rooms have everything you need, spotless and serviced regularly. All the staff are very friendly and always say Hola with a smile. As other reviews have mentioned the hotel is up a hill, not a problem for us as we feel the walk back up in the evening helps burn off the extra holiday calories. We have never had the need for a taxi, but they are cheap and plentiful. Just want to say a big thank you to reception staff who allocated us the room which we had requested which I know isn’t an easy thing to do. Big shout out to David the pool lifeguard, he went out of his way to make sure everyone was having the perfect time in the solarium and pool area, and when the pool was empty he would even collect empty glasses for the bar and tidy up. The pool bar is great, the drinks and food are always top notch, perhaps opening until 6 in the summer could be an option as when it shuts at 5 you feel like the day sunbathing is drawing to an end, when actually there is hours of hot sun left. All in all Hartaguna is a great hotel to stay in, hope when Rocamar next door becomes part of it things don’t change. We will be back again. Nigel and Claire Prince
