We had a great holiday. Elsa at reception was very nice and really went out of her way to help. To find the reception for S’abanell Central Park apartments (if you booked via this route - it’s on career d’enric morera (next to a couple of restaurants). We had a seaview apartment which was great. The kitchen had all we needed to do some basic cooking and breakfast - although I bought a mug in the local shop as I like a big cup for a brew :). The sofa bed in the living room was small so just note if you are thinking of two adults using this - myself and my partner shared this but it was a tight squeeze. Apartment was light, bright and had all you needed for a great stay. We hired a car and would recommend in height of summer to reserve parking in the apartment underground parking lot (local streets always seemed full of cars). The location is great. Directly opposite the beach, 10mins walk from the main part of town (and with plenty of bars, restaurants, kids parks etc) all around the apartments and on the way to the main town. Blanes is a really family orientated place. There are a few late night bars near the apartments but these didn’t cause us any issues as we were on a higher floor and we quite enjoyed people watching from our balcony. The pool is large (with shallow and deep parts so good for all) and there wasn’t a scramble for sun beds (plus you could set up around on towels on the grass if you preferred). The pool itself was lovely and in August, beautifully warm. The pool rules were… well… read the other tripadvisor reviews on this! The rules were extensive and strictly enforced by the caretakers (one with more of a smile than the other). There was no toilet near the pool and with no food or drink available to buy in the grounds and not being allowed to eat/drink around the pool, it was a pain to have to keep going back to the apartment each time for something. The grounds were immaculate and that was down to the caretakers. At the pool we used floats, pool noodles, sinkers and non inflatable pool toys. A large kids playground was just outside the grounds, plus smaller play park in the grounds. Bars, restaurants and anything else you might need were all around the complex. We would def consider staying there again (despite the pool rules/enforcement).

We just stayed in an apartment here for two weeks. The Reception staff are great, very helpful and friendly - could not fault them. We thought we might be arriving later than expected and when I called to let Reception know the guy said he would leave keys and instructions for us. We managed to arrive just as Reception was due to close but he was very helpful and stayed over his finish time to see that we had everything we needed. The apartment itself was clean and well equipped with pots, pans crockery etc. We just had to buy a decent sharp knife and two good sized mugs!! There was a microwave, kettle and washing machine, mop, broom etc. Very well equipped. Only issue with apartment was that the second bedroom was too small for our two teenage daughters with only a futon to sleep on (which was no where near big enough for a 15 and 17 year old) so one had to sleep on the sofa bed in the lounge which wasn’t ideal but they had no other choice. The beach is just across the road and the whole complex is very secure so this is a good place to stay if you have small children. The pool is lovely but the only issue I had, as do a lot of other people, was the amount of pool rules - some of which are just ridiculous. I can understand no lilo’s/floating rings etc as if everyone takes one of these in the pool there would be no room for any people (and it gets quite busy at certain times) but no sunglasses!!! My sunglasses are prescription and I was determined I was not taking them off as I can’t see properly. One caretaker guy indicated to me three times that I should remove them but I ignored him. The caretakers/pool attenders do like to strut around checking on everyone and pointing to people with sunglasses on or to kids who are jumping in the pool which did make it feel like you were being watched by prison wardens at times!!! At one point there were three of them strutting around like club bouncers!!! Also you can’t eat or drink by the pool so it’s a bit of a downer really - it put me off wanting to sit there. It depends what you want from a holiday. I like to relax on holiday by a pool with a drink and an ice lolly but there was no chance of this at these apartments! All in all a pleasant place to stay in a great location but too many rules. Chillax guys - we’re on holiday!!!

“Secure and close to the sea side”

We rented an appt for 16 nights. the reception was very helpful and friendly. Appt itself we had a seatbed but was a bit hard to sleep on. The rest was ok with airco, Wifi, microwave, washing machine,... Blankets changed once a week. Also towels and that is not enough for 4 people. Should be twice … more

Swimmingpool very clean and big. free sunbeds. 50m from the sea and walkway. Blanes itself is a nice city with a new and old part.

This complex is not designed with British visitors in mind and the apartment we stayed in was quite basic. There was no kettle and we did not expect a T pot. The cups were the size of egg cups so we bought a couple of cheap mugs from across the road. No tin opener, fortunately we ate out every night. The safes do not work but we could leave valuables at reception, however opening times were short since and the reception only seems to be there for letting apartments. It looks like most of these apartments are privately owned. There were no British T.V channels. Now for the good points! The apartments are a good size and our beds were comfortable. Free good quality wifi. The aircon was free and available 24 hours a day. The complex is safe and secure with cameras and night patrol. Great position for the beach and handy for the town centre which is a fifteen minute walk along the promenade, unless you want to take the bus which runs at regular intervals. There are buses available to take you further afield at reasonable prices so you can explore the lovely coast. I was going to hire a car but having explored the area I now realise how stressful that would have been, traffic is heavy and other motorists unforgiving! There are lots of bars, restaurants and supermarkets close by and the area is surrounded with camping sites so facilities are good. We would return since the site is well maintained especially the pool and garden area, but our apartment was basic.
