Calella is a lovely place to visit, we stayed at the dwo les Palmeras, the coach couldn't drop us off at hotel as narrow roads so had about a 7 minute walk to find it, when we got there the reception ladies were friendly and helpful, the room had 2 beds a tv. Fridge and air conditioning and wifi, there's no sofa so have to sit on the beds, only English channels on tv is news channels, the bathroom is a good size with a large shower, they supplied shampoo, bodywash and hand wash, the only thing I didn't like was no lock on bathroom door, outside is a small pool with about 12 sunbeds, and because the hotels are so close together the pool hardly gets any sun so we used the beach instead which was only at the bottom of the road, the restaurant in the hotel was good for breakfast it had lots to choose from, the evening was frustrating as we had to queue for over 20 minutes to get a table for food which was mainly fish and meat and vegetables, sounds good but the chicken was raw inside and the meat was always dry, we did have 1 good night when they made steak which was lovely, the puddings were always lovely and there's always alot of fruit around. If you need a clean tidy base to stay in this is perfect, there is lots of bars and restaurants outside the hotel and so is the town, we enjoyed walking through the town to see the old church

“5 night stay”

Paperthin walls, could hear talking from room other side. Noisy corridor, from guests and housekeeping traffic. Housekeeping knock 8.30am, so if you require DND put this on your door. Workmen drilling 8.30am, we complained direct to them, they stopped. Smelly drain in bathroom, n smell of food cook… more

Workmen drilling 8.30am, we complained direct to them, they stopped. Smelly drain in bathroom, n smell of food cooking n cigarette smoke coming into the room when balcony door left ajar. No tea, coffee etc provided in room, just the cups and a coffee maker? Large bed, small fridge that was set too low. Smoke alarm activated last night

“Excellent hotel for us the food let it down”

Hotel was excellent Good brand of drinks Comfortable room But being allergic to fish and not eating pork Was very little to eat and what we did eat was cold Shame they don't try cater with a little bit more than pork and fish
