The location of this hotel is amazing, right on the beach with a selection of bars, shops and restaurants within a short walking distance. We enjoyed beach days mostly (snorkeling was great) or beach in morning and swimming pool afternoon as the swimming pool gets so busy. There is that 9am rush to get sunbeds- which we would not entertain at all! The outdoor swimming pool just isn't big enough for the hotel- can't be helped! My kids enjoyed the indoor swimming pool also which was less busy and kept them out of the sun for part of the day. The entertainment team are brilliant, plenty of activities for the kids throughout the day and evening. We are used to self catering or staying at Villas, so this type of holiday was very different for us, it's personal preference but I haven't been swayed by the hotel option due to ques for breakfast, times to eat, ques for sunbeds, and the rips of folk pushing by to put food on their plate- my wee girl got barged into a few times, and my son had a handful of sweets he didn't eat and got nabbed by staff on leaving the restaurant that he couldn't take them out- silly really as they ended up in the bin. There was a good selection of food, however I just couldn't imagine eating in the same place for a whole week or dealing with the crowds. Like I say- personal preference! The hotel is absolutely spotless- the housekeeping team are amazing- cleaned our room everyday and are very attentive. Rooms too are without fault, we had a family room, there was lots of space, it was well equipped and the kids room was divided from ours with their own TV and 2 single beds. Beds/pillows all super comfortable! Clean hotel, great location! Had a couple of visits to Port Aventura and went to Barcelona. Amazing holiday with loads to do!

We have just returned from this hotel, and, like the other Golden hotels, the hotel was spotless. The food is very good and there is a great variety, especially the breakfast! The only thing we were disappointed with was the lack of seating in the room. We had booked a standard room and were given a room with a sea view which was fantastic. However, the room, although spotless had no seating, other than 2 garden chairs on the balcony (which were very hard). If the room had a small sofa or at least one comfortable chair it would have made a world of difference. If we wanted to sit in the room to relax for an hour or so, sitting on the balcony chairs became very uncomfortable! In most hotels I have stayed in there is usually 1 or 2 chairs or a sofa in the room. I also found that for the size of hotel, there is not enough outside space and the sunbeds are packed together. Also the pool is small and gets busy very quickly. I will definitely be booking a Golden hotel again, but maybe not this particular hotel.

Hotel Review – 5th Visit We’ve just returned from a week here, and this was our 5th visit, although we haven’t been back for around two years. There are still plenty of positives. The staff are fantastic, the location is great, and the kids’ club is brilliant. The kids’ entertainment was also excellent and we genuinely couldn’t fault the team there. The evening entertainment was okay, but it does feel like it needs a refresh. We saw some of the same acts we’ve seen on previous visits, so it would be nice to see some new entertainment brought in. Unfortunately, there were also some disappointing changes since our last visit. The food, for us, is now just average. It used to be really good when we visited years ago, but we don’t feel it’s at the same standard anymore. Some of the food combinations just don’t seem to work, and even simple things have changed — for example, the hash browns have disappeared from breakfast, which seems like a small thing but is noticeable when you’ve been coming back for years. The biggest issue, though, is the price. It has become incredibly expensive for drinks and this wasn’t just our opinion. We spoke to a lot of other guests during our stay who were saying exactly the same thing, with some saying they wouldn’t be coming back because of the cost. What really stood out was that some of these guests had been returning for 15 years or more, so that says a lot. Overall, we still had a good holiday and there are definitely things this hotel does very well, especially the staff, location and children’s facilities. But after five visits, we can’t ignore the fact that the food has gone downhill and the prices have gone up considerably. But we won’t be coming back different venue for us going forward We really hope the hotel takes some of this feedback on board, because it would be a shame to lose loyal returning guests who have been coming back year after year.
