Well what can we say about Hotel Castell d’Emporda, we have just been completely blown away by the experience we have just had whilst having our wedding at the venue. From meeting Jackie 2 years previously from which she sold us the dream and made it all so enthralling, we were fully sold on the venue before we had finished our meeting. The next stage meeting Sandra online to run through the planning stages, this is where it became all very real and the nerves began, Sandra throughout was very controlled and assured in the various stages and gave us real comfort that we were in safe hands. The next visit to the Castell was for the Food & Wine tasting, this process was simply stunning, the food and the wine was breath-taking and quite honestly we wanted it all on the menu, this was probably the hardest part of the process, and we nearly had our first argument in choosing the menu, all of the options with the Appetizers, starters, mains and desserts were excellent. We then met the Reception team, Chris & Laura, for room planning, again they were brilliant in managing through this process and make the whole allocation very simple and they subsequently managed this through our stay with expertise and with great efficiency for all of our guests. Throughout our 2 night stay that included a BBQ ahead of the Wedding Day the hotel was in immaculate condition and the attention to detail of the events team was exceptional. On the wedding day itself whilst we had plenty of nerves the whole of the team were calm and reassuring through the whole of the big day. The venue itself is stunning and our guests marvelled at the sights. The service from every member of the team was impeccable and the food was outstanding and of a quality you would only receive in the finest of restaurants. We will never forget our wedding and for the rest of our lives will reflect on how Castell d’Emporda and the people who work there with incredible passion made our stay truly memorable!

“Wonderful wedding venue”

We were very lucky and privileged to be invited to a wedding at this stunning venue. The venue is steeped in history with beautiful terraces, pools and gardens. Plenty of places to sit and telax and enjoy the scenery and warm climate. The food and local wine was delicious and very well presented. More than anything the staff were warm, friendly and attentive but not obtrusive.

Absolutely Magical! There are not enough words to describe the beauty and perfection of this place. I have found forever friends here and a place that exceeded my expectations for a wedding that has touched all of our hearts. Truly! The castle itself is beautiful with many little nooks to enjoy. The rooms are lovely, the bridal suite was like a fairy tale. The food and the ambiance was more than wonderful. And the heart of this special place were the staff. They are kind, warm, welcoming, helpful and I really mean this when I say I found new friends. We chose this place site unseen, traveling from Boston to this tiny town in Spain. This was more than a dream…it was a moment in heaven❤️

“Not 4 star, expensive, could be a lot better”

Recently stayed 2 nts in a garden room, for the price you pay, over £200 per night, you expect luxury, sadly not the case. Room was not cleaned during our stay or bed changed. First night cold shower, toilet constantly flushing, sink tap sprayed everywhere, room dusty, basic, cheap furniture, Balcony rotten was broken, view was good. Pool, lack of sunbeds, birds muck on chairs and floating in pool.New Breakfast, ran out of cups and food was not replenished enough. It could be amazing but there is a distinct feel that you are paying a high price but lacks the comfort and quality and the place is fun on skeleton staff.
