Lovely hotel with lovely,friendly staff. Check in was fast. The smell in reception is divine too! 7 floors. Our room was on 4th floor. We overlooked the car park to front but we could see the sea to our left as well. Room basic but perfectly adequate. Fridge had complimentary water on arrival. Rooms were not cleaned every day but they did empty bins,make bed & change towels daily. Didn’t replenish the milk/tea or coffee though. Safe is free of charge. Pool towels €10 each which you get back at end of stay. Can change these as often as you want during stay. Pools are lovely,3 of them all fresh water so no smelly chlorine. Not deep either so perfect to cool off in. Plenty of sunbeds. Hardly any reserving happening, just the odd one or two & lifeguard did slap a warning sticker if caught unattended first thing in morning! We would have brekkie then go get a bed around 10 without a problem. Pool bar served food for lunch & ice creams. We ate there every day as too hot to walk about outside. Food lovely & fairly reasonably priced as well. The restaurant was spacious & clean. Always plenty of seating. Didn’t have a problem with the food but the evenings were sometimes a bit samey. Desserts were my fave!! Not much outside of hotel, bit grubby being honest but a short walk there are a few shops and bars etc, also noticed a lot of empty shops which made it look a bit run down. Beach pretty much just opposite the other side of road. Never used it but did walk along it for the breeze. Looked clean too & sea was nice & clear. €8 for a bed. Check out is 12 & you can use the spa facilities for shower etc if need be. Overall we had a relaxing week here. No fault with the hotel just not great for a walk out as a little bit run down. Market day is a Thursday morning literally in the car park opp hotel. Was pretty decent too so worth a visit as so close by. Did also have screens around the bar area for the world cup. Even had a conference room set up for the 3am England game! Entertainment was not too bad but sadly if footy was on a lot were watching that rather than the entertainment. Had a couple of good bands and singers.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel and were very happy with our experience. Check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free, and the staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel and our room were clean and well maintained. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job and cleaned our room at convenient times, so we never had to adjust our plans around them. The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning, shower, and all other facilities worked perfectly. The room included shampoo and soap, but if you prefer to use conditioner or body lotion, you’ll need to bring your own. The room was slightly soundproofed, so if you’re a light sleeper, I’d recommend requesting a room farther away from the elevators. Breakfast was tasty with a good variety of options, and the facilities we used, including the pool and restaurant, were of a high standard. Although the hotel is quite large, it never felt overcrowded or impersonal. The three different pools and the lush, beautifully landscaped pool area created a calm and relaxing atmosphere that exceeded our expectations. The location was ideal for us. It’s perfect if you’re looking for a relaxing beach holiday while still having easy access to shopping and restaurants. There are plenty of nice restaurants and small local shops nearby. We especially recommend LUA. The hotel looked exactly like the photos and matched the description, and we felt it offered great value for money. We would definitely recommend it to others and would happily stay here again.

“Brilliant Stay- Few Minor Tweaks”

Brilliant stay with my girlfriend for 9 nights, lots of positives and a few constructive points. Staff all brilliant, work so hard and extremely polite. LEO from the restaurant was absolutely superb and jokingly helped with my Spanish every morning. We even tipped him which we rarely do, he’s a model employee. Hotel area is wonderfully kept, lovely rooms and pool area, everywhere is spotless. There’s 3 pools but for some reason ball games / lilos are not allowed in any of them, which was a bit boring. Sun beds not an issue at the end of June but has becoming increasingly busy. Food is GOOD but could be improved quite easily I’d say with a bit of extra care, also the food is always lukewarm and never piping hot which was a bit annoying, but there’s a good variety most nights. One thing which was UNACCEPTABLE was the lack of allergy labels, none of any of the food, my girlfriend has a nut allergy so this was frustrating. Beds in the room are a bit hard but might be my preference. Drinks in the bar are reasonable and very strong which is GREAT. Entertainment at night was good, although the entertainment through the day isn’t advertised enough and some activities don’t start till 5pm when 50% of people have gone back to their room. Location- Malgrat has the potential to be incredible but clearly lacks investment, there’s a few good restaurants /bars but it really falls behind a lot of other holiday destinations. Easy transport links into other areas, Blanes (lovely area and beach) Barcelona, Santa Susanna (large variety of bars / restaurants here. OVERALL We had a lovely time and it’s a lovely hotel, just a few minor tweaks which I’m sure other guests would agree on. Would return the area was better, no fault of the hotel.
