“A balanced review from a well-travelled family — good value and a lovely location”

“Very hot, Seaview was lovely. Beware sea noise at night, but slept well. Restaurants open 2 days Friday and Saturday only. Kept”

Good place for family holidays plenty of variety , motorhomes, campervans, etc and fixed cabins. Shop on site is very handy. Washing machines not working and no toilets near to beach, which was a pain when desperate. Only one toilet block..

Key features of the moderation of reviews

There is an automatic system that detects offensive language, in which case the review will not be published. If an owner reports one of the reviews, the review will be re-evaluated and, if it fails to comply with our content standards, it will be taken down.

Our criteria for collecting guest reviews

After getting home from the trip booked with us, the customer will receive an email asking them to review different aspects of each of the services booked. The system only allows the booking holder to complete this review and only once.

When will my review appear on the website?

Reviews typically take less than 24 hours to appear on our website. The process may take longer if our team of moderators have to examine the review in more detail.

How long will my review stay on the website?

Once it has been published, your review will automatically appear in the summary of reviews and if it is considered a featured review (based on publication date, length and quality of content), the complete review will also appear. Said review will not appear or will disappear from the system if it contains offensive language or if it is reported.

Can I get a reward for my opinion?

No. Reviews written in exchange for personal rewards such as gifts, services, or money will be taken down.

Can a review be edited?

No, once a review has been written, it cannot be edited. If you want it taking down, you can ask to have it deleted and not republished again.

Will my review appear on other websites or publications?

Once published, all or some of the reviews written by our members may be used on some of our partner sites or in promotional material in general.

If I write a review about a service, can the provider contact me about it?

No, as the personal data of the booking holder writing the review will not be shared with any service providers being reviewed. In the featured reviews shown, only the booking holder's first name will appear, meaning that there's no way that the service provider can contact you.

  • Guests at Alannia Els Prats say: Before our holiday, I read several reviews of Alannia Els Prats and was genuinely a little worried. Although the overall rating was good, some very recent reviews described the campsite as noisy, dirty and even “dreadful.” Having now stayed for a week as a family of four, I wanted to offer a more balanced perspective. For context, we travel regularly and often stay in nice hotels, so we do have reasonably high expectations. Our children are 12 and nine and need plenty to keep them entertained. We flew into Reus Airport, which was incredibly easy to navigate. It is small, quiet and we encountered no queues. We travelled during the second week of July, before most British schools had broken up, so it may be busier later in the summer. We hired a car, which I would strongly recommend if you are staying for more than a couple of days. The campsite was very easy to find and approximately a 20-minute drive from the airport. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived later than planned, but reception was still open. The person checking us in was extremely helpful, gave us all the information we needed and clearly explained the campsite map and how to find our accommodation. We stayed in a Maui B cabin, which looked exactly as it had in the photographs. It had a parking space directly outside, an outdoor dining area, an artificial-grass garden and two sun loungers. The loungers were quite dirty and the outside table needed wiping down, which ideally would have been done before our arrival. However, these were outdoor items in a dusty environment, so it did not particularly bother us. Most importantly, the inside of the cabin was clean. I had expected to need to wipe everything over when we arrived, but I didn’t. The bed linen was clean, the air conditioning worked well and the blackout curtains were effective. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. The kitchen facilities are slightly limited. There is a hob and microwave but no oven, so you would struggle to prepare elaborate meals. This was not an issue for us. We ate breakfast at the cabin each morning and occasionally made lunch, with eggs, yoghurt, croissants, baguettes and sandwiches all being easy to prepare. The campsite shop is excellent and very well stocked. On our first day, we drove to a larger supermarket, but we really did not need to. The campsite shop had everything we required and the prices did not seem significantly higher than elsewhere. The pool area was perfectly pleasant. There is a good children’s pool, and families with younger children could probably spend a lot of time there. Our children are slightly older, and we spent two afternoons around the pool during our week, which was enough for us. We would not have wanted to spend every day there. Be prepared for the pool rules, because the lifeguards enforce them extremely strictly. You cannot take food or drinks from the pool bar to your sun lounger, wear sunglasses in the water, climb out over the side of the pool or leave towels unattended on loungers for more than 45 minutes. During our first visit, there seemed to be a lot of whistles and shouting while we worked out what was and was not allowed. The campsite beach is narrow but large enough to enjoy, and having direct beach access is a real benefit. However, the sea was extremely rough on one of the days we visited, and we saw a child get into difficulty. There are no lifeguards on the beach, so parents need to be very vigilant. I would not allow children of any age to visit the beach alone, particularly when the waves are strong. On our final day, we checked out at around 11am but did not need to leave until mid-afternoon. We spent some time at the pool and then used the shared shower facilities. These were excellent: clean, plentiful and very useful for families with later flights. Our main disappointment was the on-site restaurant Windcat. The food was relatively expensive and, in our experience, not good. Our meals arrived within about a minute of ordering, and none of us enjoyed the food. You are apparently expected to reserve, although it was not particularly clear how to do so. We did not try the buffet restaurants because the Windcat experience put us off eating on-site again. Thankfully, having a hire car meant that we could visit some of the brilliant restaurants nearby. Friends Restaurant, around a five-minute drive away, was our favourite meal of the holiday. It is beautiful, the food is excellent and it is very popular, so booking is essential. Its sister beach bar, Luuma, is also lovely and serves tapas. Maykao Beach Club is also practically next door to the campsite. You can walk down to the beach, turn right and find it around 50 metres away. It is gorgeous but gets very busy, so booking is advisable. We also ate at Limonero further along the coast and discovered plenty of attractive beachside bars and restaurants within a short drive. Cambrils is around 10 to 15 minutes away and is well worth visiting for its marina, shops and restaurants. Overall, we thought Alannia Els Prats offered very good value for the price we paid. It was not luxurious and there were a few areas that could be improved, but our cabin was clean, the shop was excellent, the facilities were good and the beachfront location was lovely. I would recommend hiring a car, exploring the surrounding area and eating at some of the excellent restaurants nearby. Taken for what it is - a good-value family campsite in a beautiful part of Spain - we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily recommend it.
