Oh Golden Taurus, you had the facilities to be a 4 or even 5 star holiday- yet the very thing that let you down badly were staff (in most cases the lack of!). So we stayed during the May half term, yes you expect it to be busy, with school age children our holidays are always restricted to these peak times, but never have we experienced a hotel so unable to cope as this one! Good points * Modern hotel * Good sized family rooms with separate sleeping area for kids * Excellent waterpark * Entertainment throughout the day & night * One pool don’t open till 9am, so no getting up at crack of dawn for sunbeds * Food of a good quality And now the bad: For numerous days (until so many people had complained) there was only one bar open in the day with a max of 3 staff, the wait times to just get a drink were crazy, we actually went to the supermarket to buy some drinks to leave in the fridge in the room as that’s how bad it was. Eventually they opened both pool bars which helped, but again wait times were still quite long. The restaurant also was a complete shambles- I’m sorry but if Judith & Andreas are paid to run this, then they are clearly failing miserably. Two examples of this- one lunch time we went in, normally you have to wait to be seated, but nobody was doing that so we asked & were told to sit anywhere, so we walked past all the taken tables to find an empty one, sat down, kids went to get food whilst I waited to try & find a waiter for drinks, as usual nobody is about then I spotted a waiter so waved over, clearly they were not impressed & off they went to get Judith, who came over shouting we could not sit there & we had to move (kids back with food by this point) there were also other tables near us getting the same treatment, we explained we had been told to sit anywhere & there were no other tables free, but she was insisting we could not sit there & had to move- she had to then clear & reset other tables to then seat us. Other example of Andreas, waiting in line to be seated, he comes over & seats us at an empty table, he then places the table runners on & then leaves, no cutlery, napkins, glasses & not another waiter in sight, in the end we had to go find the station where they kept everything & set the table ourselves. The waiting staff in the restaurant work hard- there is just simply not enough of them, they have to clean & reset tables, take drink orders, clear plates, sweep up mess and do everything in between, all the while having guests try to get their attention to help them. The only member of staff who deserves a mention for praise was Danska- always smiling & welcoming you in. Housekeeping- came every day & cleaned to a reasonable standard, but most days something was missed- no toilet roll left, towels not replaced & shower gel empty & not re-filled. All minor inconveniences to have to sort out, but just added to the general atmosphere that nobody really knew what they were doing

We are currently at the hotel on a family holiday as of the 31st May 2026. I originally posted a one star review on the first day of my visit after becoming exasperated and frustrated with the sheer number of queues, length of queues and inability of staff to cope with the vast number of hotel guests. I have never felt the urge to write a review before or inform others to avoid, such was my disappointment! Although this is still a problem, it is marginally better. My scathing review was unable to be edited so this revised account is hopefully a composed balanced overview. There appears to be more staff and even the bar manager in his suit is now seen lending a helping hand. It is still dreadful but the hotel is clean, rooms comfortable and a wide selection of food. Smart modern areas, lots of activities throughout the day and a wide range of beverages. We are on all inclusive and it is good to have the option to pay a small premium for an alternative beverage should you wish. Bar wait times vary from 2-15 minutes. This is made worse often because the only member of staff has to tap every drinks order into a till which takes an absolute age, even if you just want a water!? The pool that opens at 9am has people queuing from 8.30am. I have a video of the stampede when it opens, both amusing but more so, upsetting. The pool that allows guests in at anytime has towels on beds from a ridiculous early hour. Expect school dinner queues on entry to the only restaurant. The massive number of hotel guests at meal times makes having a relaxed meal impossible. For some bizarre reason, (staff shortages perhaps), you are unable to eat outside in the main restaurant despite unset table and chairs in a designated area. I can only assume in order for the hotel to operate profitably at this price point they have to ramp up occupancy for a footprint once designed for dealing with half number of guests. Apparently the British do not mind queues so this may not be such a problem for everyone, but for me, I could never recommend or return.
