Nice apartments,basic but clean,first night the noise from the entertainment felt like it was next door but thankfully it stopped at 11. The food at the bar was overpriced and was often served lukewarn at best,still trying to work out what the try to pass as burgers! Bus stop 5 mins away and its a 5 min bus journey to salou where there are plenty of places to eat and drink,uncle sams American diner was a family favourite. There is a little shop at the bottom of the apartments which is a little overpriced too but they can get away with it because there aren’t any other shops about infact there isnt much else about in cap salou.

We are currently staying here. Super apartments with HUGE balconies. The pool is massive with plenty of space around it (a bit cold at the moment but it is not stopping the kids). The apartments are out of the way however you can get a bus pass for €10.95 that gives you 10 journeys and you can then top up for €6.95. Lovely little coves within 4/5 minute walk. Entertainment programme/Eddie fantastic.

We arrived 1st April for 4 nights as a couple and 14year old daughter. Easy check in, friendly staff on reception. The room and hotel grounds were immaculate. Our room and balcony were spacious with loads of storage. We had a view of next doors pool and the sea which was lovely. The facilities were very good and you have everything you need available in both the room or from the shop on the hotel grounds. There’s isn’t much around the hotel but there is a mini train, regular buses and reception will organise taxis for you First self catering we’ve done in years due to having younger children so the convenience of all inclusive has been our priority. Now they’re older and only one of them wanted to come with us it was a pleasant opportunity to try different cuisines. The hotel food was well priced and decent quality. The full menu isn’t available for a few more weeks but there’s is plenty of to choose from, there’s also the shop with a good selection. Overall we would definitely come back in main season. * The only gripe would be the jacuzzi, we sat around here away from the main family pool so we could relax and use our short break to unwind. Despite it being recommended for adults and signs saying to remain seated at all times there were children in all day splashing and soaking those sat near by. I love to see kids enjoying themselves and never thought I’d moan about being splashed but drenched every two mins at the adult area did unfortunately put pay to any relaxation. I get it, the jacuzzi is warmer at this time of year but a bit of consideration for others is needed, especially when there is a full size family pool.

Check in: you are required to pay tax per adult for 7 days + 100 euro deposit (you get the deposit back)! We were 130 euro before getting to our room.. It’s a nice hotel. Staff at reception are lovely and helpful, bar/restaurant staff are fine & friendly too although some not great English. The entertainment guy is fab with the kids & helpful! But the place is 3* not 4*! Extremely noisy! Never stayed ANYWHERE like it!! The walls are so thin!! You don’t need to sit down stairs for the entertainment if you’re on level one coz you can hear it clear as day in your room! However… The hotel is fine & well equipped for self catering in the apartments minus a freezer. We had a 2 bedroom end of the hotel, but it got no sunlight onto balcony which was disappointing but there are plenty that do! It’s clean enough, but rooms could do with being upgraded as the main entrance and bar areas are lovely, the rooms seem a little outdated compared to that. (But they could be in the process) cleaners are in daily except Wednesday & Sunday. Pools: there are 3. A kids pool with a small slide & sprinkler statue. A large pool (freezing cold but once your in it’s ok) & then the jacuzzi with warmer water. Most of the kids used the jacuzzi coz the pools are so cold. Sun doesn’t appear til lunchtime at the hotel & pool opens at 10am. Shop on site is useful and helpful, stocks what you would need. Can be pricey for some things. Like for 4 juices and some sweets I was more than 20 euro… Food in the hotel is ok… nothing to write greatly about. Ate once in hotel & didn’t bother again, it wasn’t for us. But plenty people did! Didn’t have breakfast in the hotel coz I wasn’t paying 9.50 euro for each child when all they eat is cereal or fruit. Getting into main salou, use the bus number 3, 4 or 47 at the bottom of the hill to the right of the hotel. There is a bus plana shop across the street from bus stop buy the card & put tickets on it. We spent 40 euro for a week and that got 4 of us in and out of salou sometimes twice a day some days but went into salou every night except 1! Down the hill to the left of the hotel and down another hill is a lovely restaurant called tropical. Food is fabulous! And a decent supermarket next door (Michael angelo)! Entertainment on every night in the hotel and stuff during the day most days for the kids. There is an arcade on site it’s small but fine to play in & pool tables. There is a gym also and a laundry area (we didn’t use these). Portaventura - we booked in the bus plana shop - guy was helpful. Get the number 1 or 74 to the theme park! Overall for the price for self catering for a week wasn’t fully justified, but we met some lovely families, the kids all played well, we got some sunshine & it was a nice holiday but if I was to return to salou I would book central salou. Not cap salou. Or this hotel again. Solely because of the noise level and the area & lack of sunshine to the hotel til lunch time.
