“Good apartments”

Great location, close to beach, strip, shops. Supermarket right outside. Really nice staff. Pool wasn't very big but wasn't too bad. We were able to use the sister hotel for pools and entertainment which was great as no music or entertainment at the apartment pool or bar. Very clean and fresh apart… more

Great location, close to beach, strip, shops. Supermarket right outside. Really nice staff. Pool wasn't very big but wasn't too bad. We were able to use the sister hotel for pools and entertainment which was great as no music or entertainment at the apartment pool or bar. Very clean and fresh apartments, good size balcony with the superior rooms.Food was good, always found something nice. Did hear doors banging now and then but not too bad. Could do with door stoppers to help with this. Not really a place I'd take a big group of kids, There were more older people relaxing. My dad (68) enjoyed the peace and quiet My daughter 8yrs enjoyed it here but not much going on for kids. We were out most of the time as magic park and bosc park are few min walk. Would return as I thought it was value for money for location and service.

We are currently staying in the California apartments. Good staff breakfast and dinner Good. Room service brilliant Nice location spacious apartment. No Electric kettle or toast in the kitchen we had a lovely quiet few days before a few families arrived with very noisy children banging doors bouncing a ball on the balcony children that should be in school The door should be soft closing . So unless things change I wouldn't be coming back. Which is a shame because up until then we were having a lovely relaxing holiday 😎

“good experience”

can’t fault the hotel staff friendly very clean nice rooms food at breakfast was great couldn’t complain pool was cold but i went in september so that was the reason

My partner and I booked a Half Board package holiday in Salou with TUI starting on 30th September 2025. One of the main reasons was that we had flights from Cardiff. My partner and I booked a Half Board package holiday in Salou with TUI starting on 30th September 2025. One of the main reasons was that we had flights from Cardiff. Everything ran smoothly and we were soon disembarking at Reus airport. Strangely they didn’t use buses to transport us to the terminal but as it was sunny we didn’t mind the walk. We were soon on the coach and we were in Salou and the first drop off at the corner of the road on which Apartamentos California was located. We went to the reception desk and checked in and as we arrived in the morning we were told our room would be ready in an hour or so. We left our luggage in the secure room got drinks and headed to the pool to relax. After an hour I spoke with the receptionist who said our room was ready so I took the luggage up to our first floor apartment which was clean and well laid out. The kitchen had microwave, oven, fridge clothes airer and ironing board but strangely no iron. The bathroom/shower again was clean and tidy with a hairdryer and shaver point. The breakfast and dinner buffet was good with well cooked food plenty of choice and helpful staff so another plus! One very slight minus is that because of the orientation of the pool in relation to the building you find yourself moving your way down the line of sun beds from 11am until about 3pm at which time the sun has made it’s way back to the first sun bed. Not a lot that can be done about that and only a minor issue, as is the pool which is quite small and shallow. The location is great for the shops as they are very close and it’s only a couple of blocks away from the sea so don’t expect sea views. There is a bus stop on the main road adjacent to the hotel with a regular service to Tarragona and Barcelona although we booked our trip to Barcelona with TUI and enjoyed it immensely, but be prepared to walk (we covered 7 miles according to my Apple Watch). As we decided to make our own way around the city rather than following a guide we were dropped off and picked up near the Maritime Museum which is by the port and only around the corner from Las Ramblas so we walked through there and had a look around La Boqueria food market which was about half way down. Then we meandered our way to the square at the top where we took a right turn and made our way to the fantastic Sagrada Famiglia. We Al We had a great time and we would happily go back for another stay. Excellent staff and great value for money!

Please be aware this is only our opinion.!!! This is our 1st time here 1st May - 8th May Checking in was 1st class from the staff We were told they upgraded us to a superior room couldn't wait to see ?? Well basic and small but very clean There is none existing signs for anything around like toilet… more

This is our 1st time here 1st May - 8th May Checking in was 1st class from the staff We were told they upgraded us to a superior room couldn't wait to see ?? Well basic and small but very clean There is none existing signs for anything around like toilets or how to get around to bar or restaurant or pool or lifts Meal times Breakfast 8am -10am Lunch.    1.30pm - 3.00pm Evening  7.30pm - 9.30pm We booked half board. If you want to make a brew in apartment ask for a kettle there wasn't one in the kitchen We had a 2 ring cooker top, fridge & a microwave, and utensils Supermarket right outside main entrance thank god Breakfast had a good choice hot & cold Evening meals again good choice but really needed to be hotter many items just luke warm Such a shame. Beach 10min walk down a road with plenty of shops restaurants & bars Every member of staff was excellent All in all not going to be a return from us.
