My brother and I really enjoyed our stay at the Cala Font Hotel. It is in a great location ideal for spending time on the beach or enjoying the many coastal walks. The hotel is very well maintained and the staff are polite and efficient. The rooms were large and immaculately presented. The food in the restaurant was good but needed more variety especially the desserts. My only complaint was that there was no evening entertainment until the last night of our stay. But overall the hotel was great value for money.

Stayed here 9 or 10 years ago, wasn't massively impressed, but thought there may have been some improvements, which to be fair there has been. The rooms have much better showers now, and the food whilst not fantastic is a considerable distance better than it was on our previous stay. Still no better than a 3 though as this was advertised as having entertainment, something we hoped would have also improved given we have 3 kids with us, unfortunately entertainment has been non existent really, never seen the advertised mini disco, all we've seen is a face painter, the view from our rooms is also quite poor. The area with pool tables/ couple of arcade games is really dated and the pool tables will take euros and not release the pool balls, or the white won't always come back out if potted by mistake etc. Again as with last visit can't criticise the friendliness of most of the staff but would agree with earlier review, cleaners do leave room doors wide open, myself and daughter returned to our rooms earlier ( we have 2 as 5 of us here) and the other room door was wide open where anyone could walk in. Overall it's been ok and definitely been some improvements, sadly it's just lacking largely due to being outdated in some of its facilities and lack of entertainment, it's genuinely somewhere they badly need to improve and don't seem to have over almost a decade.

“Fickle pool staff/lifeguards”

Had a lovely first few days at Hotel Cala Font, staff were nothing but friendly, pool was amazing. Halfway through our trip however room service left our door open so that anyone could enter and have access to our valuables, which obviously raised questions about security. On our second to last day I tried to enter the pool with a float (all week families and children have been using pool floats, toys, and children were even hitting and splashing people with pool noodles with no protest from staff) and the second I got to the water the lifeguard began shouting “No!” at my partner and I and pointing at my float. At no point were we told floats aren’t allowed and I did not appreciate the hostility considering I can’t swim and have had no issues with my float any other day. Lifeguard seemed entirely uninterested in anyone else and was on his phone the rest of the time (except for staring at us). Ended up leaving the pool due to the unwelcome environment. Shame for him to ruin such an otherwise lovely experience.
