This is our 3rd year staying at Belvedere and we really enjoy it, reception staff are great always helpful, food is great something for everyone can’t complain about it and staff work hard in restaurant have read reviews of people complaining about them but there job isn’t easy listening to moaning people that you couldn’t ever please, we got sun beds no problem and there was 7 of us 2 families never had a problem, the lifeguards have a lot to listen to young lads doing there job, when we were there I seen them save 2 kids who’s parents clearly weren’t keeping an eye on them and also 1 of the guys had a child who couldn’t find his parents and the lifeguard isnt there on baby sitting duties, and these guys get some abuse yes they took towels if beds were left after so long but people think there names are on these beds well there for everyone,Entertainment well I must say it wasn’t the same this year from our past 2 years,we really missed Raul and Danni from the poolside they were great entertainers, but still had a great stay and enjoyed Salou.

“Good stay”

We had a good time staying here. Some pros and cons. Good location, about ten mins from main strip and beach. Hotel rooms were nice and clean. Although not overly big, we pushed the 2 beds together and up against the wall so it left some room at the side for suitcases. Kept prams out on balcony. We were in room 1531 and would suggest avoiding this room if you have small children or like to go to sleep early. It’s just above were the nighttime entertainment is and it’s very very loud until about 10.30/11pm every night. The pool slides were great. We were there in June and pool was soooo busy, can’t imagine what it would be like in July/August time. Sun loungers were always busy but we always managed to get one. We were family of 4 with 2 young children so only needed one to put our stuff on and to sit out on every so often. They could do with someone keeping check on the small children’s splash pool as large teenagers would run crazy through it even though small children playing. The man from the animation team who done the children’s disco was brilliant. The rest of the staff were not very friendly. Especially the staff in the pool bar and the bald bartender in the cafeteria section. I ordered a cocktail of him one day and slammed glasses down in bad temper and started shouting in Spanish to another man standing at the bar. Very intimidating. We were half board. Breakfast selection was fantastic, a lot of choice. And then you could queue for pancakes, fried eggs and omelettes. We changed to get our lunches there instead of evening meals. We were really happy with the options every day. Hot dog stand, pizzas, pasta bar, rotisserie chickens and then lots of other choices.

“Salou 2026.”

Location is really good. Kids club is more themed did you get kids but that’s not to takeaway from the kids club staff,as they are very good with the kids. Location is really good. Kids club is more themed did you get kids but that’s not to takeaway from the kids club staff,as they are very good with the kids. The rooms are basic,not much clothing clothing storage for 2 adults and 1 child but I enjoyed living out of a suitcase for 2 weeks lol. Atmosphere is good,the staff on reception are a little bit slow but you’ll eventually get what you need. House keeping staff are brilliant,couldn’t fault them. Biggest annoyance was the pool beds,people queuing up at 8:15 for 9am opening to towel drop and leave. This was apparently policed by staff but we only witnessed this once. If you don’t get your beds for 9am you’ll spend the day in seats around outside bar. Otherwise go to the beach 10 mins away €30 for 2 beds and a parasol/cover. We enjoyed our time in Salou but wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

“Little disappointing”

We have stayed here many times .But unfortunately we will not return to this hotel. Although excellent location for PortAventura park. The standards have dropped massively especially around the pool area. The pool was packed to the max every day with Large float rings and large blow up beds allowed in the packed pool with kids coming down slides it was pure carnage and an accident waiting to happen. The staff were pleasant. Cleaning was excellent. The strong smell of weed when trying to relax on your balcony with children was a big down fall. The security around the pool at night definitely needs to be improved, we witnessed on many occasions small children running around the pool area right up the edge of the pool also leaning into the pool and walking down the ladder into pool with no adults at all with them (children looked no older than 4 years old) shocking to witness. The food was okay most days although supervision with smaller children around the food should be enforced with children coughing all over the food and picking up food with fingers and putting it back down .
