Good location on edge of town, spotlessly clean, well equipped. Lovely pool area, plenty of loungers, free parking. 5mins from Cala del Pi beach (lovely little cove, safe for swimming, though shingly rather than sand, and sea does shelve deeply and quickly). Quiet for families (though our room with a sea view was possibly quieter than those that were pool-facing). Could have done with a tea-towel with the towels, and there was no kettle. Would have been nice if pool inflatables were allowed (lilos, rings etc). 10mins walk to main strip - plenty of lovely shops, restaurants and beach. Very Spanish resort, which was lovely, (few British), and as is often found on the continent, there were a number of topless ladies on the beach, and even on one occasion by the pool, which may deter some families. Good supermarket Consum in nearby Calonge or Aldi and Lidl at far end of Platja D'Aro, with numerous little Spar mini-markets in-between. The only issue was, the day before we were due to arrive, we were offered a 'complimentary upgrade' to their sister apartments the Apartamentos Benelux at the other end of Platja D'Aro. But having looked at TripAdvisor reviews we felt it would have been a downgrade. We declined the offer, only to be told that due to a technical issue, they didn't have an apartment at Treumal for us, despite us having booked 6 months earlier. It took calls from our travel representative and the receptionist having to contact her head office, for them to re-jig future reservations, so that they were able to offer us an apartment at Treumal. It was an unpleasant hour's wait and not a nice start to our week, but we were very glad we stood our ground as we had a lovely week's stay at Treumal, and Platja D'Aro.

“Good location and quiet hotel for beach holiday”

Location is near beaches. Nearest beach is only 150 metres to walk. There are many small beach near hotel. Also the main beach is walking distance. Room is very basic. Beds are good. Location is near beaches. Nearest beach is only 150 metres to walk. There are many small beach near hotel. Also the main beach is walking distance. Room is very basic. Beds are good. Bathroom is very nice and clean. Basic room, but there is everything you need Our boys spend time in the pool and they really liked the pool. Restaurant and grocery stores are quite near. Reception is open in the morning and evening. If you check in late evening you have to call the reception number to get your room key. Only problem was safety box. Safety box doesn't work. We told reception that safety box is broken. Service man try to fix safety box, but safety was still broken.

“Lovely visit”

Good clean and well equipped apartments with a good pool area. These apartments are in a great location just on the edge of Platja d'Aro and 5 minutes from the costal path and some lovely small beaches. Quiet at night and a 10 minute walk into the centre of town.

Simple accommodation, great location, and value for money. Looking at the pictures I noticed there has been a renovation not to long ago. We booked a one bedroom appartment which was spacious, had a nice bathroom, and a good equipped kitchen. There is a nice pool. The reception isn't open all day... more

Simple accommodation, great location, and value for money. Looking at the pictures I noticed there has been a renovation not to long ago. We booked a one bedroom appartment which was spacious, had a nice bathroom, and a good equipped kitchen. There is a nice pool. The reception isn't open all day, so call before, at what time you can arrive. The location is great: not too far away from the beach, and a nice stroll away from te center with lots of shops and restaurants.

Having just read a recent review from Chocoblanc I would agree with most of it, except with a hire car we were a bit lazy to walk down to the main shopping and eating street in the evening. Having just read a recent review from Chocoblanc I would agree with most of it, except with a hire car we were a bit lazy to walk down to the main shopping and eating street in the evening. We did not find the couch in the lounge area that comfy but the air conditioning, wifi and the basic kitchen equipment were all fine and we did not bother buying anything extra and managed to cook 2 or 3 times!. We also liked the fact there were no English language TV channels and had to watch the Olympics even from a French viewpoint (as not even the main Spanish channels on the TV!) It was also for us a very pleasant surprise to hear at the apartments only French and Dutch and in the town mainly Catalan with some Spanish too. We just loved Platja D'Aro and for sure will be back, maybe to Treumal Park even. It was more expensive than other properties I was looking at (leaving it as usual to last minute) but well worth it!
