I think the recent reviews are somewhat harsh. I went with my 8 year old son. I picked Spain as a safe choice for my first holiday alone with him. The hotel looked like it would tick a good number of boxes, with pools, next to sea, self contained, etc. We had half board, which seemed sensible as was not going to make the most of all inclusive. Sure, when we arrived it was a bit of a nightmare. Queue was long and the girl who checked us in was not very friendly and provided no information at all, just gave us room keys. Went to the pool and then, later on, when it had quietened down we went back to reception. This time we met Luis, who was the exact opposite - super friendly, kind and really helpful. Amongst other things, he set us up with a credit account and wrist band so could order drinks etc without needed cash, card. Gave us all the relevant info. I thought the room was decent (we had junior suite overlooking sea and one of the pools). It was big, clean. The only downer was the shower water didn’t smell great (something I have noted at other locations). The main buffet restaurant had decent selection and was more than edible. It did get busy and loud, depending on timing. With half board you could chose between lunch or dinner - although to be honest we ended up having both on one occasion without being asked to pay a supplement. We tried the Japanese restaurant on last evening. Was not too expensive, but to be honest not really worth it. The main waitress was friendly enough and fun. However, it was a bit chaotic, mainly as she seemed to be the only one doing much work. I thought the pools were pretty good, warm, lots of life guards around. The slides are ok - but don’t expect a water park! For that we spent a day at Mario Park which is a 13 Euro taxi ride away. That was good fun and also better than the online reviews (my son loved it). A lot of people seem to complain it is too Spanish. What you expect, it’s in Spain and not in the more Brit occupied Costa Del Sol. I actually liked the fact it was more “native”. Sure the entertainment was in Spanish and mostly started around 10pm. But we were on holiday and at least it cooled down a little by then. The main downer was it was very difficulty to get seats unless you got there very early and sat around. Luis gave us tickets for free loungers on the beech. We made use these a couple of times. The sea is nice and warm, but do not expect a sandy beach. It’s basically fine stones. We also went to the marina at Aguadulce (about 16 Euro by taxi) and did Jet skiing and parasailing with Marina Jets. Again, was good fun. I hadn’t done a package holiday in years. Beech holidays are not really my thing. However, my assessment was this place ticked the boxes I expected it too. Was it “amazing”…no. Was it decent enough and better than the majority of recent reviews. I definitely think it was. We warmed to it after the initial unfriendly and unhelpful checkin process.

This is my honest review Positives Hotel lovely in majority of places Plenty of outside spaces and inside spaces to chill Swim up room lovely extra add on Chunks of wall missing by door these finishing touches woukd not be a 4* Negatives •All sun beds are taken early and beds around front of pool are an additional cost which you are NOT told on arrival Cleanliness was very poor! On arrival after we were told our room wasn’t quite ready as it was being cleaned we go into our room to find hair in the bath and on the bath tiles snd in the bed. Around the toilet pan was dirty too and finger marks all over the glass to the swim up terrace. Rooms are basic and not even a mirror at the dressing table. •Check in Queue long and slow any extra information we were told by other English people staying there and not reception staff. •Pools are dirty! it even stained all white bits on swim wear yellow and the bottoms of our floaties i will include on photos •Hair found in food •Plates dirty in restaurant •Staff ( especially angel) was exceptionally rude and to my child •All kids and evening entertainment is in Spanish which was disappointing so all entertainment was pointless watching We were told by an English couple that whilst all inclusive we could eat in the evening at the grill restaurant on site. Again we were not told this on arrival by reception or the fact that we had to pay for drinks in there even tho we were all inclusive. This meal was a disaster as we ordered a mixed platter to share. It came out with 3 chicken pieces on a bone floating in oil. I said to the waitress I think she got our order wrong and she said no other meat comes after. I was confused as I had ordered a mixed platter to share. The pics on menu show ribs and other meats so seeing a plate of chicken I genuinely thought my order was wrong. The waitress typed into her translation that more chicken an pork would come after we eat the chicken. I will just add the chicken arrived at our table no more than 3 minutes after we put the order in. We decided to leave as it was pink. We upgraded to all inclusive when we got there but they wouldn’t change our bands and gave us a paper ticket to show when ordering drinks or food. This was a nightmare having to take a paper card woth you each time you get into a pool or pool area to get a drink and the times we forgot our card or my daughter went up to get her own drinks and gave our room number they would tell her shes not sll inclusive. This is not to put people off but to be totally honest about our stay. I spoke to many others there an others felt the same or had similar experiences. I will not return to this hotel and was quite disappointed with how much we have paid for this level of cleanliness and customer service
