The best hotel I've ever stayed in and includes Hyatt Regency Singapore, Monte Carlo, Venetian and more. Absolutely everything here has been thought of for you. Treated so kindly. The Spa area is free (most hotels still charge a few). Indoor heated pool, hot jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, and child free before midday if you or a busy parent want some time to themselves! There are some reviews saying it's on a steep hill. Not really. The steep hill is reception but access via Taxis. On arrival you are shown how to leave and enter the hotel on a route with only a slight slope. Eg reception is on floor 3, where the taxis pull in. They explain you get the lift to floor 0, so 3 floors below Reception - where the Beauty rooms and indoor spa are. Keep walking follow the signs for 'Supermarket/Beach). Go through a heavy security door. Continue Then at the end the supermarket is opposite or you go left to the beach/coast road. Here about 20 steps further is an amazing bus stop! So many buses and different routes all over. Eg I got the bus to Benalmadena Port, shopping, Málaga city!, Benalmadena Pueblo, Benalmadena Stupa, Mariposario (butterfly park). Any journey is only 45cents with a bus card. I also went to Mijas Pueblo. To get back via the path you use your hotel room card at the security door. Late in the evening the path is locked so you'd got a taxi back as I did. Also have walked late up to reception and it's not bad - but for someone with a wheelchair, infirm or pushchair if late at night after side path locked - you'll need a taxi to get to reception. The entertainment is free every night. Happy hour 241 on drinks. Saturday is Flamenco - this was absolutely incredible. A dance group of powerful women and we were all moved. The food absolutely gorgeous, I booked Self catering but paid for breakfast and a meal for the 1st day. The breakfast is a huge fresh buffet and the best I've had - rivals USA buffets! The multiple types of Tea, coffee and juice top quality - rare for many hotels. The rooms are stunning. All apartments have a large bedroom, lounge and dining area, full kitchen with 2 hob rings, full fridge, microwave, kettle, tea coffee sugar milk. 2 bottles water. Rose petals and towel teddy on my bed! A slim door on the wardrobe hides a full ironing board and iron (so you don't have to go to reception and ask, or put deposit down). Lots of wardrobe space and free Safe. The bathroom has a bath, overhead shower also a separate shower cubicle, so if with a partner or others it's easy to get ready at same time. Free shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush toothpaste. The balconies are lovely, lots of different views. I had a pool view and what a view! Pool area - this was the best! Many loungers so you're never worried about not getting one. I was so pleased they have a rule where you can't reserve a lounger then go off for hours. Last holiday in Ibiza you had to queue up at 8am and then people were running to get a lounger and maybe 30% got one. The area the hotel is in is a lovely part of Benalmadena. The beaches there are lovely. Beach restaurants too with beautiful Paella and other meals, cocktails. The hotel has a shop, has complimentary things line sewing kits, phone chargers (if available) anything they can do to help you they will. If you want a 4 star hotel with 5 star staff and standards this one is for you.

Definitely a family hotel, I think couples would be overwhelmed with kids in the summer- luckily for us we went slightly off- season. Definitely a family hotel, I think couples would be overwhelmed with kids in the summer- luckily for us we went slightly off- season. Although there is a kids pool, the indoor pool was full of parents with young babies. You need to get in before 12pm. We loved the indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna which are all included free but again the pool is only reserved for adults in the morning. Overwhelmed by the friendly staff, animation team in particular made the holiday special (please consider the effort they do and give them a pay rise!) Remembered our name and got us involved with all the activities. Enjoyed the evening meals and breakfast but we weren't keen on the lunch system- raw meat and fish on display which you carry over to get cooked . As chefs it screamed cross- contamination to us and we probably wouldn't get away with that in the U.K. Room was comfortable, balcony is just a brick wall to look at if you are in a studio room. Not a problem for us but some people might moan. Again from a couple point of view you can hear babies screaming from the early hours, its maybe worth considering if you like a long lie. Some reviews mention a steep hill but if you follow the path down by the tennis court it is much easier and there is a good supermarket across the road next to Burger King. Really enjoyed the karaoke but it was over within the hour. If you could get it to stay open by 12am in the summer I'm sure you would draw in a crowd. In a time where certain areas of Spain are feeling hostile to tourists, we were treated with nothing but kindness . Thank you very much Love from Scotlandx

“Fabulous for family with young children”

I booked 2 rooms half board (via Jet2 who were excellent) for my extended family, including 1 and 4 year old. It’s the experience the children enjoyed that made this an excellent holiday. Great choice of food for fussy children (and myself as vegetarian) via buffet. Also, there’s a cheap supermarket 5 mins walk towards the beach to buy bread, cheese etc for lunch to take back to the apartment style rooms or to have a picnic. I can also recommend the Green Monkey burger bar near the supermarket/petrol station for a change. Mini club for the children was good, but barely supervised so an adult needs to be with each child. The children’s pool was a good size. Excellent, clean beach a few minutes away - the main road is quicker but very steep, but the path at the back of the hotel is shallow but slightly longer. We used the free mini-bus to get close to the Parque - could easily spend all day there as it’s very pretty and the cafe was cheap.

1st of all we were a family of 11, 8 adults and 3 children, we chose the all inclusive option. 1st of all the food was delicious and plenty of choice for all our different appetites, I would definitely try the snack bar option through out the day which was also delicious and plenty of choice ,the alcohol drink selection was also very good, the pool was cold but you could also use the indoor pool and jacuzzi and gym, the outdoor play area was great for the younger children to use while you sunbathed round the pool, the indoor soft play area was larger and great for the kids as was the kids club...cheers Benny! The rooms were modern and large enough with a great balcony and the cleaning team were exceptional and always left you a towel decoration elephant,anteater,bear and others. The dining team and reception were always welcoming and helpful should you need anything. As for the negatives the hotel lies at the top of a steep hill but does offer a taxi service too and from the beach if you book early enough, also the entertainment for the younger children came on too late should start about 7pm not 8.30pm. Overall I and my family would definitely return to this hotel due to the quality of the food and drink and cleanliness of the hotel rooms and hotel facilities. Thank you Belamadena palace.
