We were unsure of the hotel after booking seeing the transfer distance and reviews, firstly the transfer for us was nothing like described being 2 to 2 and half hours ours was around 1hr 30 to 1hr 45, that may be to do with easyJet numbers rather than other holiday companies. The atmosphere was friendly and staff polite as usual there are the ones who seem to be on a go slow and others who go above and beyond but isn’t that everywhere in a hotel if this size, Check in was great they were more than helpful in settling us in and directing us to our room. Our room was a family sea view room, probably the best sea view room we have had, it was clean and tidy, the housekeeper came everyday, always had toilet rolls and towels and bed made. The entertainment was perfectly acceptable the team were great with most people if you were willing to engage and be friendly yourself. Queuing for drinks is the normal at any holiday destination, whether that Butlins or another hotel, just be patient and pick your times even when you queued in the evening there was always 3 guys on the bar when it got busy, same as the the daytime just be patient lots of people all wanting drinks all day but you would be maybe 5mins to 10mins.. The food was absolutely fine, this is the first time I have been away and not been ill due to poor food, I ate fish / Shellfish every day too so I was running the risk. Lots of people complaining about the variety but to be fair there is only so much you can do when catering for so many but for us we didn’t get bored as they switched it up enough to keep it fresh enough. I will also say the Balinese beds and whirlpool with fruit and champagne is brilliant and a nice touch a great way to spend a day for a decent price too. The price we paid we were happy with what we got, of course there were issues and items like broken glass and loose tiles around the pool etc but that is no different to any hotel. I think the only thing that needs to be sorted is the star grading as different operators give it a different grading. That is not a slight on the hotel as we were happy and it exceeded our expectations based on the reviews.

Location: Situated in south of Fuerteventura - near Morro Jable fishing village. 20 min walk to beach. The transfer on bus down was like hour 45 ; back was like hour and 20 minutes. Atmosphere: stale and boring. Entertainment was weak. Animation team did some stuff with kids there but not much for adults to do compared to other resorts. Bars painfully slow; limited drinks, understaffed. 3 bars but 2 of those seldom ever had beer and there was no Malibu or equivalent. took ages to get served at busy times. Rooms: We were fortunate enough to have a sort of suite - bedroom with living room and en suite. Though not all rooms maybe like this. bed and room was quite good. three Toilets in foyer-only one had a working lock. The little blue tiles were just come away from the pools - kids were picking them up continually; red tiles around infinity pool and on some paths around were loose and uneven or broken. Lots of choice of food in air conditioned restaurant - but…. It gets ultra busy - people , kids and staff flying all over like missiles. Some of the food is definitely re-used. You see the same things re-worked into a new meal later……. Slightly worrying given it’s sat there all day. Nothing is particularly labelled - if you were vegan or had special needs it would be. Sometimes they would have 'pork' sign above chips and 'frites' sign above the pork...... Overall we weren't impressed. Maybe we were spoiled staying at other Fuerteventura places over the years (this was out 7th visit) but first 6 were 2000-2006. All the restaurants along the front of Jandia that were there are now gone and replaced with low rent toot shops. I felt I didn't get my moneys worth on the all-inclusive , but the bars are being run down to a price not up to a quality ; and are clearly skimping.

We stayed for a week from the 4th August. The decor of the hotel is modern but could do with a lick of paint and some maintenance, although I appreciate with a hotel of this size maintenance is a never ending job. The location is great, beautiful views and a short walk to the beach. Food is fine for an all inclusive, plenty of fresh fruit/veg, salad, fish, chicken, rice etc. The only downside really is how busy meal times are, it really did feel like feeding time at the zoo. Long queues for alcoholic drinks, often waiting 20+ min day or night. Staff were all lovely, very friendly and they work incredibly hard, but it appears the capacity of guests outweigh the facilities with sunbeds taken early in the morning, and not enough staff to keep up with the demand. There were plates and broken glass around the hotel, but I put this down to poor guest behaviour and don’t feel this is the fault of the staff. They tidy when they can, but with thousands of people behaving like animals they are fighting a losing battle. As a result, we spent very little time in the hotel and most of it at the beach which is beautiful. I do think it is value for money, and would consider returning at a quieter time of the year.
