Another amazingly relaxing hotel at Atlantic Gardens. We were supposed to travel in February but my hubbie was unwell so we put it back to April. We were very happy with our given room. As usual we felt we could unwind the minute we arrived - we wer told our room was not quite ready so to go and have lunch and a glass of wine, which we did. There is plenty of choice in terms of food and only at breakfast a bit of a crush in the dining room, especially when trying to use the toaster. This issue is not unique to Atlantic Gardens. Is there no better system available?! Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable with good quality white linen. I don't know how anyone can say the rooms are not clean. All staff are really helpful and friendly, especially at the bar. There is a worse sunbed issue going on than previously. We had to make sure we had shade because of my hubbie's condition and if we didn't get up early there was no chance of getting a shaded area for us. Surely this is something that could be sorted out? Aside from that, we had a lovely relaxing and peaceful week and can't wait to return as soon as possible.

This was our 5th time at Atlantic Gardens and once again we had a great holiday! Weather was brilliant, food was great (always plenty of choice), entertainment was good and the staff are amazing and work very hard. We were given the same room as last year and can honestly say that the cleaners are so thorough. Thank you Atlantic Gardens for another wonderful holiday and we will be back.

Just returned from a really nice few days at this resort. Having stayed in Playa Blanca at several different resorts, Atlantic Gardens is good value for money. Yes the resort is slightly older than some, smaller than the newer hotels and is showing signs of wear and tear but it is priced accordingly, it isn’t Dreams or Iberostar but you aren’t paying those prices either here so not a fair comparison for me and the staff work really hard to keep it spotless. Accommodation has plenty of space, a bit dated and slightly worn in places but again really clean, great sea view if you can get it. As per previous reviews, it does attract older clientele which didn’t bother us (in our 40s) the whole place was friendly, quiet and relaxing. Decent size pools (one heated), two tennis courts, crazy golf and daily activities to join if you want to. There is an interesting early morning ritual of people getting their towels on Sunbeds (from about 7am) but that didn’t bother us, some days we were by the pool some days we went to the beach. Food was of good quality, plenty of it and always a good selection to choose from, there is self service beer, hot and soft drinks machines, help yourself fizz and decent wine at mealtimes, the cocktails were a little ropey in my experience but nothing to get upset about. Location is super, set along the main boardwalk by the sea, a short walk to the lovely Flamingo beach, continue on that path to the town and Marina Rubicón beyond that. All in all we got what we came for, a reasonably priced short break in the sun, good food, good weather, spotlessly clean, no complaints and thank you to the hard working staff.

I’m here now until Saturday 4th May. This is a fair review. The staff here are wonderful and all the areas are clean. The bungalow we stayed in is clean and tidy but it is starting to show signs of wear and tear. Some light switches don’t work. There is a very strange area at the back where there is nothing, no chairs or anything but there is a table and chairs at the front. And a glass door to the back of the bathroom where people can see in, we covered it with a towel. The main beds are lovely and comfy but the sofa bed is hard and thin. The food leaves a lot to be desired. There is always something to eat, fresh salad, bread etc BUT and it’s a big but. The food is put out under heat lamps in ceramic dishes, not hot plates so the result is a lot of the meat is warm at best. Sausages at breakfast were cold! The most upsetting thing for me is the dirty plates. Just at lunch time I picked up 3 in a row from the stack with potatoes and tomato still stuck to them. Same with the pudding bowls. I think you may need a new dishwasher or turn the temperature up. The atmosphere is very relaxed which is great and it’s very quiet. No loud music playing during the day and because it’s adult only (older demographic) there are no kids running about screaming. Although the apartments are very nice and pleasant I don’t think we will return due to the food and dirty plates which is a shame.
