This was our second visit and it didn't disappoint. We went Royal Elite this time and the rooms and view are worth it alone. The hotel is beautiful and clean and all the team from check in to the restaurant to the maids were lovely, polite and friendly. The pools are awesome and we love the mini golf before dinner. The room was great, big, lovely views of the sea and Fuerteventura. And a mini bar with prosecco, beer and soft drinks for the kids. The pools are lovely we spent most of our pool time in the cold pool which although the bigger pool was quieter due to the temperature of that pool but personally we found it quite refreshing under the sun. The beaches which are next to the hotel about a 20 minute walk are beautiful, golden and if you walk along to the second beach almost private. Definitely recommend walking into the harbour on market days loads for f stalls and some really lovely shops and restaurants. The restaurants onsite are lovely, good selection of drinks and the food even after ten days is plentiful and varied and we had two picky kids with us. The bars and staff are great and we loved the evening glass of prosecco listening to the saxophonist on the sun terrace a really lovely touch. All in all a great holiday, can't recommend highly enough can't wait to go back.

Visited Playa Blanca many times but 1st time in this hotel . Pros - Check in was easy with Marta who was very friendly and helpful. Actually all the receptionists were super friendly and professional. Room very spacious and comfortable (G930) It was very clean. Bathroom was great except for the main shower head which wasn't working. We should have reported it but the smaller one worked so we didn't bother but will tell reception before we leave. The air conditioning was good and quiet. Cupboard space adequate but needs more coat hangers. One of the cupboard doors didn't slide well so very difficult to open and close. Again we will tell reception before we leave. The lighting was great and I loved the full length mirror with a plug socket next to it. Well done!! The English TV channels were ok as we didn't watch TV except the news in the morning. The adult pool area was great too and the pool bar very good. John the batman is just fabulous remembering everyone's names and orders. Lovely man. The toilets around the pools and reception areas were spotless. Only used the snack bar on arrival and it wasn't to our taste but that's a personal thing. The main restaurant was well run and the food was good. All meals had a good choice. Tables were cleared quickly and quietly. Fusion was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our Mexican meal there.The oriental meal was nice too. Lovely restaurant. Supermarket just down the hill was good with plenty of choice. The onsite shops were good too. Cons- Shower head broken.Cupboard door sticking but reception staff were friendly and efficient and I'm sure if we had told them these things would have been fixed promptly. Small thing- The restaurant should serve bowls of soft fruits at all meal times as not everyone eats desserts. Individual fruits were hard. Overall a very pleasant stay and we would definitely come back here.

“Very Good – All Inclusive Hotel – Great Views of the Sea and Friendly Staff.”

We stayed 8 Nights - May 24 – in a Seaview Superior Room with Royal Elite upgrade The Hotel is well located right on the seafront and the view from the room was fantastic. The beaches are generally rocky but there is an accessible “Sandy” beach in front of the Hotel. Fairly isolated, there are a few local shops and cashpoints a short walk away. A walk along the promenade to the marina is a great way to walk of Breakfast, with a market running twice a week. Check in was seamless and all staff were very helpful and friendly. The whole site was well serviced and kept clean and tidy. Room: Well laid out with a good size balcony, the sea-view was fantastic and really added to the holiday. The stocked minibar was handy as was the coffee machine for a pre Breakfast Brew. Food: Offering the usual all inclusive buffet fare – but done very well, the salads were good as was the fish and meat from the grill, we always found something nice to eat. As to be expected the main dining area can be noisy but the Royal Elite upgrade provides a more relaxing dining experience for breakfast and evening meal, drinks are served at the table but the food is still buffet. Drinks: Even without the Royal Elite upgrade the drinks were OK, some international brands like Smirnoff vodka and Larios gin. But if you are fussy then the Royal Elite gives you access to 2 lounges one with an outdoor area the other adult only with self serve drinks all top shelf – Glenfiddich 12, Cardhu 12, Havana Club 7 year – various gins including Tanqueray and the ubiquitous Gordon’s, plus Remy VSOP and some really great Spanish Brandies etc etc . Mixers are bottles and includes Schweppes tonic water, Pepsi, 7 Up and premium fruit juices, with snacks available all day – 10am – 11:30pm Only things I would like to see in the Royal Elite – would be a nice Bourbon and some Angostura bitter. Overall we had a very relaxing and highly enjoyable holiday. The Sandos Papagayo delivers in the price range it competes in. At under 1000 pounds per person for 8 nights including the Royal Elite upgrade with flights and transfers (May 24) it was good value.

Been here a week now,with 3 days left. First impression was very good, although the hotel is massive it took us a while to find our room,blockC floor 2 with a lovely view over the beach,good size balcony but no clothes dryer for your towels and swimwear. Thought housekeeping was good at first but dropped something on the floor which went under the bed. Dirt was disgusting and seemed to have dirty feet whenever in the room. Food is ok with plenty of choice,,had a lovely meal in the Mexican restaurant and going for Chinese tonight,we get one visit to each restaurant. We sit by the adult only pool which is usually fairly quiet but really loud music plays by the pool above which is deafening,this alone would probably put me off returning to this hotel. The self service drinks are poor quality as are the mixers behind the bar. We go to 2 other 4* hotels in Lanzarote and in my opinion both are much better quality and have waiter service where here there are long queues for the bar.
