Just returned from a fantastic 10-night stay! We emailed the hotel before our holiday as my partner’s son has an allergy and needed a fridge in the room. They made a note on the system and told us to speak to reception when we arrived, as we also needed two rooms close together. When we arrived and mentioned the email, they had upgraded us to one of the biggest apartments in the hotel, meaning we could all stay together. At the time of booking, no two-bedroom apartments were available. As we arrived late, we were also provided with a bag of food, which was a lovely touch. The hotel is kept spotless. The cleaners are always around, ensuring everywhere is kept clean and tidy. The only downside is people reserving sunbeds and then disappearing for hours while other guests are waiting for a bed. Good location close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return!

We had a fantastic stay at Sentido Aequora Lanzarote Suites and would highly recommend it, especially for families with children. One of the biggest highlights of our holiday was the amazing kids club and entertainment team. Emilia, Ali, Angie, Rose, Kristina and Moka to name a few were absolutely brilliant! They were so friendly, caring, energetic and attentive with our daughter Elsie and really went above and beyond to make sure she had a fun and memorable time. It was wonderful to see how quickly the kids felt comfortable with them, and their enthusiasm and positive attitude made such a difference to our holiday. The hotel itself was lovely, with great facilities, a relaxed atmosphere and plenty to keep the whole family entertained. The rooms were comfortable, the pools were fantastic and there was a great choice of food. A special thank you to Emilia, Ali, Angie, Rose, Kristina and Moka for making our daughter’s holiday so enjoyable. They are a real credit to the hotel and deserve to be recognised for the fantastic work they do. We would happily return to Sentido Aequora Lanzarote Suites and hope to see the amazing kids club and entertainment team again!

“Lovely holiday , couple of things.”

Just got back from a 10 day break at the Hotel & had a great time ( Group of 7, 5 adults & 2 children ) . This was the 2nd time we visited the hotel & still looks great if a little tired in some areas , could do with a lick of paint here & there.. The hotel & pool areas are spotless & the staff are always cleaning. The entertainment team work very hard no question of that but something we did notice was a lot of the team & activities are geared towards the French ( very high occupancy here again ) which is fine.. Our son is gluten free so we have struggled a little with his food options, we work on hospitality so would say the food & service is not 4 star, 3 star yes.. The hotels in a great location just a 6-7 minute walk into Los Pocillos which has some great little restaurants , if you want to go into Puerto Del Carmen it’s a 5 minute taxi drive & less than £5, worth a visit with a fantastic beach..

We returned to the hotel this year after having a fantastic stay back in 2022, and overall we had a lovely family holiday. There are so many things we really enjoyed and would happily praise. The entertainment was excellent, and the grounds are beautiful and incredibly well maintained. We constantly saw cleaning and maintenance staff around, and the grounds were genuinely spotless. The bar staff were also very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant staff were a particular highlight. They were fantastic professional, efficient and incredibly friendly. They were always chatting to and smiling at our 15 month old son, which really made us feel welcome as a family. Drinks orders were taken quickly and the service was generally excellent. Our room was perfectly fine and met our needs. Before arriving, I had requested a fridge for our son's milk and a travel cot, and the hotel very kindly provided both, which we really appreciated. There were, however, a few areas where we felt there had been a decline since our last visit in 2022. The splash area is a new addition since our previous stay, but unfortunately it was very quiet during our visit and didn't seem particularly appealing. This meant the other pools were noticeably busier. We did hear that a new children's pool is planned, which is great news and something that would definitely improve the facilities for families. We also noticed some issues with cleanliness in the restaurant. On several occasions, freshly cleaned plates still had food stuck to them, and we noticed that the placemats on newly set tables were often dirty. I didn't see the placemats being cleaned during our stay. This was disappointing as the cleanliness around the rest of the hotel was so good. For families with very young children, a children's food section in the restaurant could also be a welcome addition. We've experienced this in other family hotels and found it really useful, particularly when travelling with a toddler who can be a fussy eater. Unfortunately, though, our biggest issue was our experience on our final day, and this is what may ultimately put us off returning. When we arrived, we asked about the possibility of a late check-out and were told that 5pm might be possible, but to ask the day before. We did exactly that and were told we could keep our room until 3pm. We were happy with this, as travelling as a family of five with three children, including a toddler, the extra time makes a huge difference. However, on the day of departure, two cleaners knocked on our door at around 2:45pm wanting to enter the room. We explained that we had the room until 3pm and were rushing around trying to get ourselves and the children organised and packed. Our room keys had also stopped working at 11am, which had already caused some inconvenience. The cleaners then returned just before 3pm. My partner answered the door while holding our toddler, who had a dirty nappy and was about to be changed, while I was about to get changed myself. He asked for a couple of minutes. The cleaner then asked if they could take the visible towels from the floor. My partner said yes, assuming this was all they wanted to do, but one cleaner lifted the towels and then ushered the other cleaner into the room, and they began hurriedly cleaning the apartment while I was still in a towel and our toddler was undressed and needing his nappy changed. We found this extremely invasive and upsetting. We completely understand that staff have their jobs to do and that rooms need to be cleaned for the next guests, but we had been told we had the room until 3pm. We simply needed a couple of minutes to get our children and belongings out. It left us feeling as though we were being hounded out of the room rather than being treated with the privacy and respect you would expect, particularly with young children. What should have been a relaxed final afternoon became incredibly stressful, and unfortunately it left a real sour taste after what had otherwise been a lovely holiday. I did raise this with reception before we left, but I haven't heard anything further from the hotel, which was disappointing. Overall, we had a good holiday and there are many things we genuinely love about this hotel. The staff in the bars and restaurant, the entertainment and the immaculate grounds are all big positives. We also really appreciated how accommodating the hotel was with our toddler's needs. However, having returned after such a brilliant experience in 2022, we did notice some areas where standards seemed to have slipped, particularly in the restaurant, and the experience on our final day was something we really feel needs addressing, and hopefully no other families experience this stress. I hope the hotel takes this feedback constructively, as with some improvements, we would love to be able to return in the future.
