Lovely clean hotel. Corridors good do with a bit of a tidy up but room are clean and spacious, plenty of space for two people. Lovely clean hotel. Corridors good do with a bit of a tidy up but room are clean and spacious, plenty of space for two people. Pool area kept clean and tidy with bar staff collecting glasses throughout the day. Restaurant is lovely, altho food is just the usual all inclusive that you'd expect. Lovely touch of being asked if you would like wine or beer when you sit down, usually this is out of a machine in other places. Staff are extremely polite and happy to help. Indoor spa an extra bonus if there is a rainy day which we did have. A good 10/15 min walk to main alcudia port and 25 min to the old town. Only one staff member for entertainment but he is lovely. Kristian I think his name was. Would return for def Highly recommended

“Fantastic hotel and staff, would not hesitate to go back”

Visited here with a group of friends for a relaxing holiday and it was excellent. The food was great, loads of choice and different every day. We also tried the a la carte restaurant one night and the tasting menu was a fantastic selection of local cuisine. The rooms were very spacious and spotlessly clean, as were the bathrooms. The only slight issue is that there could be more clothes storage but this didn't bother us. We were not expecting to have access to the full spa (hot tub, steam room and sauna) included as standard and were very glad of it, especially on a couple of bad weather days that we spent in there, it's small but was perfect for relaxing. We found out when we arrived that the hotel had only opened the day before, and the staff were all amazing. We could see some new faces being trained up while we were there and everyone was super friendly, and couldn't do enough to help us. One evening we did witness another guest being extremely rude to the reception staff as he was cold, he shouted at them for an extended time but the staff member remained very professional and handled this extremely well in the situation, I don't know if I would have remained as calm had I been in her situation. The entertainment was also great fun, a good choice of events and Cristian was very attentive despite being on his own at the moment, but did not pressure you to join in if you wanted to relax either. he taught one of our group to play chequers as well, not to mention the straw trick. All in all, fantastic holiday and would not hesitate to go back again.

“More a 3 star than a 4 star”

My adult daughter and I stayed 4 nights on half board basis. I am very glad we didn't upgrade to AI, as the food although plentiful, was mediocre - we only ate dinner there on our first night, preferring to dress up and eat out in the old town/port of Alcudia, which was really lovely and reasonably priced. Breakfast had a good choice with omelettes made to order. I discovered the fresh orange juice was cordial which was disappointing. We had a 2nd floor pool view room (NB: you could only see the pool if you stood up!), the balconies are very close to each other, divided by high rise bars which didn't create a particularly welcoming feel. We found it very noisy at night, as the "entertainment" (guest singers (which were ok), bingo and karaoke) was in the pool area beneath the room, but fortunately, it didn't go on too late in the night. Our patio door only locked on one side and although shutting it the best we could, without it locking it didn't create a good seal which resulted in us being able to smell the cigarette smoke in our room, from people sitting out on their balcony next door, which wasn't very pleasant. The room was clean and adequate in size, although lacking in long floaty dress storage space. What was particularly annoying was the fridge light didn't turn off, so we had to cover it up with doubled towels in order to sleep as it light the whole room up!! Also the balcony lights don't turn off either, but there are blackout curtains which did keep the light out. We weren't able to switch the shower from rain forest mode to spray mode as the button wouldn't stay in, and the shower flooded half the bathroom floor every time which wasn't ideal! No heated towel rail to dry the towels, but thankfully the towels were replaced each day which was much appreciated. There's a hair dryer in the bathroom but no extractor fan, so not possible to dry your hair in the bathroom as the mirror gets all steamed up and the air is very moist, so bring your own hairdryer and dry your hair in the bedroom instead! There's a kettle, mug, glasses and tea and coffee bits in the room which are replenished daily. We had a small bottle of water in the room on our arrival day, but that was not replaced. The room was cleaned every day and the bed very comfortable. We wanted to book a spa treatment but it was fully booked (so we had a thai massage in the old town instead). We visited the spa one morning, but we didn't stay as there was a naked man sat in the sauna!! The reception area is bright and spacious and gives a better feel than the hotel corridors, which are drab and dreary with stained flooring. We didn't find the staff particularly welcoming, on asking at reception where we got the pool towels from, we were told "you need to say the safe word" which didn't make any sense to us and the following day, we asked someone else at reception and she simply gave us two pool towels, so perhaps there was a misunderstanding when we asked the first time? The weather wasn't that good whilst we were there so we only used the sunbathing area one day. The pool was very cold and the sun loungers were quite uncomfortable. The hotel is a short walk to the white sandy beach and it's about a 15 mins walk to the old town/port, which I would recommend visiting. We took the bus (302) to Palma which took just over an hour, lots of quality shops and beautiful buildings/architecture. On landing, the bags took ages, as did the transfer, arriving 3.5 hrs later at the hotel having stopped off at endless hotels before arriving at the Bordoy. Then on our return, the Easyjet transfer failed to pick us up, despite us being ready in plenty of time, which resulted in us having to pay for a taxi and the inconvenience of having to claim the cost back from Easyjet! Despite this, we had a pleasant short break and Alcudia was good, but I would rate the hotel more a 3 star than 4 star.
