Just back from Viva. We were a party of 12 which included 5 children,4 of which were under 9 years.The children’s entertainment was fantastic they loved it and there were varied activities.We were in club selection all inclusive.My wife,my son and myself had a 2 bedroom apartment,on a previous visit our air conditioning was terrible but this time is was better we were on 5th floor this time which might have made a difference.The food was good but getting an omelette at breakfast was mission impossible even when I did it wasn’t brilliant.Service everywhere was fantastic.Vanessa on selection reception was great as was Maria on the drinks truck.You do not walk out of the hotel and the beach is there as I see mentioned sometimes,it’s a good 5/10min walk depending on speed, trying to do it in 37c shade temperature is a challenge.Plenty of bars within 3-5 min walk.The biggest let down with the Hotel are the Sunbeds.Towels are on beds from at least 7-00 am My son in law used to go out for a run each morning and he ended up putting his down as well.We went to Selection area each day which had Balinese beds.By 9-00 am most days all these beds had towels on some of which were not occupied till gone 11-00am(I know because I had to get a bed at 7-30 and I stayed and took turns having breakfast with my wife.They tried to control this in the main pool areas but they only managed to remove max of about 10 beds because they were so slow with the system they had.I’m sorry but it does spoil your holiday.The occupants of the apartments on the same level as Selection Club were the worst culprits because they thought they had the right to reserve beds and not use them even though they had beds in their garden area.I cannot see the hotel resolving this issue so if you go in peak times be prepared to get your beds by 8-00 am latest.Apart from this I would recommend this hotel for children and the service is exceptional

This is our second stay with Viva as we previously stayed at Viva Blue and enjoyed it so much we booked here at Viva Sunrise and it didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious and plentiful. This is our second stay with Viva as we previously stayed at Viva Blue and enjoyed it so much we booked here at Viva Sunrise and it didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious and plentiful. I am coeliac and there is always plenty for me to eat, particularly at breakfast where I am always presented with a basket full of gluten free cereals, breads and cakes. The staff are friendly and helpful. We are not early risers and there are always sunbeds available. The rooms are clean, spacious and well maintained. The complex felt very safe for children. My boys made friends with some other children and I felt I could relax knowing that they were safe within the hotel and the pools were not too deep for them to stand up in. Overall, a wonderful stay, thank you again Viva!

We’ve just checked out after 10 days on a bed and breakfast basis. Overall we were happy with the hotel and facilities. We were in a 2 bedroom Seleccion club apartment with terrace and pool. Room 157. The room itself was nice. The kitchenette is pretty tiny, as is the second bedroom but luckily the sofa bed was fine so we had enough room. The bathroom is also tiny which wasn’t great for 4 people but we managed. We only used the pool and Seleccion club facilities once or twice as we had our own terrace and plunge pool. But the Balinese beds were comfy and the pool was small but decent. We didn’t use the main pool either but it seems good for smaller kids although it was pretty hectic. If you want something more relaxing then probably worth paying the extra for Seleccion. The staff on the Seleccion club WhatsApp were very helpful and super responsive. The location itself is good. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby although we choose there so we could easily go to Pollenca and Alcudia old town. Unfortunately there is a massive shortage of taxis so we really struggled. The hotel couldn’t help either as they all use the same app (Mallorcab). Once we waited 40mins in the queue on the app and still didn’t get a taxi. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would happily stay at another Viva hotel.

“Bad start”

Arrived late at around 4pm and rooms not ready. Do not get the room overlooking the air-conditioning units of the supermarket below. Apart from that the hotel was very good. Pools were good, food good, bar staff very good, and generally very good overall
