Really enjoyed our stayed. Location could not have been better.....2 mins from all the restaurants and beach too. Really enjoyed our stayed. Location could not have been better.....2 mins from all the restaurants and beach too. Great atmosphere in the hotel.....great entertainment each day at the pool and there was also live music each night. All staff were so helpful. Rooms were perfect very clean & breakfast was unreal great variety. Overall.....we thought it was great value for what we got during our stay. Definitely going to return next year.

“Returners”

Hotel as always was amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. The showers really do need replacing as floods constantly. My only complain is with Maria the entertainment lady. She doesn’t seem to do much and she asked my husband and several other people to write her a good reviews on trip advisor!!… more

“Data breach and poor service”

On our arrival we were told that someone had made a mistake and had checked us in already. The man on reception not only told us the name and details of the other person but could not sort the error and asked us to check in in the morning but he would show us to our room. He then requested to keep our passports until we returned in the morning. I refused for him to keep the passports and he took a photocopy instead. We arrived in our room and the air con was fairly poor. The lowest it went to was 18 degrees, if wasn’t a huge problem but other people in the hotel told us theirs went to 10 degrees. The next morning we returned to reception to check in, there was another issue and we were told to pay our tourist tax on the final day we left. The staff did not come across as helpful or polite. We went down to the pool around 10:30am. All the sun loungers were occupied by towels but no people. There were multiple cabanas with no one at them. The mezzanine/terrace upstairs with sunbeds on was closed with a chain over the staircase. I then went back to reception to ask to buy a cabana for the day and was rudely told no and I could only pre-book for the next day. I did explain again that I wanted one for that day but I was rudely dismissed very quickly. There was also a very strong drain smell around the pool area of a morning, however this did go through the day. The room was adequate. We were on the 3rd floor (room 328). The shower leaked constantly. Whenever the shower was on the bathroom would flood. The drain was not draining quick enough and the shower base was not deep enough to hold the water. The smell form the drain was horrendous whenever the shower was on also. The air con unit would leak on to the floor. The drying rack on the balcony was falling off so could not be used and the front door had a large gap at the top right. The TV was tiny almost like an IPad attached to the wall. It was not in eyeline view of the beds, it was almost at the top of the wall.

We recently stayed at Hotel Fido Tucan in Cala d’Or for a holiday. The staff were very friendly, helpful and hardworking, and the evening entertainment was excellent and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The pool area was also lovely and a great place to relax. Thursday pool party was definitely not for us. We booked a pool view room, but unfortunately the view was almost completely blocked by a large tree, so we couldn’t really see the pool at all. This was disappointing, especially as we had specifically paid for a pool view. The hotel itself is quite outdated and would benefit from some modernisation. The room smelt damp & had mould round the sink. Breakfast was okay, but unfortunately the food was often cold, which was disappointing. We were B&B so can’t comment on evening dinner. We also noticed people come in from the street to use pool and sun-beds as they had friends staying at the hotel, no way for hotel to monitor this also no checks at breakfast again anyone could come in. One of the biggest negatives was seeing a cockroach in the dining room at breakfast and another on the stairs in the morning. One at night at the pool bar. This really wasn’t pleasant and did affect our impression of the hotel. Lots of dirt glasses left out all night at the bar. Overall, we enjoyed our holiday and appreciated the friendly staff, lovely pool and nice cocktails, excellent entertainment, but the hotel could definitely do with updating and improvements to the food temperature, and cleanliness.
