We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The location is excellent-perfectly situated for exploring the area while still offering a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is kept absolutely spotless, which really stood out from the moment we arrived. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going out of their way to help. A special mention must go to Natalie the entertainment manager-she truly makes the whole experience. She's funny,quick witted,hardworking and nothing is too much trouble. You can tell the guests love her and its easy to see why - she brings such a great vibe to the hotel. The only small downside was the food which could have been a bit warmer and more variety offered but that said what they had was fine and definitely edible. Overall a fantastic stay and we would happily return!

This was a brilliant week we spent in this hotel The room was small but had everything needed Staff are very friendly and helpfull Food was good Entertainment was worth sitting in the hotel for Plenty sunbeds no need to get up early to get them The beaches are lovely but if going bring water shoes as there is lots of rocky areas but worth going into the water Natalie makes the day and night entertainment great too This is a hotel I would go back to as I felt relaxed there

We had a lovely time at the Bonamar all the staff were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A special mention for Victoria in reception went above & beyond. We stayed in a premium room with jacuzzi & sea view it was fantastic would highly recommend it. Our room was cleaned every day and the ladies did a fantastic job. Location is prefect for walking between Cala Bona & Cala Millor.

We recently stayed at Protur Bonamar and, overall, enjoyed our holiday, but we don't feel this is a true 4 - star hotel and wouldn't return as we'd prefer to try somewhere different. The Good: The hotel is in a fantastic location, and the air conditioning worked really well for us (as long as you keep the balcony doors closed). The food was excellent, with plenty of choice every day, although we thought the Italian-themed night was disappointing. I celebrated my birthday during our stay, and it was a lovely surprise to find a bottle of cava and a birthday card in our room, as well as being given a glass of cava and a slice of cake at dinner. It was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. The hotel is generally clean, although it's beginning to look a little tired and could benefit from a refresh in places. The staff were pleasant, particularly the restaurant team and the housekeeping staff, although we didn't find them as exceptionally friendly as many previous reviews suggest. The rooftop pool area was lovely and quiet but why are there not any parasols up there? The Not So Good: The water pressure in our room was very poor. The bathroom sink was tiny, the shower door squealed every time it was opened, the toilet flush button stuck constantly and the bathroom extractor fan constantly switched on and off. Every time someone used the bathroom at night, the light would come on and shine through the glass partition into the bedroom, waking us repeatedly. The rooms are quite small and not particularly well designed. Accessing the balcony was awkward because the cupboards were in the way, and the balcony itself was very small with no shade in the mornings. The in-room coffee was disappointing, especially the powdered milk sachets. There is also only one lift serving the entire hotel, which often meant waiting. The smoking area beside the pool bar was unpleasant, with overflowing ashtrays and half-empty beer glasses left from the previous evening. This wasn't cleared until around midday each day. We also noticed bins around the pool area and at the front of the hotel regularly overflowing, and the pool itself had what looked like pieces of sandwich in it for most of our stay. One thing we observed was that many of the glowing reviews seem to come from returning guests. During our stay, these groups appeared to receive preferential treatment, with larger drinks at the pool bar and noticeably friendlier interactions from staff. They also tended to be the loudest guests around and in the pool, which detracted from the peaceful adults-only atmosphere we were expecting. As with many hotels, sunbeds were reserved early each morning, so if you wanted a good spot, you had little choice but to do the same. The Bad: Although complimentary water is available at breakfast, you have to pay €2.85 per bottle at dinner. We found this disappointing. If the hotel is concerned about covering the cost, we'd much rather pay an extra £10 per person when booking than be charged for such a basic necessity during our evening meal. We also chose not to pay €40 to keep our room after checkout and instead used the courtesy room. Unfortunately, this was a small, hot room in the basement with a shower, which wasn't the nicest way to end what had otherwise been an enjoyable holiday. We had bathroom towels replaced mid stay, sadly one of the clean towels appeared to be covered in rust marks and was dirty although reception did replace it immediately when I complained. Overall: We did enjoy our stay and had a lovely holiday, thanks largely to the great location and excellent food. However, in our opinion, Protur Bonamar falls short of the 4-star standard. There are too many maintenance issues, some questionable housekeeping standards, and a few disappointing policies that take away from the overall experience. Would we return? No - but we're glad we gave it a try.
