At the beginning of this review I will caveat by saying that I spend 4 days of this 5 day holiday without any of my own luggage. Pros: LOCATION AND THE VIEWS!!! (see photos) I arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night, sweaty, tired and upset. When I walked into my room (4203) I was so pleasantly surprised by how cool and comfortable it was. Room was spacious, shower was good, bed was comfy, air con worked and didn't need touching and view was amazing Food was nice, lots of variety, and lots to choose from. Pools: my sister did the 6am towel run but the pools were lovely, especially if you get a lounger that you can turn around and face out to sea - beautiful. (see photo) Middling Staff, being someone who was quite distressed I found the staff lacked a bit of empathy. That did change on Day 3 when I asked if my luggage had finally arrived and the poor girl had to say no again. I knew that there was nothing they could have done but would have appreciated just a little more understanding/empathy. Cons: (nothing to do with the hotel) The location - the hotel is very nicely situated on the cliff however the small town is a waste of time. It feels unloved, unkempt and other than a few small souvenir shops and a small fun fair for kids there really isn't anything there that would make me what to walk in each evening. Id much rather sit at the reception bar with a glass of wine enjoying watching the world go by.

“Perfect week away”

Delivered exactly what we expected, our daughter made use of the kids club. The entertainment staff were fantastic with us all and very energetic. There’s plenty of choice at the buffets and drinks. We loved our stay here great value for money in a beautiful location

We've just returned from a weeks all-inclusive stay as a family of 4 (kids are 7 and 11). The resort has a great holiday atmosphere, with beautiful sea views, pools and plenty to keep the children entertained. The entertainment team worked incredibly hard throughout our stay, and our children absolutely loved the evening shows they put on. We watched two shows in total, both put on by the entertainment team, and they were both really excellent. On the other nights, there were local dancers or bands playing, which we chose not to watch. The shows started at 9.30pm, which for us was just too late to keep the children up for every night, but that’s obviously personal preference. Our room was modern and clean, although we did think it was quite small for a family of 4. Our children managed on the sofa bed, but realistically, if the children were much older or bigger, I don't think they would have fitted comfortably together. The sea views around the resort are absolutely beautiful and really make the location special. We got a taxi down to Calas Domingos. Although the walk (15 minutes) is manageable for adults, in the heat it was simply too much for our children. When I asked reception to arrange a taxi, I did feel that the lady's reaction was a little unwelcoming, as she seemed surprised and vocal about the fact we didn't want to walk, but given the heat and having children with us, it was the right choice for our family. We couldn't fault the food. There was a good choice with a different themed nights throughout our stay. There was something for everyone. My husband booked a massage, which he really enjoyed. We also used the gym equipment, which is well located in front of the pool. There were a couple of things we weren't so keen on. The €20 cash deposit per towel for pool towels seemed extremely excessive to us. We weren't really sure why the deposit needed to be so high, particularly as pool towels are something you'd expect to be included when staying at an all-inclusive resort. We also thought the loungers and parasols could benefit from an upgrade. We also noticed quite a lot of rubbish being left around the pools and lounge areas and it didn't seem to be cleared particularly often. To be fair, I would say this was more down to some holidaymakers than the resort itself, as people should obviously put their own rubbish in the bins. However, we did feel the resort could have done a little more to keep on top of the general daytime cleaning. Overall, though, we had a great family holiday. The beautiful sea views, excellent food, great pools and hardworking entertainment team made it a really enjoyable stay. There are a few small areas that could be improved, but we thought that, as all-inclusive guests, it was very good value for money.

We stayed at Alua Calas de Mallorca for a week and overall had a good experience, although there were several areas that could be improved. We appreciated the late dinner option on arrival, as we arrived late at night, although the variety was limited. The room was comfortable, but it was surprising that a 4 star hotel, especially one part of World of Hyatt, did not provide a tea/coffee maker. Most of the staff provided good customer service, with the exception of one lady at the Jumper Bar, who was consistently rude during our interactions. We understand that working with many guests can be challenging, but a friendly and nice attitude should be met professionally. The food buffet offered plenty of options and the food itself was good, although some dishes were repeated frequently despite the themed dinner nights. Unfortunately, the bars were the biggest disappointment. We ordered an alcoholic cocktail on our first night and it was good, but when we ordered the same cocktail the following night, it was essentially ice, water and a little juice. We tried another cocktail at a different bar and had the same experience, and even the “cocktail of the day” was just juice with ice. When we asked the staff, we were told that this was how the cocktails were supposed to be. As people who only drink a few times a year, we can certainly tell when there is little or no alcohol in a drink. If alcoholic cocktails are not included in the all-inclusive package, guests should be informed clearly rather than being served juice with ice presented as a cocktail. Finally, we were disappointed that we could not access any snacks or lunch on our checkout day. Although checkout was at 12:00, our bracelets were immediately cut, and we had to wait until 14:00 for our transfer without being able to get food or snacks. This was our first experience of this at an “all-inclusive” hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but these points prevented the experience from being as good as it could have been.
