Lovely hotel. Clean modern and welcoming. Close to the airport but not in an intrusive way. Great location by the sea. Great breakfast and dinner selection, catering for all. Room was nice, with all the amenities you could want, large balcony space, we had a sea and pool view. Range of entertainment through the week- but again not intrusive, from aqua aerobics to paella making. Evening singers added to the atmosphere. Bars and restaurants and long stretch of beach very close by. Highly recommend.

So many hotels to choose from in this area but we were very happy to select the AluaSoul. We loved the location as it was away from the busier part of Can Pastilla but only a five minute walk to many lovely restaurants and bars. The hotel was renovated a few years ago and actually still looks like it’s new. Tastefully done and immaculately clean. We had a gorgeous room overlooking the pool and the sea. It was lovely sitting on the balcony watching all the activity in the sea and surrounding area. We booked the bed and breakfast option as we like to go out for our evening meal. However, there were several options for purchasing food within the hotel which we did on a few occasions and we were not disappointed. One of the highlights was a paella making demonstration with the option to purchase a portion at the end. It was delicious! Drinks were good quality and not overpriced. The evening entertainment was varied and very good. There were excellent musicians entertaining us during the day around the pool which we enjoyed. Lots of nice sitting areas inside and outside the main areas. The pool is not huge but was lovely to swim in when not too busy. The hotel is near to the airport which we were happy about as its a short commute. The noise from the planes didn’t bother us at all and we were never disturbed whilst in our room sleeping. All the staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely return, hopefully next year.

Our 2nd vist to this hotel, I was excited to stay in a sea pool view room because of the view and privacy. I was deflated to be allocated room 201. On the 2nd floor next to 2 lifts and you only had a view if you stood up and was over looked by over 10 balconies it was not very nice and should not be classed as sea view pool view its a view of everything and everyone. I was re roomed immediately to 308 which ticked all the boxes I paid for. Restaurant in the evening, the food was fabulous and the staff were professional. Breakfast was well prepared and well managed. Receptionist was fabulous. The pool was warm and inviting after a day out to Palma. We went out every night to the local bars so did not use the bar at night. On our last night we decided to have a drink in the bar, we sat at a table that needed a good wipe, we like the table the bar was in so waved to be served no one came to serve us, so we went to the bar and ordered a drink and asked for the table to be clean, the vibes I got was that I should not have been asking that and it seem an inconvenience. I ordered a caliso coffee. The coffee came with out a biscult and the coffee was half filled with the rest of the glass filled with cream, not what im use to, I felt that I could not complain about this due to me asking them to clean the table and I felt lack of service at this time. Im glad I used the bars outside the hotel because aervicd there was spot on and they smiled at us

This small 125 bedroom hotel was chosen as a quick quiet getaway for my wife and cousin who needed a quiet holiday after a major illness. I did not realise it was a Hyatt group hotel. We have stayed at Hotels around the world and they are luxury hotels, wonderful service but higher on the cost range than other chains. So what is The Hyatt doing with this small hotel in Majorca.? The Alua is like a tiny crumb left behind on a plate of cakes. It’s not high end luxury like its illustrious owners, but it has inherit a large degree of good organisation and cleanliness. It sits at the eastern end of the Arunel beach in Cam Pastilla, close the end of the runway of Palma airport. Now that may put you off, but it is only 5 min from the airport, you cannot hear the planes on the eastern and southern parts of the hotel and to be fair did not impinge on our holiday. The Hotel, its rooms and its pool areas are spotlessly clean. All the staff are courteous and helpful. The pool has adequate sun beds and towels are provided and can be exchanged for clean ones. Pool bar service from waiters is a bit sporadic but visit the pool bar and they soon serve you and bring it to your table. Bar prices are reasonable both for wine and bears with a good selection available. The restaurant food was good with a wide range of continental options,well cooked and presented. But labelling was inadequate you needed a magnifying glass to read some description and other dishes had no description, however this is a minor point. We did find the restaurant a little hot at times but you have to gauge this to 37 degree heat outside! There is a small clean gym offering cycles and weights plus a Smiths machine. Unfortunately, the one and only running machine was out of action for our whole week stay and sometimes there were no towels. Thee wed also free weights and mats. It was adequate for our stay. The rooms were a standard size of about 60 sq ft. very clean and well maintained with clean towels daily. A minor grip was that the sower door took us two days to work out how to stop it leaking water into the bathroom. The secret, was to push it gently closed from inside to outside of the shower. Our room was at the end of the hotel,facing south west and giving a great view of the Majorca sunset. There is entertainment in the hotel from some excellent singers and musicians. There was only one night when it was very loud and poor with a squealing long haired shouting out non ballads by Meatloaf etc, I guess you will get the picture. There also pool activities run by the staff which were light hearted and fun. Being an adult only hotel did allow peace and quiet. All together, ignoring the planes and leaking shower door it is a very good Hyatt baby hotel and one I would recommend for a short stay.
