“Good hotel with a good size pool. Nice holiday”

The transfer time is quite lengthy at about 1.5 hours but we pleased at what we saw when we arrived at the hotel. Check in was delayed as rooms were not ready but we were given our All Inclusive bracelet and told to go and get dinner. On our return to reception, we were allocated ground floor rooms (as requested, my daughter and family were next door) in the block by the pool, restaurant. Rooms were a good size with a separate bedroom - we hired a kettle for for the week at a cost of 10 euros which was refunded at the end of our stay. The complex was large and has indoor pool, mini market, sauna, beauty treatments, gym, snack bar for food and drinks, a small park and football courts,which my grandson and his father used regularly. The entertainer team worked hard at the mini-disco to keep the kids occupied, although this was not every day as the season had just started. We watched part of a circus act (juggling and balancing act) on one night which was amazing and another night there was a female singer who was good also. We loved the food in the restaurant and snack bar and you could literally eat all day if you wanted to - worth the money. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and extremely hard working and interacted with my eldest grandson, daily - they were teaching him some Spanish :). Nothing was too much trouble - we had a problem with the sink and within 10 mins of reporting this to reception, a maintenance man arrived and sorted the problem. The cleaners were in the room every day and were friendly and cleaned the rooms well. There are a number of inclines and slopes within the hotel grounds which could be a problem for someone with mobility problems (I found this out on a personal level) but I managed with help from my family. The beach was about 700 metres away and has a number of shops and restaurants around the area and we noticed how the beach was very clean - in fact C'an Picafort and Alcudia old town were very clean. They do like their bikes in Majorca and you can see streams of cyclists on the roads. Some minor things could be improved such as curtains put back on rails but this did not hinder the holiday one bit We took a taxi into Alcudia old town at the cost of 23 euros one way - this had parts of an old castle still standing and was picturesque but seems to have more residents living there than paying tourists. Port d Alcudia is the part that has alot more going on which loads of bars, shops and restaurants. I would book this hotel again

“Good value but dated.”

Just had a 3 night stay all inclusive with a group of 6 brothers and sisters in our 60’s. Just had a 3 night stay all inclusive with a group of 6 brothers and sisters in our 60’s. Great staff, food and value for money, Having stayed in 7 different hotels in Can Picafort this hotel is well due a refurbishment. We booked 3 rooms and were unfortunately given 3 rooms in totally different blocks which was quite inconvenient. Rooms spacious but with dark brown cupboards and furniture 25 years out of date. Microwave and stove ( not necessary as All inclusive but not kettle). Toiletries basic, ie, just a soap dispenser. The UK channels in our room were unobtainable but in other rooms working. A hazard to point out are the pavement Lights on the way to blocks 2 and 3 not working ( take a torch) quite dangerous, apart from that all good.

Arrived at 10.30pm to check in and given our room card, after paying tourist tax fee. However the hotel is split in to several remote block of flats away from the reception & restaurant building! And being quite dark at night, with paving lights not working, had great difficulty getting to our block, which was furthest away in the compound. It was made more difficult by not having blocks numbered as our block was no 3, so had to check all the blocks in near darkness and no one showed us! We’re told we could have a late dinner at the restaurant but there’s nothing left to eat and slept hungry! The food is good and has good variety and quite efficient in clearing the tables and taking used plates. We stayed for a week at all inclusive. For breakfast, you have omelettes, scrambled egg and pancakes on hotplates, including baked beans, porridge and toast, of course. For lunch and dinner, usually have fish and meat cooked on hotplates. Also you have more options hot options including, Chips, pizza fish & meat dishes. The room cards often don’t work and you have to visit the reception to get it fixed, annoying if your block is far from away from the reception.
