Writing this whilst waiting for my transfer to the airport. Last minute we’d been changed to this hotel due to under occupancy of our original one. Didn’t have time to look for an alternative hotel myself so was a little nervous accepting this one. How wrong I was to think this. The HM Ayron Park was fantastic, the hotel is ultra modern with a chilled out factor but also gym & bike hire facilities. Lots of pools & seating areas around the hotel. The rooms have comfy beds, great showers, a safe, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities & a large balcony. Also we were lucky to have had a side sea view. Literally the beach on your doorstep. Food was freshly cooked & good quality, drinks excellent, saw entertainment once which was bad but good bad & fun. The hotel is kept pristine both inside & out. A credit to staff & how hard they work. They were all very welcoming & appeared very happy & definitely make this hotel. The singing chef was my fave. Very uplifting in the mornings. Would highly recommend this hotel. Thanks HMAyron for a great stay x

“a great hotel”

we have stayed at this hotel for some years. it is true 5 star hotel in every respect. the food and friendliness of their staff is amazing. my wife arrived feeling ill which lasted for a few days. the staff, together with the Jet2 rep could not have been more helpful which certainly added to her recovery allowing us to enjotyhe rest of our stay.

Stayed here for a week with my wife. First time without the kids and a change from the normal three star all inclusive family holiday. This is not a typical resort hotel. We were half board. Listed as a five star hotel however, I’d say it’s more a good four star hotel The hotel is modern and very clean. Our room was lovely. The bed was very comfortable. Decent sized bathroom with a walk in shower. There was a mini fridge which had a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks in it however, we used this to store our own drinks. There is a safe which is free to use. Flat screen tv on the wall however, the channels were all German. You could get radio stations on it though. We had a balcony overlooking the pool area at the back of the hotel which had a couple of chairs and a small table on. Dressing gowns and slippers are provided as well. Food was very good. Breakfast was the usual hot and cold items. Lots of bread, meats and cheeses as well as plenty to make a full English breakfast as well. Fruits and sweet pastries were also available. Fresh omelettes were cooked to order. You could even have a glass of fizz if you wanted to as there was Prosecco/Cava if you wanted it! There was a theme for the evening meals which changed every night. One night was Spanish, another was Japanese and another was Mexican. Fresh meat was again cooked to order. This usually included steak, chicken and pork as well as three different types of fresh fish. There was also plenty to choose from the hot and cold buffet. We never got bored of the choice of food although the desserts rarely changed. We ate from the food truck on our last day which you pay for. We had a chicken burger and a double cheese burger. Both were nice however the chicken burger was a cheap processed burger rather than a nice breaded fillet. The main pool is nice. Surrounded by day beds and sun loungers. The other pools including the two on the roof terrace are small. You’d struggle to swim in them and are more for cooling off in if it’s too hot. I think it’s a stretch calling them pools as it gives the impression they are swimming pools which the smaller ones definitely aren’t. The pools also aren’t heated so at this time of year they were very cold. The staff are very nice and are a credit to the hotel. The only gripe I have is that there were times when our room was very warm. Some nights it was 27 degrees. I asked about air con at reception and was told that they weren’t allowed to put it on until the 1st of May. There were a few nights when we had to sleep with the balcony door wide open which meant you could hear people outside as well as traffic etc which resulted in broken sleep. Disappointing really as the jet2 website says the rooms are air conditioned and I think it should be up to the guest to decided if they want it on or not and not the hotel. You go away to relax and having broken sleep isn’t relaxing. My wife also used the gym on a few occasions but couldn’t use it to its full potential as again, when she used it there was no air con and it was far too warm. One other thing I feel the need to mention is the hotel is listed as adults only however, although it didn’t really bother me there was a few times I saw children in the hotel including in the restaurant and on the roof terrace. You’d be annoyed if you were intent on it being exclusively adult only but there were children there at times. Despite the gripes I would stay here again.

We stayed here for a few days and could not fault the hotel. The welcome and service were 5*. The rooms were immaculately clean and the view over the pool was lovely. We went half board and ate at the hotel every night. There was plenty of choice and the food was fantastic. Whilst the hotel states it’s 5*, we wouldn’t class it as a 5* and Jet 2 have dropped their rating to a 4* which is a more fair rating. Overall we were very impressed with the hotel and the beds were exceptionally comfy. The reason we wouldn’t return to this are is that (as previous reviews have stated) it’s much more aimed at youngsters who want to go clubbing and enjoy the nightlife. Whilst only in early season you can see this will only get worse and worse as it gets busier. Maybe 25 years ago this would have been just what we were looking for but we’re a bit longer in the tooth now and want something a little different and a bit more refined.
