This hotel is amazing. Modern and clean.. Check in was friendly and efficient with a welcome drink of fizz- nice touch. Our room was on 7th floor with a view of the main pool. It was spotlessly clean. Minimalist in decor. No wardrobe but an adequate hanging rail. Bedside alcoves instead of tables which worked perfectly. Kettle and nespresso machine but no milk- deliberate but not sure why. We were given a paper cup of milk on asking which we put in the minibar fridge but it was a spill hazard. The nespresso capsules were coloured but that meant nothing to us- all were nice though. 2 complimentary glass bottles of water which got replaced on night 2. The bathroom was large with a lovely shower- rainshower plus hand held. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided. Hairdryer present Towels changed every day even though we left them hanging which was supposed to mean we kept them. There was a minibar fridge- every item €4. There was enough room to put in the milk and some bottles of water we bought We had a small balcony overlooking the pool- got the sun in the morning so could have seen the sunrise if we had been awake. We heard no outdoor noise from the very busy/loud strip one block away or from neighbouring rooms. The doors are very heavy and there was the occasional bang if other guests left them to shut on their own. We were woken on our last day by the noise of scraping furniture which I can only guess was the cleaners cleaning the bar/pool area above- disappointing as the beds were so comfy and the curtains effectively kept the room dark so sleep was quality. The AC was the quietest I have ever come across and kept our room cool. Breakfast buffet is lovely. Show cooking of omelette cooked to order but do much choice and everything looked fresh. Slightly odd that milk (about 8 varieties) was the furthest point from the hot drinks but was down by the cereals. The butter was also far away from the huge choice of gorgeous breads/croissants etc. That said, breakfast was a peaceful experience and no-one would ho hungry. We didnt ho half board but ate our evening meal in the hotel twice as struggled to find anything decent (for our taste) outside the hotel. It was €28pp for a buffet, drinks extra. Each day was themed but again, quality good and plenty of choice. 3 types of fish and 3 types of meat could to order in ftont of you each night. Pasta with various sauces created individually, and pizza always available plus many other fish and meat dishes, paella, vegetables, potatoes. Huge variety of desserts including ice cream. The chef would advise on gluten free dishes if someone was coeliac (foods could perhaps have been labelled as such). There are 6 pools- 1 main one, 3 roof tops infinity, one alternative on the ground floor and an indoor one in the spa. Plenty of sun loungers, many double ones and some like baldness beds with the sunshade over. There is a no reservation policy which was sort of adhered to but there were no shortage of beds whatever time you came down. The main pool has gentle entrance steps at both ends and there was a disabled transfer chair. The no music policy meant it was quiet/peaceful depending on other guests. Unfortunately on our penultinate day the ambience was ruined by a group of 50 yr old British men and women who thought it was appropriate to talk so loudly that the whole area coukd hear them . Their sentences invariably contained expketives and their talk was boasting of how much they had been drinking. 2 of the men even walked into the pool fully dressed When the men were on their own they were discussing women from the night before in very derogative terms. The lifeguard did tell them to take their shirts off but I did feel he could have asked them to lower their voices (even if he didn't understand them the volume was inappropriate). Pool towels are provided and changeable daily. By the main pool there was a bar and staff walked around taking orders. There were 2 shaded areas with chairs/tables to get food. Again a good choice of food. Portions were huge and 1 would readily serve 2 people. One of the shaded areas had a huge screen where sports were shown without sound (good) and old matches/races which seemed a bit odd and not many people sat there. One of the rooftop infinity pools also had its own bar. It looked out over the sea and you got good sunset pictures from the uninterrupted views. The bar up there was also lovely for relaxing drinks in the evening. One night there was a guitarist which was very atmospheric. All staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. All areas of the hotel were spotless. Now things which I felt would be better ( just nit picks really): No water fountains to top up bottles (it was 35-38ºC while we were there) No ice stations No milk in bedrooms. I would highly recommend the hotel for a quality relaxing break and being adult only helps with this. This is a hotel review but it would be wrong to not discuss the local area The hotel js <5min flat walk to the beach/strip. The beach is wonderful and long, sea clear, clean and warm. Plenty of sunbeds available. There is a wide promenade to walk along and lovely sunset views. It was great to see families still on the beach and in the sea at 22 00hrs. The downside is that the strip is a constant row of restaurants with outdoor tables all merging in to each other. We struggled to find a restaurant with a welcoming,air conditioned relaxing ambience and quality food to celebrate our anniversary. For everyday meals you would not struggle but quality would be very much an individual thing. The age vibe was definitely aimed at a drinking, 20ish clientele so not for us as a mature couple.
