We had 9 glorious nights at this hotel. We were in a newly refurbished room (111) amazing location room and everything good quality. Loved the grounds, it was really rustic but very well maintained. The breakfast was very good, I did make a few suggestions to the hotel on breakfast which I hope they take on board like just having seasonal fruit not long life etc also the fruit juice not good except the oranges you squeeze yourself. Service and staff brilliant, room very clean, felt safe for the children to explore the grounds too. Maria on reception a lovely welcome and very informative. Pool snack bar staff also brilliant! Free parking, brilliant location and fair price. Can’t think of anything bad to say. Good mix of families and couples etc. Met some lovely people there. We have already booked for next year.

“Great Puerto de Soller Hotel”

Excellent hotel in centre of puerto de soller. Set in beautiful gardens with a lovely outdoor pool and restaurant. Rooms are very nice and well kept. Two restaurants offering fine dining as well as competitive every day eating. Service was excellent. Lovely outdoor bar.

Es Port Hotel in Port de Sóller offers a fantastic overall stay. ​The Highlights ​Atmosphere & Grounds: Beautiful historic charm surrounded by lush olive groves and stunning Tramuntana mountain views. ​Service & Staff: Exceptionally welcoming, attentive, and helpful throughout the property. ​Amenities: Great pool area, excellent spa facilities, and delicious food offerings. ​Location: Ideally situated just a short, easy walk from the port, beach, and local restaurants. ​The One Downside ​Sun Lounger Rules: Despite the hotel having clear rules against reserving sunbeds with towels, the policy isn't enforced. Guests regularly save prime spots early in the morning and leave them unattended for hours, making it frustrating to find a lounger later in the day. ​Summary: Es Port Hotel is a great independent family owned hotel and is a retreat that gets almost everything else right.

Without a doubt, this is one of the nicest four-star hotels we have ever stayed at. The outdoor areas, the exterior, the interior—everything about the property itself was beautifully maintained. We were a family of six (three adults and three children) staying for six nights in two rooms located at the end of what the hotel described as the newer wing. This was noticeable, as the rooms showed very little wear and everything was in excellent condition. The air conditioning was comfortable, the beds were great, and the bathroom, shower, floors, and terrace were all well maintained. Most importantly, everything was spotlessly clean—and we are very particular about cleanliness. The atmosphere was peaceful, especially in the mornings, with birds singing and the occasional sound of goats in the distance. There was no noise in the evenings or during the night, which we really appreciated. Thankfully, this is not the type of hotel that attracts loud parties. The view from our room overlooked the green area and the outdoor spa. While it wasn’t spectacular, it was pleasant and contributed to a very relaxing atmosphere. The hotel’s guests were a good mix of all ages. We were pleasantly surprised to see many families in a similar situation to ours, with well-behaved children enjoying the pool. There was very little noise overall. For those seeking complete peace and quiet, the hotel also has a dedicated adults-only spa area, which is an excellent option. Negative remarks: 1. Our stay did not get off to the best start. We arrived in the early afternoon feeling a little hungry, while the children were eager to go swimming. After dropping off our luggage in the rooms, we headed straight to the pool. Unfortunately, the pool restaurant had just closed. We were told that the restaurant near the reception would open after a certain time. However, the opening time we were given turned out to be incorrect. Fortunately, we only had to wait about 30 minutes, so it was not a major issue. When the restaurant finally opened, we were informed that a reservation was required and that we needed to arrange this at reception. That was fine. After that, however, things became rather confusing. We placed an à la carte order with one waitress, and after ordering drinks, another waitress approached us and asked why we had not gone to the buffet instead, explaining that it was apparently included as part of the dining arrangement. The conflicting information from both the pool staff and the restaurant staff was frustrating, and I expressed my disappointment about the lack of clear communication. Shortly afterwards, what I understood to be the restaurant manager came over to apologise for the misunderstanding. He handled the situation professionally, took care of us for the rest of the evening, and ensured everything went smoothly from that point onwards. We appreciated his efforts. 2. Apart from this, most of the restaurant staff were hardworking and conscientious. However, on a few occasions we noticed that some members of staff appeared less welcoming through their body language and facial expressions. Non-verbal communication makes a significant difference in hospitality. I once heard a restaurant manager say, “I don’t care if you’ve had a bad day or your mother died yesterday—when you’re at work, you smile at your guests.” While the wording may be harsh, the underlying principle is important: guests should always feel welcome. Fortunately, this only applied to a small number of employees. 3. Because we booked our rooms through a third-party provider, the hotel had incorrectly registered our reservation for five guests instead of six. Although I had informed the hotel well in advance by email that we were six people, this information had apparently not been updated in their system. As a result, the hotel insisted that one of our two identical rooms should pay an additional charge for an extra bed, while the other room—with the same capacity for three guests—was not charged. This inconsistency was difficult to understand and could easily have been avoided with better internal communication. 4. As several other guests have pointed out in the comments below, although the hotel has clear rules against reserving sunbeds with towels, these rules are not enforced. Guests regularly reserve prime spots early in the morning, often leaving them unattended for hours while they have breakfast, making it frustrating to find a sunbed later in the day. Overall, we consider this to be a very good four-star hotel—no more and no less. The hotel deserves credit for resolving issues when they arose, and the staff generally handled problems professionally. However, I was left feeling that I had to point out and challenge situations that should never have occurred in the first place. Better communication and organisation would have prevented these unnecessary frustrations. Finally, the hotel’s location is excellent, with easy walking access to both the beach and several restaurants. Despite the issues we experienced, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning.
