Overall a great spot for families, plenty of pools and entertainment. We especially loved the bouncy castles, although glad they were only open for part of the day. As my little one would have wanted to spend all her time there! The rooms are small and our bathroom didn’t have an extractor fan, so it felt quite stuffy. I imagine that gets a lot worse when the temperature goes up! The beach is stunning, if I went again I would probably upgrade to a room with a sea view as our view of the shop didn’t really provide that holiday feel. I also think a little table on the balcony would be a nice touch to make it more inviting. Unlike some of the other reviews we had a very swift check in, just would have been grateful if it was a bit more informative. Food was ok, the usual budget all inclusive spread. Very handy having the burger and pizza bar throughout the day. The local area only has a few restaurants and shops dotted around. There’s no strip to be found, so if you’re looking for that sort of place then I wouldn’t recommend this spot. The best local bar we found was a 10 minute walk. The classic Irish bar O Malleys they were very welcoming and great beer there. We got the bus into town a couple of times which is only €3 each way, bus stop pretty much outside the hotel. A nice enough day out if you fancy a change. (If you’re a smoke go stocked up as you will probably have to get the bus into town to get some, we couldn’t get any in the local area). Also we used taxis both ways to the airport, which seems to be cheaper than transfers and easy to come by both ends roughly €35 and about half hour.

We went as a family of four with a 2 year old and a 5 year old which it was perfect for. We had a small room with bunk beds, I was a little worried the first night as the bottom bunk didn’t have a rail guard and the floor was quite hard so I felt my two year old could hurt himself. This was addressed when we asked if they had any more rail guards and reception happily provided one that night. The park they have on site was amazing and had something for any aged child we spent hours there, and on the bouncy castles. There are many swimming pools, my 5 year old loved the bigger ones but the small toddler pool was perfect and safe it is also in a gated area so extra safe, the only problem was that the pools were very cold but that could be because we went in early may when temperatures don’t go that high in the day I think the highest temp was 24”c. The reason I have dropped a point is for food. every day the buffet was similar and especially the children’s options were limited. I think my sons survived the week on chips and chicken nuggets. Minorca is a small stunning island but apart from a small zoo there wasn’t much there to do especially for young children but this hotel definitely had enough activities and amazing facilities to keep my sons happy and give us an amazing holiday.

We booked a last minute 3 night stay for the bank holiday weekend that we couldn't turn down for the price. Travelled as a baby, toddler and 2 adults. Room was in block B which was small, dated and generally disappointing. It was ok as we were only there 3 nights but wouldn't have liked to have stayed in it much longer. However, would absolutely come again if we could get a bigger room with a divider or separate bedroom for the kids. The facilities for the kids with the playground, inflatable park, splash park and gaming area were just amazing! They even had a mini toilet for toddlers with a toddler seat in the aguamarina kid's area. The beach was just beautiful, as was the view from the hotel. It was just steep and difficult with the prams. It would be nice if there were other food options available during the day other than fast food. Food in the main restaurant was lovely though with plenty of choice.

The location is excellent with beautiful views of one of the best beaches I've seen. Crystal clear shallow water , perfect for children. The hotel its self has lots going on and is very family oriented. Lots of entertainment throughout the day and evening. However if you do want to escape this there is a lovely adults only area with jacuzzi and stunning views. The rooms were very clean with daily fresh towels and cleaning. Some of the rooms are small but this was not a problem for a couple. I believe the larger rooms are on block A. However this should not be a problem with all the activities and great location on offer. The snack bar foods are made to order , usual AI foods such as burgers & chicken nuggets. Fish is extra but only €3. There's a little van on the way to the beach with AI smoothies I thought that this was a nice touch. There is also a pizza bar at the back of block A. The soft drinks are all self service as are the tea & coffee. The food in the restaurant has lots of variety however the sides are mostly chips. There's a chef on cooking fresh foods , omelette & pancakes at breakfast & meats and fish at lunch & dinner. There's a kids corner of nuggets and such too. Arenal its self is a very quiet and relaxing location, a few lovely restaurants & bars with stunning views. If you're expecting lots of bars & a strip this isn't for you, but if you're looking for a relaxing holiday with the option to explore this is a perfect location. There's a nice walking route to son parc via a rugged coastal walk with beautiful views but don't expect much from son parc it's self other than a stunning beach through a hotels grounds. There's a fabulous bus service so you can explore if you want to. All in all a beautiful stay don't believe the negative reviews, I'll definitely be back with my grandchildren
