Great holiday as family of 7 aged 1-70. Yes there's queues for dinner at busy times but it is what it is. The buffet isn't massive but you'll find something in either the hot or cold area unless you're incredibly fussy then that's really a you problem. Highlights: - Mimosa station at breakfast - Pancake station at breakfast which kids loved - Chocolate fountain on the Sundays we were there -Asian night with sushi. There was indian food one night but we were out. - All staff worked hard and we so friendly especially to our children. Your lucky i don't work there because I'd be miserable watching people on holiday while I work my arse off -Sensory room if you have a baby with child or sen needs. Perfect for a break from the sun. - The hotel is inclusive to all (gender, sexuality etc)and accessible to everyone which i loved to see. - The ice cream freezers never locked! -White party and pool party - Entertainment staff starting the day with Proud Mary. - Aqua dance or whatever it was called! Great! - Kids disco! Yes there could be improvements but nothing that made us not enjoy ourselves. I heard not complaining from people I spoke with. The sun was out, the pool was warm and we were all well looked after. What more do you need. Thanks!

“A great first time abroad for many years”

Just back from a week at Marsenses paradise our first holiday for our son age 9 and daughter 18 ( for her it was sunbathing and relaxing ) and from reading the reviews I was a bit dubious but … we arrived after midnight it was so peaceful and our room was 260 near to the kids pool. 1 bed apartment. Very clean - aircon worked perfect! I found it chilly in the night some nights but that’s just me. Bathroom with shower seperate bath and shower. Very modern . Lovely balcony. It was a very hot week. The queue for the restaurant was not bad at all it went down quick as you have to give your room number and then they find you a table. Food was standard all inclusive. Good variety of meats and lots of different fish. Salads / pasta and loads of desserts to choose from. The breakfast was my fav ! Good English breaky - Loads of pastries and breads. Pancakes for the kids with Nutella / cream / sprinkles Lots of drink selection- juices / milkshakes for kids 7:45 -9:30am breakfast 1pm -3pm lunch 12-6 snack bar - usual chips. Toastie hotdogs / nuggets - burgers- fruit and pastries. Rotated daily with either toasties and nuggets - hotdogs or burger onion rings hotdogs. Freezer with help yourself ice creams ice lollies/ cornettos. 7:30pm-9:30pm dinner The hotel itself is very clean and modern. Sunbeds- there were no queues . The cleaners finish by 8 am then you can put your towels on beds. By 930-10am majority were taken so I’d opt to go to the area of the main pool for 745 grab a cuppa and wait until they put the chains away. Sometimes they were done by 7:50z Boss lady would tell you off if she is there. The kids pool were prob all taken by 8:30 so I’d get up there for same time. I walked past around 7:30 and no one was waiting but If you’re travelling with young ones you need to be quick and no later than 745. The slide pool was fun. Watch for the little gekos at night on the walls. Staff worked very hard. Cleaners and cooks. As soon as you have finished eating the staff wizz your plate away. Not a bad thing. They worked very hard to keep the restaurant clear and clean. For the men - The beer is Estrella Loads of choice for kids drinks Few cocktails - sex on the beach was the best for us. Water machines all over to even fill your Stanley up. It did become less cold by the afternoon so I’d ask for a cup of ice before getting water. Entertainment- they worked very hard and around the pool for aerobics and kiddies. Water polo - volleyball for the men and women. They really get involved with the kiddies - water fights- getting in the pool songs and dancing. They had a movie afternoon in the sensory room for the kids. Lazer tag - face painting. T shirt painting. Night time. Kiddie disco until 9pm then adult 930pm. Once it is finished the lights come on and you can either stay for another drink or 2 or go back to the apartment for bed! We had a white party one night which was good. However if you wasn’t in the tennis court for that there was no other entertainment in the bar or any music which they could possibly have on for those without children or who didn’t want to go to the white party and just wanted to have a drink ect. The music quiz was the best and the movie quiz you have to log in on your phone. They were fun. Sunday was family day - as entertainment staff have the day off so time to chill and dip in the pool. Music is played from the bar. There was a few Spanish wasps here and there flying about near drinks just shoo them away. A few little birds waiting for some nibbles also. Do not leave food on the plates, if eating on the beds as they will be flying away with some leftovers. There are bins for you to put plates and cups in which is good. Some folk did Like to leave a few cups about- just clean up after yourselves. There is a reuse point near the pool to that came In handy to save some euros not having to buy inflatables and other bits and bobs. The hotel is across the road from the marina lots of restaurants and couple of bars. Few supermarkets- pharmacy - ice cream/waffle shop opposite the hotel. Walking distance to the beach through the marina where you will see little fishes swimming. It was very cool inside the hotel. We checked out at 12 and they gave us a meal voucher for lunch. There is a baggage room for your cases so you can stay by the pool until it was time to get ready to leave- they have 2 courtesy rooms to shower this was very handy, as we did not get picked up until 7pm. If you were going straight to the airport, it is an hour ish transfer. Ours was a bit longer arriving, due to a few drop offs before us. Reception staff are very helpful and welcoming. Take some insect repellent for night time they are not swarming with mozies but the sneaky buggers may get you once or twice. It was very peaceful at night so easy to just fall asleep. If you have never been to menorca it is not a party area more to just relax. If you wanted to venture out- There is a water park 5 mins up the road €27.50 adults €17 kids 10:30am - 6pm there are only 4 slides. Big pool kiddie pool and slide and a wave pool. Reserve sunbeds for €3.50. There is no negatives about This hotel. If you wanted a quiet and relaxing time and a bit of fun for the kids this hotel is the one. Age range for kiddies id say was up to 10yrs for the entertainment ect.

“Good hotel, except for pool tiles!”

We travelled jet2, but with private transfer 50mins from airport. Good reception staff, quick checkin, left to find your room with a map. We had a superior suite, good size, decor, decent bedroom, nice shower, loo cubicle, seperate sofa bed in kitchen area and doors out to table, chairs, and 2 sunbeds with umberella. A really nice set up. Initially we spent time up around the kids pool, but sadly i got a piece of ceramic tile (from the pool) embedded in my foot. The jet 2 rep, Ampero, and the manager Oscar were very very helpful, i saw a medic, got antiobiotics, had followup..BUT it should not of happened...the state of the tiling at all 3 pools is terrible in parts. The resturant, food options were if s good standard. The entertainment staff, around the main pool were fun, and work hard to make sure everyone has a goodtime. The mini disco was ok, for our 3yr old...not great. We didnt bother with any later entertainment. If the pools get made save, we may consider a return to this hotel.

We came as a group of 4 couples with 6 children aged between 1 and 10, and I’ve thought long and hard about how to write this review because, ultimately, it comes down to the amount of money we paid and the fact that this is advertised as a 4-star hotel. To start with the positives, the children absolutely loved the holiday. The hotel is clearly geared towards younger children, particularly those aged around 1–7. The unlimited ice creams and ice lollies were a huge hit, as were the slides, and the kids genuinely had a fantastic time together. The daytime entertainment was also good, with plenty going on for the younger children. The pool areas, however, are a completely different story. At first glance they look great, but once you get closer, the condition becomes very obvious. There is significant black mould around the waterline of the pools, and we also noticed sharp tiles coming away from the pool areas, which is particularly concerning in a hotel catering for young children. In my opinion, the pool areas are in desperate need of refurbishment rather than just a bit of maintenance. We spent most of our time around the children’s pools and, to be fair, we never struggled to get a sunbed in the morning. There was no ridiculous 7am stampede, which was actually refreshing. I’d also say this was probably the cleanest and quietest part of the hotel. Unfortunately, though, that says more about the rest of the hotel than it does about the children’s area. Food and mealtimes This was probably the biggest disappointment of the holiday. The buffet restaurant was, in our opinion, very poor. There was limited choice and the quality of the food was nowhere near what we would expect from a 4-star hotel. Even being generous, I would describe it as 3-star food. There were also queues outside the restaurant in the heat, which made mealtimes even more frustrating. We genuinely couldn’t understand why the queues were necessary. The food became such an issue that, on one occasion, my partner ended up having to try to make herself a cheese sandwich at lunchtime because there was so little she wanted to eat. We eventually decided to eat out on the marina every evening, which turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. There are some genuinely lovely restaurants around the marina, and it was a welcome change to have good-quality food in a nicer setting. Entertainment We tried the kids’ disco, which was okay, and the daytime children’s entertainment was good. There seemed to be enough organised activities for younger children, although our kids were more than happy spending most of their time on the slides. I would say that if you have older children, you might want to think carefully about this hotel, as there didn’t appear to be a huge amount for them to do compared with what you would expect from a higher-end family resort. The staff The staff were easily one of the best things about the hotel. They were consistently friendly, helpful and seemed to make a genuine effort with guests. We asked for our room to be cleaned every day and this was done without any issues. We also asked for a fan because the air conditioning in our room wasn’t particularly good, and one was brought to us the same day. I honestly feel sorry for the staff because the condition of the hotel isn’t their fault. They are clearly doing their best, and we couldn’t fault them during our stay. I’m genuinely baffled when I see people criticising the staff because, from our experience, they were excellent. Overall I’m very aware that this review sounds overwhelmingly negative, but I think it’s important to judge a hotel based on what it is actually advertised as. If this was a basic 3-star hotel at a much lower price, perhaps my expectations would have been different. But this is sold as a 4-star hotel, and it certainly wasn’t the standard we expected for the price we paid. One family in our group paid nearly £5,000 for four people for just 7 nights. When you’re spending that sort of money, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect well-maintained pools, decent food and rooms that don’t feel dated. Instead, we had mould around the pools, damaged tiles, poor food and dated accommodation. All 8 adults in our group discussed the holiday before I wrote this review, and we are completely in agreement: we feel we massively overpaid for what was, in our opinion, a below-standard 3-star hotel. The children, on the other hand, had an absolute ball — and that is the one thing that makes this review difficult to write. They loved the slides, ice creams and entertainment, and they have come away with great memories. For us as adults, though, the value simply wasn’t there. We stayed at the Atlantica Beach Resort in Kos last year for around £600 less and didn’t have a single complaint. The hotel was beautiful, the food was good and the overall standard was considerably higher. Ultimately, I think you’re paying a premium here for the convenience of a short flight to Menorca and the location. But based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend spending this kind of money on this hotel when there are much better options available for less. The kids may have had a fantastic holiday, but as paying adults, we came away feeling that the hotel simply wasn’t anywhere near the standard its 4-star rating and price suggest.
