This was our 2nd stay at Floramar as a family. Great as always! Location: About a 10 minute leisurely stroll to the beach. If you’re not very mobile the hill back up to the hotel could be a challenge. Fantastic view of Cala Galdana beach/Bay Area from the rear of the hotel. Atmosphere: Lovely, friendly, family orientated hotel. Rooms: Have everything you would need. Very clean, bright and spacious. We had a room with a sea view which was lovely. Noise level: Generally a very calm and quiet hotel. There is evening entertainment 3-4 times a week which tends to finish around 10pm. Wasn’t a problem for us, however for rooms that are situated near to where the entertainment takes place, there might be small issues with getting young children to sleep. Pool: Two swimming pools. We made use of both as our kids are of different ages/skill levels. Both pools are lovely. Plenty of sun loungers. Gym: Small but adequate (who wants to spend loads of time in the gym while you’re on holiday anyway?!) Service: Hotel staff are absolutely fantastic. Reception staff, are kind and helpful. We had an electrical issue on our first night/morning which was dealt with promptly and professionally. Cleaning staff do a brilliant job of keeping all areas of the hotel and rooms spotlessly clean. Restaurant and Bar staff are so lovely. They were so friendly and great with our two children. Cammillo, Andrea, Valentina were stand out. Food: Breakfast has a vast choice to pick from. Fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts, toast, meat and cheese, cooked options of sausages, bacon, potato, mushrooms, peppers, beans, eggs, pancakes, churros, pastries, biscuits. Varying drinks from juices, several types of teas, various types of coffee. Evening food: Buffet style with varying choices each night. There are lots of meat and vegetarian options available. If you’ve got fussy kids then they always have pizza, chips and something else to choose from. Desserts were good as well.

“Great hotel, beautiful location, relaxed atmosphere”

We had a brilliant holiday and would happily stay here again. We stayed on a self-catering basis, our sea view apartment was modern, spacious, and had a very well equipped kitchen. Bedroom with good comfy bed and children in the lounge area, one proper pull out bed, younger one on the sofa. Daily cleaning good, and towels changed daily on request. Very minor, but room could have done with a little more clothes storage and a shelf in the bathroom would have been helpful but these are very minor suggestions, we coped fine. Without doubt, the best thing about this hotel is the staff. Every member of the team was so friendly, welcoming, hard working and helpful throughout our stay. Being able to charge drinks and food to the room was also really convenient. We had breakfast at the hotel once and were impressed with the good selection on offer. Lunch was good too. Great cocktails. Good supermarket next door to the hotel, small bakery area. Good gym, games area to keep teenagers entertained. The pool area was lovely and had a really relaxed atmosphere. Pool towels are provided on request with a €1 charge each time you exchange them. One thing we really appreciated was that the pool area doesn't open until 10am, and most guests didn't reserve sunbeds before around 9:30am. It made for a much more relaxed morning with none of the usual dash for loungers. There were plenty of sunbeds available, although a few more parasols would have been welcome. There is plenty of natural shade under the trees during the morning until around 1pm. The views from the pool area and balcony with sea views across Cala Galdana Bay are absolutely beautiful. The hotel is built over four levels with quite a few steps and is set on a hill. We didn't find this a problem, but it could be challenging for anyone with mobility issues. Cala Galdana itself is a beautiful bay, and it's only a short walk from the hotel. Two sun loungers and an umbrella on the beach cost €25. There are around 15ish restaurants in the resort, many with similar menus, lots of seafood and small plates dishes, pasta and pizza. Our favourites were Delit and Sa Lluna, both near to the hotel. We also loved Alaska for tapas, it's small but definitely worth booking in advance. S'Escopinya served excellent curries, along with a great selection of burgers, salads, and other dishes. Most restaurants and supermarkets seemed to close around 10pm. It’s a relaxed, laid back resort. There was hotel entertainment on around 3 days throughout the week, again finishing around 10pm. We also took a trip to Ciutadella, which is well worth visiting. It's a beautiful city with lovely shops, bars, and restaurants. The bus service from Cala galdana was great. If you enjoy walking, the coastal path to Macarelleta Beach takes around 40 minutes. It's quite rocky with lots of steps down to the beach, but the views are great, and the sea was great for snorkelling as lots of rocky areas. Overall, this was a wonderful holiday in a beautiful location. The combination of excellent hotel accommodation, outstanding hotel staff, a relaxed atmosphere, and stunning scenery made it a holiday we were sad to say goodbye to.

This was our second stay at Floramar and it still exceeded our expectations. When we arrived we were offered a welcome drink which was greatly received after a very early start. We arrived before check in time but our suitcases were securely locked away and we were shown to a room by reception that we could get changed and went straight to the pool until our room was ready. We had a sea view room which also looks over the pool and is definitely worth it. Lovely views to the bay and across the hills opposite. Room was spotless and modern. The bathroom has a full size hairdryer which is very handy. We didn’t use the kitchen for cooking but it was well stocked with pots and pans and crockery. I think the thing that made our stay so special is the staff at the hotel. Everyone is so friendly and makes you feel so welcome. A special shout out to Camilo and Andrea at the restaurant who were so welcoming and made my two sons feel so special. We stayed half board and the food was plentiful with lots of choice at the buffet. Kids options included pizza and chicken nuggets. Other meals included paella, stews, pastas, fresh fish, salads, chips etc. The breakfasts were equally great with fruit, cereals, pastries, cooked foods, pancakes and churros. The entertainment was a nice mix of singers and on one of the nights they had a child entertainer. The music seemed to finish about 10pm. My husband used the gym a few times and I also took my younger son to the indoor play room. I would say this room is suitable for up to 3 year olds. Opposite the gym is a large box of things you can borrow like parasols (a god send on the beach!) buckets, spades, balls etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to return again in the future.

Really lovely hotel and all staff I encountered from reception to waiting staff were so friendly and helpful. Plenty of sunbeds although could do with a few more parasols. We had a superior sea view room which was modern and bright and only thing I would say it needed is some drawer storage in bedroom and some shelf storage in bathroom as there is none. But didn’t detract from our holiday and would go back in a heartbeat. I was worried about being at the top of a hill as had heard people calling it ‘cardiac hill’ and I have dodgy knees, but it was fine not too bad at all. Cala Galdana itself as a first time visitor is just so pretty. The bay and the beach which are a 6 or 7 minute walk from the hotel (quicker if you use the steps at back of hotel) are just so pretty. Sea was warm and clear. We ate at the hotel a couple of nights and food was nice and service great, but it’s a buffet so more choice if you go to the many lovely restaurants nearby. Sa lluna and Delit both almost next door to hotel on either side of the road had lovely food and as with the hotel, the staff were all so friendly. Would highly recommend the hotel and the resort.
