“I would recommend it primarily to those with small children.”

The hotel's location is excellent. The room was small, but comfortable. The food was varied. The gym was small, but very well-equipped. The only “problem” was the large number of shouting children; they shout at breakfast, lunch, and dinner alike.

We booked an all inclusive, staying in adjoining 2 bed rooms as a family of 4 with 2 small children. We had asked for adjoining rooms which the hotel granted. We also asked for a quiet room. Food was ok, though not great selection for children at times. We did see 2 large cockroaches in the main restaurant area which put me off. Restaurant didn't tend to get overly busy which was a positive. It was all self serve so no queueing needed. I liked the food overall. The main kids pool was towards the bottom of the resort, called the 'Kids Club.' Pool here was great, though had a small amount of sun beds and the nearby café wasn't included in the all inclusive. We spend most of the time at the hotel here as it best suited the kids and wasnt as busy as the main hotel area. Not a great amount of space around the main pool/ hotel areas, with a distinct lack of sunbeds. We noticed many guests were getting down to the pool area from 6am to reserve beds. It was then quite difficult to get a sunbed on any day unless going down super early. For the number of guests in July, there just didn't seem to be the space. Kids entertainment was ok, starting at 8.45pm. It was around 35 degrees every day, though there was air con in the bedrooms we noticed a distinct lack of air con in the restaurant and generally around the hotel. It made meal times uncomfortable at times. We asked for a quiet room as have some developmental needs. The evening entertainment finished near to midnight on certain nights, with a singer or Bingo event being stationed outside of the main bed rooms at the complex. This may not be a problem for all travellers although it was for us. Punta Prima is nice, would recommend taking the little train which stops outside of the hotel. Its about an hour round trip on the tourist ride. The beach is only a few minutes walk and is really nice, though does get busy. You can pay for 2 x sunbeds there for 15 euros for the day. Reception staff were very helpful. I found some of the bar staff not as helpful. The rooms did need updating and there was a smell. Some positives, though I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

We got back yesterday from this hotel after reading the reviews prior i was concerned. We arrived around 1pm and luckily our room was ready as we were travelling with a 7 week old baby. The room was on the ground floor in block 7 which was very handy for us with a pushchair. Room was clean enough just not a great view looking over the road at the back of the hotel with little sun on the balcony. I had requested a cot and kettle which were both in the room on arrival. Room smelt damp and we Small problem with ants in the bathroom. The hotel grounds are lovely well maintained and very clean The plastic cup for a drink didn’t bother us it does keep the place tidy We was half board plus We didn’t spend too much on drinks for example a vodka slush was 8euro A standard slush 3euro Breakfast starts at 8 until 10.30 Dinner 7 until 9.30 These times could be extended as can be quite busy we found if you went earlier it was a bit quieter. The pools were clean and lovely and warm. Partner used the gym unfortunately we didn’t use the spa but it did look lovely. Reception wasn’t too bad they just don’t speak at lot of english We asked for an iron you don’t have this in your room you have to borrow from reception and return it. You are given pool/beach towels on arrival if you misplace these or want them changed its 1 euro also if you do lose your cup or drink card thats 1 euro to be replaced. The location is lovely down the bottom of the hill is the beach with a small selection of restaurants and shops we walked here most days. There was also a street market on sunday and Tuesday evening when we arrived offering crafts clothes crepes and hair braiders. There is a bus stop outside the hotel which we got on and went to mahon which was about a 20 min ride 1.75 euro ppew well worth the money its stunning there. Food Breakfast you have the usual hot selection eggs sausages hash browns etc and then the cakes with pancakes fruit bread meats etc juices and hot drinks available In the evening the food was not the same everyday there was a variety of options inside and then something different outside. The chicken paella was one of my favourite dishes We could not complain about the food at all there was always something to eat and tasty too. Overall we had a lovely pleasant stay

This was our second visit to this hotel after having a great time when it was a Barcelo hotel. It changed hands recently and noticed a few changes, similar to the comments below. We had a lovely holiday and there isn’t anything hugely bad about it compared to other hotels in the peak of summer. I would come back again with some changes. Sunbeds are an issue. But this is the case at a lot of hotels peak season. When we returned to the pool in the afternoon we always managed to find space. We did witness and hear of towels being removed from sun beds by other guests even whilst people were in the pool which caused issues. The previous heat the kids splash park was for the sole use of hotel guests and included the all inclusive offer, as the reviews below state this is no longer the case which is a shame. The food was ok, but we did struggle a bit after a few days similarly to others due to lack of variety. In previous years there has been a theme night but this isn’t the case any more. It would be great to see some allergy friendly alternatives too, but appreciate not all needs and tastes can be met. Our daughter has a milk allergy so desserts were a no go. She did eat a lot of jelly! Entertainment staff were very friendly and welcoming, and particularly the very hard working restaurant staff. Similarly to others below we did experience and witness some unfriendly and rude interactions by some bar staff. Like we are an inconvenience.. it appeared this wasn’t the case for all types of traveller, which was uncomfortable and not how I’d like to feel any day let alone on holiday. This wasn’t a cheap holiday. The hotel welcome was luke warm, again felt an inconvenience and wasn’t provided with much info and had about 4 people deal with is in the space of 5 minutes whilst they were all doing different things. The rooms were ok. Sound proofing no different to any other large hotel to be honest and the cleaning staff were friendly and always there. We had no issue with the cup and card for drinks process. You exchange your cup for another drink or a card again. It ensures the pool area is tidier for sure which is great. Not related to the hotel, we had unpleasant experiences at the fantastic beach. We decided to get there early to ensure we could secure and pay for sunbeds and an umbrella close to the water so we could safely monitor our daughter. We were told that all the sunbeds at the front were reserved. This was despite the fact that no sunbeds were actually put out yet. We were told we could have one at the back. Needless to say we didn’t bother and bought an umbrella from the shop which was fine. You can find them left by other people by the pool at the hotel too. We later saw that the beach sunbeds were only given to locals. I appreciate locals must get irritated at high season with holiday makers, but that made us feel really uncomfortable. And you want our money or you don’t. The bus to Mahon is right outside the front of the hotel which is great. Make sure you have cash. This hotel has loads of great qualities and fantastic location for the airport and beach, but perhaps consider getting out and about more for food and experiences.
