Let me start with the staff are the best thing about this hotel. Incredibly friendly. We only stayed for a long weekend and this was a perfect destination for a short break away. Unlike many other hotels, there is no problem getting sunbeds at any time of day. We walked to the beach every morning and returned in the afternoon to the hotel and could get a sunbed at any of the pools. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are basic and I was quite disappointed when we walked into our room. But again, we were only here for a couple of days. They are noisy during the evenings - you can hear everything from your neighbours. The pools were freezing cold. As mentioned by others, the photos do exaggerate them but my children did enjoy them. The food was your typical all inclusive. There is only one restaurant here (and food available from a bar but this didn’t appeal to us). We enjoyed the evening entertainment in the bar upstairs - lovely staff, live singer so we could sit and enjoy the evenings and play games with the kids. So overall a good place for a short getaway but i wouldn’t return for a longer period of time.

We had a lovely family holiday overall. The hotel itself is very family orientated. Food was incredibly varied, 10/10. Staff were great. We stayed in an annex room, which was nice and spacious for the 3 of us.Downside to the room was that we could hear every movement upstairs, kids running up and down, chairs scrapping etc. Our aircon was also broken and water ended up seaping through the ceiling. However the staff did fix it quickly. Rooms were pretty soundproof from the night time entertainment. Pools were clean, miniclub at the main pool was too loud for our baby to sleep in the day, so we spent most of our time at the other main pool which was a lot quiter although felt cooler. The cot bed was great for our little one, thick and comfortable mattress. We went 1 week after half term but the hotel was still busy with families, its a popular hotel. The location of the hotel was OK if you don't mind a 15 min walk to the beach.

We just got back from a week in Tenerife with our three kids. We did take two of them out of school for the holiday but i think that was a good move because last time in Tenerife about 5 years ago we went during the summer holidays and it was crazy busy everywhere, we had a game just finding loungers at the hotel. This time it was a lot less busy, plenty of loungers around the pool which was great. From reading the British papers we were expecting to be confronted by angry locals telling us to “go home tourist” but I can honestly say we travelled around the whole island and never once caught even a sniff of anything like this. Everyone was lovely and welcoming as ever. Last time (5 years ago) we stayed in Las Americas, this time, we chose Los Cristianos. We booked the Paradise Park Hotel primarily because our kids love to swim, usually on holiday they spend most of their time in the pool. This hotel boasted 5 pools and the photos made them look amazing. Within minutes of checking in and dropping off the bags, we headed down to the pool, we chose the circular one with the bridge first. I was surprised to see tons of people sat around the pool and walking about, but literally 2 people in total in the water. That was until we actually dipped a toe in ourselves and found that it was absolutely ice cold. We tried to brave the cold hoping that we’d get used to it, but had to get out after a few minutes because our three year old’s teeth were chattering. A few minutes later our two older boys also got out shivering. It was so cold that you just don’t get used to it, it’s uncomfortable the entire time, not refreshing. We tried the old tricks of getting out, standing out of the pool for a bit to get even colder, then getting back in so that it feels warmer, but it didn’t work. We don’t travel abroad in Europe very often so this is probably ‘the norm’ at most hotels (although I don’t remember this being the case when we stayed in Las Americas, but it was a while ago so maybe I’ve just forgotten) but I really wasn’t expecting the water to be so cold during a blazing hot week in May. Over the whole week we used the pool for probably one hour each in total, if that. It’s a shame because if it was even slightly heated just to take the edge off, the pools would have been packed. We saw loads of guests over the week give it a go, dip a foot in, walk in about knee deep, then turn around and sit back on the lounger. Every time someone actually gets in the water you can hear their audible gasps and screams at how cold it is, when they get out they’re visibly shivering. It seemed a waste to have all these lovely pools with hardly anyone in them. We used three of the five pools, but I think the others were off limits to kids so they were effectively off limits to us too. That was a bit of a disappointment, but as I said, we don’t travel in Europe often so it’s probably the same as most hotels in Tenerife. We did go to Siam water park for the day which does have slightly heated water, that was great. Other than the freezing cold pools, the rest of the hotel was pretty good. It seemed very clean and in good condition, all staff were really nice. We stayed in a duplex which was great with our two older boys staying on the top floor with their own balcony, and we stayed downstairs with our two year old, we also had our own balcony. Ours boys did complain of a bad sewage smell in their bathroom, they were opening the doors and windows to get rid of it, so whenever I did go up to have a look I could only smell a very slight unpleasant smell (which isn’t unusual even for their bathroom at home..), nothing worth complaining about. It was only on our second-to-last day that I went up there when the windows and balcony sliding doors were closed, and the sewage smell was actually pretty bad, it made me gag. I felt a bit bad for the boys because every time they had complained about it over the week, I said they were exaggerating. Sorry boys… The hotel entertainment was ok, but nothing that our boys were very interested in (probably because it wasn’t school holiday time so it was geared up to the more mature audience). If we hadn’t had young kids with us we would have had a much better hotel experience because we could have sat in the bar late into the night, but since we had a three year old and two kids (10 & 13) we had to take her back to the room at 9ish every night, not the end of the world but the music is blasting super loud until the early hours every night. That’s not really a complaint though because that’s what you want when you’re on holiday, if we weren’t with the kids we’d have been out there enjoying it… The hotel food was a bit hit and miss, but we were only half-board so we ate out every lunchtime. Generally it was ok, not too busy either. We rented a car from Hertz which was pretty easy, there’s a booking station right in the reception of the hotel, so they bring the car to the hotel, then when you’re finished you just drop they keys off in the box and they come and pick it up. We wanted to go to the Zoo which was 1.5 hours-ish from the hotel, so a car was necessary as a taxi would have probably cost as much as the car rental. It was good to explore the island a bit too in your own car. We had a pretty new VW Polo which was good because it had Apple CarPlay so we could use Google Maps on the screen and listen to Spotify etc in the car. The hotel is a 20 minute walk to the beach/bars of Los Cristianos, not a bad walk and plenty of bars and shops on the way too. We walked to Las Americas a few times. For reference, It was a 40 minute walk from the Hotel to the Hard Rock Cafe. Overall, the hotel was good, not quite as good as it looked in the promotional photos, and the freezing cold pool was disappointing for us, it was still a very nice week. There was a tiny bit of construction work going on inside while we were there but it wasn’t really a problem.

Hotel very basic, buffet breakfast lunch and dinner, food not great, ate out every night after the first night. restaurant more like a school canteen, plastic tables and chairs, The swimming pools were freezing, adult pools freezing but was nice having 2 adult areas, but had to pay for drinks and snacks on the roof terrace, location not ideal was a long walk to the beach, so really need to use the bus shuttle from hotel or a taxi, 5€ definitely not good if use walking stick, Hotel is on a hill. The bathroom was great nice hot water for shower.
