Just returned from a week’s stay at Granda Park. First point is - there is currently work going on in some of the apartments so you will hear noise from around 9am. There is no sunbed wars, can always get a sunbed no need to leave your towels on them from early on. We stayed with our two daughters age 9 & 15. They never got bored (there is two pools the smaller pool is warmer) There is a little cafe/snack bar the staff there were so nice & the food was really good value for money. We found the staff at reception really helpful at all times. There is also an onsite shop it’s a bit more expensive but it’s really handy for grabbing juice ice creams ect. The rooms are dated but clean & well equipped, if you go here and expect 5 star you will be disappointed as it’s very basic. We did not have air con only a ceiling fan & on hot nights (27/28degrees) we felt we needed it. We did not pay a lot for this holiday so we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. There is not alot round about in terms of restaurants or bars. Budget for taxis, we got ALOT of taxis down to los Cristianos they were around 6/8euro (we never once got charged the same price) you can walk which we did sometimes however in the heat it can be a bit much especially for kids. You can also walk along the front from los cristianos to las Americas. We found compared to home it was cheap to eat out & we did this everynight. They do have a menu for pizza at reception and they can call it for you and it’s delivered to your apartment we did this on the first night as it was late when we arrived and it was really nice. We did the monkey park which was a great cheap day out ( although the taxi there cost us 14 euro & the taxi home was 7 euro) unsure how they worked that out. If you are going to the supermarket there is one called Tu trebol at the bottom of the road that was cheap so would recommend using that (taxi driver told us this was local prices and not tourist prices) The beds aren’t that comfy & would recommend asking reception for more pillows we did this & it wasn’t an issue. Overall we had a great time & would return.

*There are renovation works being carried out around the hotel, please bear this in mind when booking* Clean and tidy hotel with mainly friendly staff. We were initially given room 014 on the ground floor when we arrived very late at night. We were woken in the morning by workmen in the room next door who were carrying out renovation works. I immediately asked for a room change which was given straight away with an apology. We moved to room 229 which was a top floor room with a large roof terrace and sea view much better, bit of a pain having to move rooms with two kids but it was worth it. The beds are not very comfortable so bear that in mind...they are rock hard! The rooms are clean and well equipped, maid service 5 days a week. Pool areas are good, plenty of room and plenty of sunbeds. Make sure you bring your own towels. The young pool guy is very miserable and unfriendly, he seemed to allow inflatables when it pleased him which is not ideal when you have to explain that to the kids! The older lifeguard was better, at least he smiled 😃. The staff in the pool bar are lovely, friendly and helpful. The main restaurant is not open so you need to walk out if you want a nice meal in the evening. Taxis are cheap, we walked into both playa de Las americas and Los Cristianos every day and got a taxi back for between 5 and 7 euros. Overall we had a good time, but I would not return until the renovation works were complete, and they really need to have a chat with the grumpy pool guard!

here now & dont know why so many negative reviews. the pools are massive. the apartments are massive & hotel is spotless. huge balcony/terrace. plenty of sunbeds & no sun bed wars. the snack bar & little shop onsite is reasonably priced. the food at the snack bar is really nice. only problem we did find is 1 day the life guard would allow inflatables in the pool the next day they wouldn't this isnt ideal for younger children who cant swim without a small float as my 2 & 4 year old cant go in the pool without a small floating aid my 4 year starting cryin when she got told to take the float out she was confused as she was allowed the day before. yes it is a bit away from the town but can walk it down to los cristianos in 20mins & everyone complaining about steep hills coming back. we dont find this a problem & thats with a pram & a 4 year old. there is a gate at the bottom of the hill to get in & can easily get the lift up to the hill so it cuts out the hill to the reception. i emailed before we arrived to ask for a low/ground floor & when we arrived thats what we got. all staff are friendly & welcoming. i would say dont listen to negative reviews & just come see for urself. only fault we have is the inflatables other than that lovely apartments. we would definetly come back to these apartments

Just back from a week staying here. Hotel was fine apart from the lifeguard who for whatever reason decided to ban all balls, inflatables, toys from the pool for half a day on the last day of our holiday. Then made a scene when people refused and he eventually backed down. Absolutely no idea what that was about but it resulted in miserable families with little children who couldn’t do anything other than be quiet and swim lengths in the pool in silence. Very strange Hotel also has a small supermarket and bar/cafe with reasonable prices and friendly staff. Not the best hotel for the less mobile as there are lots of hills but and has a taxi rank at the bottom of the hill outside reception. 2min walk. Not necessarily a bad holiday but would probably choose another holiday more central
