The Sol Tenerife Hotel was a great hotel. Yes the rooms are a bit dated but so what.. they are clean and tidy, the staff are very friendly and helpful too. The food at the buffet was nice, maybe just a little more variety needed but it certainly did the job. The room is near the strip so it can get noisy until early hours, however if you stay in B block it is a lot more quieter. Its in a good location to the free buses that take you to Siam Park and Siam Mall. It also very close to nightlife and there are also quieter places to drink if you want a quiet one. The restaurants on the beach front are lovely and in a very short walking distance. The beds in the hotel were soooo comfortable, probably the best we have stayed in on holiday. There are two pools with plenty sun lounges. We went half board so didn't buy alcohol here but there is a shop attached to the hotel and you can take any drink to the pool area as long as it is not glass. There are also excursion shop attached to the hotel as well. We would come stay here again and had a lovely time here.

Stopped here as a group of 16 couples, ranging from 32-45. After reading the reviews I was concerned about what it would be like. However, we was pleasantly surprised. Check in was quick, we was on the 7th floor with a sea view and this was beautiful. However, as the hotel is literally joint onto the strip, it was extremely loud at night and you could hear the music playing until 5am in the morning. Bring ear plugs. Fridge, kettle and tea in the room, along with a hairdryer. Only 1 plug socket in our room and one in the bathroom. Rooms cleaned daily. Safe available at a cost. We were all inclusive, food at breakfast, lunch and dinner is all served in the buffet restaurant and the was a good selection of foods. We ate with no difficulties everyday. During the buffet, you need to get up and get your own drinks from the many machines around the restaurant. There is a snack bar during the day until 6pm. We didn’t go here but saw foods such as burgers, hot dogs and nuggets. The pool bar opened at 10am and there was never a very big clue. Cruzcampo on draft, which was a good pint. Mocktails also available. Pool area was clean and empty cups collected through the day. However, the pools could have done with a bit of a clean. Pool towels available for €10 deposit for the whole stay. It is a euro if you wish to get a clean one. Yoga every morning and activities in the pool during the day. There was evening entertainment. However, we didn’t watch this. There is also a kids club. Lifts so get busy later in the evening and can be waiting a while. There is security at the hotel 24/7 on the front door. We saw a drunk male in the buffet at breakfast who was being disruptive and the hotel staff had him removed which made it feel safe. The staff we came across were very friendly. After check out; we were able to keep our wristbands and they locked our cases away in a secure room with security one the door. There is a shop joint onto the hotel which is reasonably priced. 20 minutes from the airport, at €35 euros for the taxi. Over all, we enjoyed it. You get what you pay for in a place like this and myself and my partner did say we would return to that hotel.

Rated this 3 starts not 5 because the customer service at the dinner time was absolutely awful and rude. When normally staying at any type of hotel, especially 4 star, you expect to be served drinks by the staff when you sit down at the table. When me and my friend wanted to get drinks we literally had to go up to the waiters and ask them to take the orders as no one was coming up to us. This happened every dinner, there was even one dinner where we wasn’t served any drinks. And when we told the the waiter at the front about this we was replied with ‘ok’. Personally I just think that was very unprofessional and quite rude, the fact that we’re complaining about something and the reply we get is literally ‘ok’. Anyways the rooms were quite old, the housekeeping were lovely really tidied up the rooms and came every day. The noise from the clubs didn’t disturb us that much as we knew the hotel would be right by the strip.
