“Excellent but evening entertainment should be inside!!”

We've just returned from the Ambassador Playa 1, our 3rd time. It is a lovely hotel, very clean, staff are very friendly and it is definitly worth paying the extra £2 + to include lunch. The food is really good and varied. The lifts are reliable too. The Explorers Bar is great for evening music. Our only grumble is that the main evening entertainment was held outside after our 3rd night. We were cold and had to wear our jackets and trousers. Even after rain finished one evening at 7.45 it was still outside with only a handful of customers and another evening the rain actually began just before 7.45 - outside again. The entertainers had very few people watching. As many hotel guests are older people this is very inconsiderate. The Explorers bar is great but can be extremely noisy. Mid May is far too early to be outside getting chilled being outside waiting for the 3 acts booked!!

“Another great stay”

Just back from 5 nights, stayed half board and found the food great, always plenty of choice so never went hungry, rooms were lovely and cleaned everyday, paid extra for a pool view room and well worth it as we had the sun on the balcony all afternoon, never heard any noise from the strip once the … more

Just back from 5 nights, stayed half board and found the food great, always plenty of choice so never went hungry, rooms were lovely and cleaned everyday, paid extra for a pool view room and well worth it as we had the sun on the balcony all afternoon, never heard any noise from the strip once the balcony doors were shut, didn’t use the pool area as went on the beach, all the staff I came into contact with were lovely and always said hello, looking forward to going back September ❤️

“Good hotel and location”

Lovely hotel in the middle of everything but was able to sleep not much noise from the streets below. room was average size very clean but had some Mark's on the wall. The restaurant is very busy and the food was good something for everyone.

2nd return to the hotel unsure if we will return for a 3rd. We are typical British family if we find something we like we will return again and again and again! 2nd return to the hotel unsure if we will return for a 3rd. We are typical British family if we find something we like we will return again and again and again! Beautiful hotel, amazing staff (miserable cleaners) clean, in a lovely location for families. Out the way of the chaos but close enough to join the chaos when you fancy it! Bars and shops all along the way to the beach (15 min walk) must check out tropical bar opposite - best family bar in Benidorm! Rooms are spacious, cleaned every day and aircon was good. We emailed and requested a pool view low level room which is exactly what we got! (Thankyou) Food was brilliant (TRY THE BEEF 😋) My 7 month old is celiac and we are weaning but every thing is clearly labled gluten free etc which made life a lot easier finding things for her to eat. Also spoke to resturant manager and waiters and explain the allergies they will point out what she could and couldn’t eat throughout the AI! Kids club! AMAZING - my 6 year old loved! Now the only down fall we found with the holiday and it really did put us off returning. As early risers (especially with a baby) we are up and ready by 7am. Pool does not open until 9am and you cannot get a sunbed until they release you like wild animals. Yes. The dreaded sun bed wars. I laugh at people on tik tok saying I’ll never do that. Well yes, I had to do that. 745am every morning queing at the door to get a sunbed with a parasol (as they are now drilled to the floor??!!) ovbiously with 2 young children a parasol is a must with the Benidorm heat! Not enough parasols for the amount of children at the hotel unfortunately. The sunbed situation really does let the hotel down. And for this reason we are unsure whether we will be retuning. Thankyou flamingo for another fantastic holiday! You really do go above and beyond and do everything you can to ensure we have a good week away from home!!
