Recently stayed at the Rosamar for 6 Nights with my partner and daughter. Overall our experience was pleasant and I would consider returning. We went All Inclusive and ate in the Restaurant most days. The food was as you would expect, very repetitive but enough choice to switch it up. Breakfast was our favourite, and if you found the food a little cold there is a microwave to warm dishes up. There are a number of reviews mentioning tummy bugs, we thankfully never had any issues but we never ate from the snack bar so maybe this is the reason. Staff were pleasant and the hotel is kept very clean throughout. Its a real positive that no smoking is allowed in the pool area and both pools were spotless. The token system works well and we never really experienced long queues. Our room had enough space for the 3 of us and it was cleaned each day, providing fresh towels. I would suggest that it may be nice to have a broom in the room as we were constantly getting sand on the floor which then got trodden onto the beds. The major downside with the room is that the door is not insulated so unfortunately EVERY night we woken up by selfish guests being really loud in the corridors as late as 2am, with some letting their kids run around and cause havoc..... We were British guests and I have to say I felt quite embarrassed by some of the British families that were staying on the same floor as us. The hotel is situated not far from the beach with local supermarkets near by. We avoided the drinking culture there by having a few days out at Aqua Naturra and Zoo, took the tram to Denia and walked into the Old Town. The beach is absolutely beautiful and is mostly family orientated. Overall a very positive experience.

Booked this slightly later than we normally book holidays with ‘on the beach’, so didn’t really do my homework.. Rosamar seemed a decent enough price, 5 people 2 adults, kids, 14, 10, 8 - all inclusive 7 nights during school holidays around £2800 ish with flights, transfers, and 3 bags.. anyway turned up after mid-night to be greeted by what can only be described as a ‘jobs worth’ on the desk, waste of time fella, first he said I I didn’t have a booking, then found it after 5 mins then said I only had 1 room, I advised him I’d booked 2 rooms.. after 10 minutes of him rolling his eyes about he found it and sent us off, floor 13 and floor 8, I did email twice prior to arrival asking for rooms to be near each other and also told on the beach but got no reply from either.. next morning I set off to get a few sun beds.. quite a few people waiting near pool door, level -1 door gets opened at 9am then it’s a power walk to your favoured area to throw towels down, pretty much everyone then disappears for an hour until pool opens at 10.. I found breakfast in main restaurant to be ok, as good as it gets really, 3/4* All inclusive.. could be better but had worse.. lunch in the main restaurant isn’t fantastic but we ate lunch at the snack bar, decent hot dogs made fresh, sometimes there is a wait.. restaurant in the evening again same as lunch so we ended up eating out most nights.. beer, and drinks are good, Amstel beer and Coca-Cola etc all branded, the token and cup system seems to work well.. rooms are modern with decent storage, bathrooms are fine, although one of our rooms needed a plumber twice to fix a leak underneath which flooded the bathroom.. entertainment is shocking, really really poor, worst I’ve seen anywhere considering it’s in Benidorm surrounded by known acts, they need to sort this out.. hotel is in a great location if you want to go out and get steaming 12-4am then crawl home, we found the staff to be ok everywhere apart from the front desk, each encounter with 3 different people were all really poor it’s like they just couldn’t care less, the hotel is currently full so go away.. there was quite a lot of sickness around the hotel like a 24 hour bug, my daughter was really poorly through the 2nd or 3rd night, being sick constantly until she had nothing left then fell asleep, I’m putting it down to the main pool as she was never out of it, mornings it’s clear in afternoon it’s is like a swamp, very very busy pool. The kids waterpark is a good afternoon my daughter spent her afternoons enjoying that which was a change of scenery for us too.. the hotel is very geared up to cater for kids, there’s always something going on, although the mini disco really is mini about 20 mins max from 9pm.. I was talking to a few people there and all were of the same opinion as me and that is the people who go here are not here for a long time they are here for a good time so heavy drinking all day, leads to shouting, screaming, arguing through the night.. loads of that going on, being daft and inconsiderate at the restaurants etc, kids are pretty much free to do whatever they want, a very big lad hit my 8 year old girl at the waterpark, I went and found the life guards who didn’t really want to know until they saw my daughter was bleeding quite bad, they sorted her out and found the big lad, he was a complete gobshite, a few other mums saw what was going on and came over to say the same lad had been doing it to everyone for days and getting away with it, not on my watch I told them to go and bring his mum and dad so I could have it out with them, the mother turned up looking sheepish, deffo not her first rodeo, he must be at it all the time.. a bully.. anyway sorted that and never saw them again.. Plenty of bars and restaurants around the hotel if you want to get out, and a very good walk up the beach a couple of streets away.. We won’t return to Benidorm mainly because the area is just not for us, the people everywhere are boozing 24/7 being offered gear and powder every 20 steps even if your with kids isn’t really my type of family holiday.. maybe better on outskirts, good hotel for people watching, loads of character’s everywhere.. “Good spot, great for kids, but too many faults for my liking”

The location was great, easy access to beach and new town bars. The hotel catered for families and children seemed to be having a great time. We stayed on the first floor which was brilliant for us as we didn't have to deal with the lifts, awful lifts. What can I say about the food, not great, however, good choice of salads but main courses very poor. We paid the extra to upgrade our all inclusive to premium, our main reason for this was the drinks. The price was excellent to upgrade, for both myself and hubby about 112 Euro for the week, for us this was worth every penny as we are not keen on the taste of own branded spirits. I had a bad time in the room, our bathroom did not have any vanity surrounding so nowhere to place creams, makeup or hair straighteners. The bedroom did not have a mirror so couldn't get ready in there, only the bathroom had a mirror, but nowhere to place anything. Also, the cleaning of the bathroom floor was shocking, the bathroom was a splash room with a grate for water in the middle, every time we had a shower other peoples hair came up out of it; other peoples hair was in our room and bathroom. I would suggest the housekeeping team need new brushes, as they seemed to just spread hair around, awful. A big issue was the sunbeds, not once did we have a sunbed around the pool, it was mad, people barging and pushing to get their first. I went to reception to ask where the solarium was located and informed her of the sunbed issue, to which she just stated for me to take peoples towels off. In no way would I want to end up arguing with some of the guests in this hotel over sunbeds. I stated it was their job to manage the situation not guests. But there is an adult area that had sunbeds, but no pool so all wasn't lost. The noise level was no issues for us as we were at the end of a corridor so no foot traffic, we also went out and came back late. This hotel is good for children and for guests who aren't too bothered about the quality of food and drinks. There are options for fussy eaters but I would never touch the chicken as some guests got food poisoning, we saw pictures of undercooked chicken served there. This is something the hotel really needs to get a grip on before someone really gets poorly and into a serious condition. The hotel can't blame the sun and alcohol for poor cooking standards. Our stay was okay, staff nice and the bar area pleasant in the main reception area. Some improvements to the rooms, maybe a mirror in the main bedroom over the table to make it easy to get ready. I didn't ask if any other guests had an issue, I only know I did. I will not be back to this hotel due to the reasons above, but for families on a budget it's great, just stay away from the chicken until you are confident it's cooked correctly.
