Our review as a family of 4 (kids 7&4) staying 1 week start of May. Premium all inclusive plus. Just finished up our family holiday and here's our thoughts. Sorry, its a long one.... Food & drinks: Really good selection, always cooked perfectly. Cant understand the many complaints regarding the food. Yes there were nights that I wouldn't eat many of the main dishes because I am a plain eater. But there was always something like Bread, chips, chicken goujons, pasta etc if you didn't want the more adventurous dishes. Maybe it wasn't overly hot but with kids we never get to eat food while it is hot 😂 The Italian was so nice! My kids and us all loved it. I wouldn't be a kebab person, but the kebab meat at the snack bar is so nice!! We mostly ate in the captains table but a few times in 7 seas as we were too early for the captains table. It was exactly the same food in both. Drinks are good too. Mostly branded spirits regardless of premium or standard ai. Ladron on tap is as close to sangria as you'll get but its really nice. Cocktails are okay too. Not very strong as its premixed bottles they use. But sure add an extra shot and your sorted. Pizza delivery: Yeah this was a let down. Arrived on time but was cold and I mean next morning after night out cold. Totally inedible but no drama, just went to the captains table instead. Lodge: We stayed in battleship lagoon jacuzzi room. I know many people slated the hot tubs because they weren't private, but the way I see it is, we all sit by the pool chatting in Bikinis so what's the difference 🤷‍♀️ and to be honest, we got the hot tub for the kids mainly and they loved it. They also couldnt care less that people walking past could see them 👌 room was cleaned and Fridge was re stocked daily. I suppose the only downside was no lock on the inside but then I read that its to do with new Spanish fire safety laws, my partner and I took it in turns to sleep on the sofa. Pools: Okay so some pros and cons for the pools. The size of them and slides etc are fabulous 👌 we didnt use the paradise island pool because in the words of my kids "it looked boring" I get it, its supposed to be a more chilled area. But my 2 want slides and games etc. We went between the kraken and the battleship. They liked the kraken because they could go in and out the pool themselves without needing us. 7 yearold can swim within his own depth. 4 yearold needs Swim vest. So because the floor of the battleship dips down so suddenly and you can't see where, we always had to be in with them. They loved the foam partys and the little games of archery and mini golf at pool side. The bottom of the pool is rough too so would definitely recommend the little pool shoes. We also hired the pool towels. Best thing ever. They are €15 each, change at reception as often as needed. They are big proper towels. Saves space in the suitcase and trying to hang over chairs to dry. Shows and location: We done the medieval show at Robin Hood and wow it was fabulous 👌 highly recommend it and the fact its around €34 each it not ultra all inclusive os insane. So the ultra ai is definitely worth it. We only went to 3 of the night shows here. I feel they are on too late and a good walk to get to. So with tired kids, its not easy. Kids disco is 8.30 and main show at 10. Issue is, you have to walk up round the back of the resort and through a gate to the zoo and then down to the show. If you're lucky you'll get a table at the front on the floor, if not its the tiered concrete steps. But the shows were good that we seen, some better than others. Kids club: My 2 went to this a few times and the girls in there are lovely ❤️ Chloe and Sophia took such good care and really put a lot of effort into the activities they were doing with the kids. Not sure if staff are on here but please pass on our love. Reggie just adored them. Kids club was also brilliant on the one day that we had thunderstorms. Zoo & waterpark: This was an amazing addition to the holiday. When you come out the gates, its left for waterpark, right for zoo. Again the fact that non guests have to pay €32 entry and we can come and go as we please, shows the value for money. Only criticism is, Natura have their own entrance to the zoo but are same distance away. I wonder why Pirates cant have that. Zoo was fabulous, animals are really well cared for and clean. At the waterpark we booked online for the sea lion experience. Unreal, like completely felt like a dream to be in the water stroking them and swimming with them. Again the were so well cared for and you could tell they had a lovely relationship with the trainers and that they cared a lot for them. Premium: The little touches like the more quiet buffet was nice. But I found the que jump uncomfortable and unnecessary. Maybe just have 2 equal lines instead 🤷‍♀️ maybe its just me. I sometimes stood in the normal que if there was no one in the premium que, but the staff still tried to serve me before the people in front. The ultra all inclusive/plus was definitely worth it in my opinion. With the medieval show and fridge top up every day. All in all we had a great time. Would definitely return. But I feel like without this group I wouldn't have navigated this so easily as you aren't given much information at check in. We had a day of heavy rain and thunderstorms and no indoor activities for them to do. “5 ⭐️family holiday”

Having already had a holiday in magic natura and magic Robin Hood I had huge expectations from this resort and it didn’t disappoint. We went Ulta all inclusive - had transfer included. Located only 45 mins from Alicante airport. It was quiet first week in May but still a nice friendly atmosphere around. Rooms were spotless and maintained every day. Travelled with family with kids 10,8,7 - always something to do…. Pools , Visited zoo, water park or kids just loved the pitch area. Trip to beach club and all the restaurants is a must. Also visited the show in Robin-hood which was nice as missed it last two times. Shows at night was excellent entertainment - one thing I would recommend to have path to them better marked out as they didn’t know where to go first night. Husband coeliac - so there was a worry about range of food. Different method then other magic chains as had to order food 24 hours before but Materdia was a great help. Special mention to all the staff in the 7 seas buffet especially Yusi. Had one or two issues during week but they were easily solved by Ellie and efficient customer care team. Thanks for a lovely week we will be back again

We recently stayed at the Magic Pirates Resort from May 11th to 18th, 2026, as a large family group of 10, including our 10-month-old and 3-year-old. Overall, we had a fantastic time and made some amazing memories, though there were a few things that could be improved. The lodges are great—modern, clean, and feel very new. Our 3-year-old son absolutely loved the pirate ship bed! We had requested lodges next to each other for our large group, which the resort couldn't fulfill, but they did manage to keep us relatively close by, which worked out fine. The connected zoo was brilliant, and the bird show was a massive hit. The water park was also fantastic, with plenty of things to keep even the youngest kids entertained. A huge highlight for our son was the pirate treasure hunt game on the phone—he had the best time tracking down the different posters around the resort. I highly recommend doing it! The food was generally very good with plenty of variety. However, we did notice that plates and glasses were occasionally dirty or poorly washed. The pool water was very cold during our May stay, meaning the kids couldn't stay in for very long. I imagine this isn't an issue in the peak of summer, but it's worth noting for May. Additionally, the bar service down by the pool was quite slow due to not having enough staff on. Despite these negative points, we genuinely loved our holiday. It's a brilliant place for a family getaway, and we would definitely stay here again!
