Couples Holiday - All Inclusive Location: The location of the hotel is great. Being on the left side of the 'Old Town', it's quieter than you'd imagine coming to Benidorm if that's what you're after. There are also souvenir shops and bars on the route towards old town if needed. Still, if you did want to go to the party side, it's only about a 30 minute walk, or an uber away. The beach is located across the road from the hotel, and for the time of year that we stayed, would never get so busy that you wouldn't be able to find space, even at peak times of the day. Room: The room we stayed in had the ocean view, which was amazing to wake up to in the morning, having the sunrise ocean was very picturesque. We also had a jacuzzi in the room, which was good and had surprisingly powerful jets. Complementary towels and robes were provided, which may be standard for all rooms, but definitely helped for the jacuzzi. The room was quite spacious, and came with a fridge packed with different drinks, pepsi, orange-ade, champagne, etc. The bathroom was also good, and ours came equipped with two sinks for the room. The actual shower is powerful and comes with a handrail if you need to use it to get in to the shower as it's a bath/shower combo. The screen used to keep water inside the shower might need a resealing though as sometimes it did leak onto the floor. The general hotel was clean and tidy, and the staff were for the most part pleasant to talk to. Amenities: - There is a swimming pool, however the general pool area leaves much to be desired. It's small/mid sized, with beds all around the pool. The pool was cold, which is to be expected as it's not heated, and is probably a lot better in the summer months. - The gym is located in the pool area, and is very small. There is one machine in there, that does 21 different exercises, but none of them all that well, so don't expect to be able to get a full work out in. There is also a running machine located in the gym, but i never tried to use it. Complementary towels are provided in the gym area as well. - The rooftop bar, this is a great part of the hotel, there is a mix of large sun lounger beds and seated areas for use. The area gets plenty of sun, potentially more than the swimming pool area, as there are no buildings to obstruct the sunlight, if you wanted to sunbathe. The actual bar is great, comes with a mix of different cocktails that you can choose from, many of which are different from what's available in other bars in the hotel. The view from the rooftop goes out onto the ocean and beach, and is stunningly beautiful. - The downstairs bar, this is almost separate to the hotel, and you might even miss it on your first day of getting your bearings. It's directly next to the hotel and provides more seated areas with large table if you have a bigger group to accommodate in a bar setting - Evening entertainment, on the bottom floor of the hotel, is the entertainment room, you'll find a mixed bag of performances during your stay, it's really just luck of the draw at the time you stay. We had a magician, singer, guitarist and michael jackson impersonator, amongst others. Food/Allergy/Allergies - I have a lot of food allergies. Wheat, Eggs, Dairy, Nuts, Yeast and Kiwi. The cafeteria is a buffet style, and boasts a wide variety of food that changes each day, so I was worried that I'd not be able to eat much, due to the risk of cross contamination. However, the level of service I received was excellent. The staff were very helpful in making sure I knew what I could or couldn't eat, especially the maître d', Joaquin, who showed me which dishes I was able to eat for each service. If he was not around then other people in the staff were able to speak to the chef, for them to show me around. Big thanks to Joaquin, Aida, Vernata, and the many others that helped out. If you do have allergies and are worried, I would recommend firstly speaking to the maître d', or if he is not around then one of the servers. Please note, the conversational English isn't the greatest for some of the servers, so have a translated sentence for them to read as that will help clear up understanding of your situation. Also, I found it's a good idea to get to the food service times as early as possible to be run through what you will be able to eat. Even if you don't stay to eat at that time, it allows for the staff to give you the attention you need, whilst it's still relatively quiet. All in all, the value of the hotel, including the all inclusive package was well worth it, and we'd stay at the hotel again.
