This property has great potential but it really let itself down. Some of the staff need training in hospitality! My room was lovely and clean - 5/5 to housekeeping - with great facilities and my room led straight onto the pool area. But it was dark - I had to use the torch on my phone to see inside the wardrobe. Check-in was 4pm (fair enough) and was a long wait from when we arrived. We did ask if there was anything they could do but they weren’t terribly forthcoming. We did have lunch there one day and the food was excellent. The pool area was neglected during our stay. Filthy sunbed cushions and the pool wasn’t cleaned the whole time we were there. Used towels were not removed from the beds and glasses left on the tables. Taxis were challenging to get into town but it was fiesta time (that the staff didn’t know very much about !) First impression was great but lasting impression disappointment. As I was frequently told at school, must try harder!

Unfortunately there were more negatives than positives. Positives: Building and grounds were lovely and well kept with some beautiful ornaments. Young girls on reception were very helpful despite a slight lack of English and they worked very hard. The night reception staff spoke better English and were also very helpful and friendly. Despite the negatives of our room our friends had a lovely and bright room and balcony. Negatives: Swimming pool dirty and not cleaned once during our stay plus a green ring around the edge which was very off putting so none of us really wanted to venture in. Despite about 20 sun beds there were only about 6 cushions, all in a poor state and three of which were disgusting. Towels left out overnight and into next day and side tables not wiped. No toilet paper in the pool toilet mid morning and no soap in the reception toilet. Our bedroom was lovely and very spacious but painted a sludge brown meaning light had to be on all day. The same in the entrance where the long length mirror was. Man running pool bar quite surly and unhelpful; when asked if we could order lunch he told us he was finishing his coffee. And then we asked where it was he said he had to lay all the tables despite no one else being around. In the end we were served at 2:15!!
