“A lovely relaxing stay”

The rooms could do with just a touch of TLC, our bathroom had a constant 'smell' to it. The rooms could do with just a touch of TLC, our bathroom had a constant 'smell' to it. The staff/store areas between the reception and rooms and pool etc could do with a tidy BUT after all that said I would return in a heartbeat!!! We were in room 113 which overlooked the sand rather than the pool but this was absolutely fine. Just one word of warning the bar immediately to the lefthand side of us has party night every Sunday and it didn't stop until 4am while we were there. I should imagine rooms overlooking the pool wouldn't hear it. The older receptionist is just lovely so very funny. Older waitress at breakfast couldn't wait to help you. The breakfast was just fine... 2 juices, water, coffee, tea, eggs cooked to order, cereal, fruit salad, Breads. Such a chilled out vibe. We did venture onto the road once but realised we really didn't need to everything we needed was on the beach. Such a lovely feeling to never wear shoes, to walk the beach each morning, to watch spectacular Sunsets from Andalay bar. It really was the most relaxing 3 days for us. Beforehand we had been in Chiang Mai, Phuket town, Nai Harn, Tub Kaek and Ao Nang. Even as I write this in the grounds of Beyond Krabi in Klong Muang which is beautiful I realise just how amazing Andalay was. I will definitely be back to Koh Lanta and Andalay!

“Just perfect”

This is a perfect hotel for us, one of my favourites I have ever stayed in. Location is perfect, on an amazing beach. You can hear the waves from your room. This is a perfect hotel for us, one of my favourites I have ever stayed in. Location is perfect, on an amazing beach. You can hear the waves from your room. It’s isn’t luxurious, but has everything we needed. Lovely friendly staff, great restaurant, good happy hour every day between 4-6 pm. Breakfast is free with your room, it is just fine, with amazing views of the sea from the restaurant. The cottages are spacious, with a big comfy bed. Nice power shower. Room cleaning and free water every day. You can book excursions from the hotel, all at a good price. They also do laundry for you at a good price, The pool area is lovely, located just by the beach. The location of the hotel is good too, with many beach bars and restaurants close by. All in all a great little hotel that won’t break the bank.We have another 5 days here of our 2 week stay and will be very sorry to leave.

A lovely place . Great air conned room with good facilities and a comfortable large bed , room cleaned when you asked for it . Pool great ( but see below) and needed in some extreme heat . The bar offered everything needed . The cocktail menu is more limited than some, but well made and strong . The food is just excellent , if a little pricier that nearby but worth it .The beach area in front of the resort is spotlessly clean as is the sea , gently shelving and totally safe to swim in . The office can arrange all excursions and transfers , and the friendly staff even sewed up my torn luggage bag themselves for me . I would say that this resort would suit the more mature client seeking a quieter time. It suited us that there were no tacky 'fire shows' here on the beach performed to blaring horrible 1980's soft rock music . It also seemed that the use of 'weed' here is frowned upon , nice for us , as is widely used (and smelt) pretty much everywhere else (not our scene , man). The only downsides we thought were that the road outside could be a bit noisy . Some of our fellow 'guests' also seemed to think it appropriate to 'claim' a sunbed before 7am with a towel and then disappear for several hours . Annoying .Basically , when busy, there are not quite enough beds around the pool to go around. You can play the towel game or rise above it as rude and selfish which we did .Many don't though . Entitled and superior guests also seemed to feel entitled to leave all their discarded crap around the pool when they vacated the pool area ,despite there being a bin close by so it was sometimes untidy when not cleared for a while afterwards. Whilst these issues are down to rude and selfish guests and not the resort ,we did feel that some stricter enforcement of good behaviour by way of signage in reception and around the pool might help . Unfortunately the non confrontational nature of the Thai people didn't deal with it .And please change the background music in the bar to something chilled and ambient for the sunsets . The Country and Western Mix repeatedly played is awful!.
