We visit Thailand 60 days each year and have stayed in a lot of hotels. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite -thank you!!! We really enjoyed the pool, happy hour , delicious breakfast and all the amazing staff. The signage with all the specials are great. Attended the meet & greet the managers event which was lovely. Lots of little touches in the room like nightlight on the floor. We would definitely come back again😁

I have no hesitation in writing a very excellent review of this extraordinarily clean and wonderful hotel. The staff here were particularly good, especially Dear and Pin at reception. I think every traveller in Thailand should come to this hotel once in their life to understand what real luxury is

“A lovely Resort in a great place”

The Dara Samui resort is in a lively part of town. It’s has something for everyone. The staff a lovely and can’t do enough for you. Beautiful views across the bay. Sometimes the Tide can restrict the beach space but soon goes out.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our honeymoon adventure around Thailand. The staff were welcoming on our arrival and helpful with our bags. I booked this hotel as I liked the traditional looking build of the hotel and the reviews were reasonable. Koh Samui can also be a little pricey for accommodation, so I felt this was the best offer of value vs luxury/comfort/location. The hotel is an interesting layout as it fits on a long plot so extends from the road all the way to the sea. The character in the rooms is unique- heavy curtains and mahogany features. The bathrooms have a mix of different tiles/textures on wall and floor. Some of the features are quite dated overall and could do with renovation. Overall it was clean. When we entered our room, the toilet flush wasn't working and it took quite a while and several men later to fix it and have it usable. We checked in late on our arrival date so we feel this is something that should have been detected and fixed much earlier in the day in anticipation of our arrival but none-the-less it was sorted. Unfortunately the place was overrun with mosquitos and we had a collection of bites by the end of our stay despite use of repellent. Breakfast was decent- there's a live egg/crepe station. Staff are friendly. Many savoury options, as is typical in Thai breakfast buffets. The pool area is very small but there is a sunbathing deck above the bar area that is decent. Happy hour is between 1-3pm where the cocktails are 2-for-1. Staff were lovely. The tide was very far in all day, every day of our stay unfortunately so couldn't actually access the beach for walking or sunbathing. The only time it was accessible was after 7pm. They offer dining on the beach in the evenings, so we made the most of that on our second night and the experience was very enjoyable but got a little cold as the wind picked up. Chaweng is a little lively and a bit too similar to european party holiday destinations, although we did enjoy ourselves. We probably would recommend staying somewhere else on Koh Samui and also probably would not return to this specific accommodation.
