Spent 7nights at Sala Samui over the Songkran New Year for my 50th birthday. We found this hotel to be so hospitable with such personable touches from the minute you arrive. Before showing your room each individual has the opportunity to decide which type of pillow you would like to sleep on, then you get to choose which sent you would like for your toiletries, I chose the lemongrass 🍋 they even burnt essential oils in your room of a night- such a lovely touch! We had x3 beachfront suites with swim up pools. On entering our room I was greeted to a birthday cake 🎂 The rooms were immaculate, beautiful, views to die for, with pristine pure white bedding and towels. Nespresso coffee machines were great to have in the room, and again plenty of well stocked bottles of drinking water were always available. We could not fault this hotel one bit, the staff were so friendly always ready to help and please us. Breakfast at The Tent was good and efficient, they had a good system on the egg section and the waiting times were minimal. Everything was lovely and fresh and you could also pick from a menu for made to order dishes which was a lovely touch. Unfortunately I picked up something in Phuket and was unwell during my stay, the hotel receptionist were amazing and provided me with as they call it “sickness soup and rice”, even sending me up a teapot of freshly cut ginger. This was such a lovely gesture and really helped me. I made good use of the round bath tub as well, with Epsom salts provided. During our stay it was my husbands birthday, without even mentioning this to the hotel they provided him with a cake and all the staff rallied round to sing him Happy Birthday. Many thanks to Mo who took charge on this matter to go above and beyond to make his day feel really special. The Songkran festivities were great to see around the pool, the hotel manager Erwin van der Veen, taking part and having great fun with all of his staff and their families. Sala Samui was definitely the best hotel along the Chewng strip, it was approx a 10min walk to the lively Cheweng strip, but sadly Cheweng wasn’t the nicest places to visit. I found it was quite dirty, even along the beach there was washed up debris and rubbish. Ashame really, but an ideal location if you want the hustle and bustle of extremely lively night life! Highly recommend Fisherman’s Village which was about 20mins in a taxi, lots of good restaurants and they have a night market there too. Overall 5⭐️ for Sala Samui hotel, I would definitely recommend anyone to come visit and try there 💛

After spending 13 nights in the Sala Hotel. We found the experience relaxing comfortable and certainly up to the 5 star rating . We stayed in a pool villa on the garden wing side room was fantastic and our housekeeper Wang was exceptional The room was cleaned to a very high standed . Room with a pool fantastic so private and quiet. Breakfast in the tent was very good A different special every day including full english breakfast and healthy options. Our server beam catered to all our needs with a lovely smile. We did not venture to the beach area as we had the pool villa Overall a great hotel but... When arriving after traveling 24 hours we don't wont too be bombarded with room scent pillows apps etc..questions The normal check in passports etc is common as tiredness will affected your decision .and could be done The following morning.. The week we spent in SALA Samui was fantastic. Amazing rooms with a lot of space and very comfortable beds. Highly appreciated was the piece and quietness and the availability of two pools and the ongoing availability of sunbeds on the beach. The breakfast is out of this world with a wide array of choices and fresh juices. The staff were at all times extremely friendly, supportive and caring. It was a unique experience and it is seldom to have so many people approaching you with such warmth and discretion at the same time. Happy hour and food in the restaurant were tremendous and we even enjoyed a fire show on the beach. We can highly recommend the hotel as shops and entertainment are nearby, staff is outstanding and the hotel modern and offers all you can wish for.
