Where to start! Firstly, I have been coming to Samui for over 25 years and I can honestly say this is the best accommodation I have stayed in, for many reasons. The hotels employees, every single one of them without exception were outstanding. I have never felt so welcome anywhere, so friendly, always happy, nothing is too much trouble. I felt right at home straight away, being a solo traveller I never felt alone once at this hotel only at home. To the owner of the hotel your employees are an absolute credit to you. The sea view room was lovely and big, very quiet, had everything I needed, new beach towels every day, slippers, dressing gown, an extremely comfortable bed. Plenty of sockets which makes a nice change and comfortable seats on the balcony. The bathroom was nice and spacious, soaps, shampoo and body lotion provided in the shower and by the bath and a good hairdryer. Nice big towels too! The breakfast was plentiful lots of variety, fresh fruit was my main go to and some lovely coffee. The restaurant food was so good, in fact I ate here and didn’t bother going out some evenings. The guys on the beach bar were lovely and friendly so never felt odd sitting having a nice drink listening to the sea in the evenings on my own. It’s the little touches that make hotels stand out, and Samui Jasmine does them well. I have already booked again for 17 nights this time, I won’t be staying anywhere else in future, can’t wait to go back!

“No stress in this tropical paradise”

The invoice for consumed drinks and food is very poorly drawn up, very unclear; only the amount to be paid is clear. A bit more professionalism is more than desirable these days. Therefore the score is average. Ps: apart of this everything is excellent, room, breakfast, friendly staff ..’

“A mixed bag”

We had high expectations of this resort after reading the reviews but must say we left slightly disappointed. There's no question it does lots of things well but there were certain areas that let it down and caused us inconvenience. The main one was that we emailed twice in advance and also stated in our Booking that we would like a quiet room. When we arrived and mentioned this at Reception the lady laughed as she said the one we had been given was not quiet at all and was overlooked by several of the balconies. As it was, they put us in another room but the adjoining room was used by the maids to store their bedding and so on so they were forever coming and going which was quite disturbing. Location – excellent The Reception is just off the main road and within a matter of steps you are taken away from the madness there and in the lovely gardens with the stream that runs through the resort down to the beach. At the same time, you are a minute walk from bars, restaurants and convenience stores so it really is in a great position. Accommodation – we went for a garden villa which was quite comfortable and had a lot going for it. The air-conditioning was just about good enough but we were also provided with a fan which was useful. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well for the most part. Unfortunately, the villa backed on to the road down to the beach so from early morning there were motorbikes and so on arriving which was a bit disturbing. The other side of the stream would have definitely been quieter. The bathroom was great with a big bath, nice shower and good toiletries. The outside area was also quite nice but a little overlooked by people walking up and down the path down the middle of the resort and could probably have done with more greenery around it. Pool and beach area – for the first couple of days this was really nice as the resort was quiet. you could get sun beds around the pool or down on the beach which was great although you definitely had to move around to stay in the shade if that's what you wanted. As the hotel filled up though there were times when we couldn't get a sun lounger and had to stay on our terrace. this is partly due to the beach being restricted by the sea but there is definitely room for more beds to be put out but nobody seemed to take care of this. Food – the breakfast was fabulous! A huge variety of local and international dishes both hot and cold and some really nice touches. You could make your own fresh juice in a blender and the coffee was good quality. One morning I decided to take my coffee back to the room as I hadn't finished it but was stopped by one of the waitresses which seemed a bit petty. Wi-Fi – good quality and reliable. Reaches all over the resort including the beach and certainly good enough for YouTube and surfing the Internet and so on. All in all, this is a good resort but it let itself down in a few areas as far as we are concerned. It wouldn't take much to put these things right but we would definitely check the Tripadvisor reviews before coming back.
