We stayed for two weeks at the Tropical Sea View in Koh Samui. At the first night we were a bit discouraged by the steep hill we had to walk up. At the end we both agreed it was worth it because rarely has an apartment in Asia ever been so quiet, elegant and with a spectacular view. A big modern supermarket is less than 10 walking minutes away and so is the beach. One fantastic restaurant is close by (WeGreen) and many more at the Main Street or beach. If you want to party one night Chaweng is less than 30 minutes away for a 12 USD taxi ride. This meant we could avoid renting a scooter and all the potential trouble that come with it. All in all a relaxed and happy vacation is nearly guaranteed if you stay at the TSV.

While we only travel (around the World) 6+ months a year, we do have high standards. After reviewing several of the other descriptions, I could not help but shake my head!!! If people talk of great views, they usually require an elevated perspective--- so, on small islands this means there will be a hill. There is an experienced management team-- and they do respond to requests-- like if you need more towels, pillows, or hot water--- JUST ASK!! (we did and got whatever was requested). The units [1 bedroom is about 800 sq ft-- like a Presidential suite at a hotel!] are spacious, well decorated, and the kitchen has a full fridge, stove, microwave, electric kettle and pots & pans [3 frying pans and 2 pots] and the nearby Macro hypermarket also meets the many needs of almost all of the restaurants! The views are splendid, and the large balconies allow one to enjoy the location to the fullest! We were here last year and again-- this year. There was only 1 complaint--- it rained very hard once in 9 days-- should I also blame management?? For the price it cannot be beat!! I hope that this review was helpful!

“Room with a view”

We stayed at Tropical Sea View Residence, and it was perfect. Nice and quite with a fantastic view of the sea. Although the place is fantastic, and shops are relative close, it's located high up in the mountains and the road is very steep and long. Renting a bike or car is a must.

Me and my partner here for 5 nights in April. We were concerned at first due to having to walk up the very steep hill with our suitcases but this quickly turned round as we were greeted by very friendly staff who showed us to our apartment and settled us in. The walk up the hill to the apartments in the day time is hard in the heat but we hired a scooter which made it easy. Lovely places near by plenty of places to eat and shop the beach is also very near. Room was nice, air-con amazing. Only downside was we stayed in the two bedroom apartment and one of the rooms had a bad smell to it so had to keep door shut. Other than that everything was perfect and would definitely stay again!
