This was a very interesting resort. A nice stay. Beautifully set on the waterfront and peaceful. The bungalows are rustic and charming and the swimming pools are terrific. Breakfast is good and the views overlook the beautiful water. The location of the property is ideal, it is very close to town and many restaurants. No television, but sometimes it's good to be without one for a while. Staff is nice and friendly.

Yes it’s a little dated no tvs in room, showers old fashioned , reception staff rude….but wait until you meet the staff in the restaurant they make your holiday they are so warm and gracious. They are not Thai they are all Burma who have fled to make a living in Thailand . They make you feel so welcome they will help you in any way they can their service is 5*. Breakfast is a choice of different items they will also cook you fresh eggs if asked. Throw some bread into the sea and you will be amazed at the different fish you will see. They have a lunch menu to nibble on while in the evening a great choice from Thai,western , seafood BBQ or even a Mongolian BBQ where you cook your own food at the table. Excellent food in the restaurant. The beach is one of the best this part of the island it’s small but cleaned every day by the staff and the sea is calm here. Walk along the other side of the town and it is very rough waves. So many bars /restaurants/dive shops/tattoo artists you will see why it’s best to stay at the Sensi Enjoy its peace and tranquility at the hotel. You can either walk the beach into town about 15 mins , where the port is , passing lots of small bars and restaurants or take the back street where you will find small shops and local stalls. There’s plenty of small supermarkets 7/11 selling western items. When you see all the motor bikes and tourists you will head straight back to the hotel for peace and quiet. We would definitely return …love Koh Tao

I see the mixed reviews but I have to say I was happy with my stay. I went to this hotel knowing this place was not 5star (it is 3star) and I only stayed 1 night and would recommend. I see the mixed reviews but I have to say I was happy with my stay. I went to this hotel knowing this place was not 5star (it is 3star) and I only stayed 1 night and would recommend. It was very cute up in the trees a short 5 minute walk from main area street. I agree the rooms could do with some modernising and adding some more lights as it is quite dark but generally it’s a very cute hotel with a lovely pool and small private beach. If you’re staying with kids and plan to go up and down a lot to main road I’d probably book somewhere else as it is quite steep to get to but if you’re a couple who want a tree tops get away for a 1-3 nights it’s ideal.
