Overall a great holiday. Hotel and swimming pools are nice, meals at the 3 hotel restaurants and drinks good quality and reasonable prices (although you can get cheaper if you get the boat across to Phuket). The island itself is beautiful, lots of trees and nature. The hotel staff are helpful and very friendly. We enjoyed sitting at the peaceful beach bar having drinks on the beach in the evenings. We did one boat trip to Phi Phi islands with Viator which was a great day out (you can book an early morning long tail boat from the Island to Phuket pier, outside the usual hours to get to this, for a small fee, just ask hotel reception). Generally though during the day / evening you can get a long tail boat to and from Phuket free of charge. On the day of your arrival and departure speedboat is free too, just ring hotel or email a day or two before to book, they will also book you a taxi to or from the airport too if you wish for a fee. One small criticism would be when we first arrived at the pier, very tired after the long trip to get to Thailand, to get the speedboat from boat lagoon across to the island the check in was very slow and laborious and didn't appear to be very well organised (they will just take your luggage onto the speedboat with or without you in case you wonder where it has gone, it will get there don't worry). Overall though a fabulous experience and holiday, recommended.

“Beautiful Island Retreat with Great Food, but Limited by Costly Boat Transfers”

We recently stayed at Island Escape Burasari, and overall, it was a beautiful but somewhat mixed experience. Our arrival didn’t get off to the best start. When we reached Liem Hin Pier on Coconut Island, our taxi driver didn’t know where to go, and the meeting point for the hotel’s boat transfer appeared completely empty. This was especially frustrating as we had already emailed the hotel in advance to arrange our arrival. In the end, we had to use the taxi driver’s phone to call the hotel ourselves to get assistance. Once we arrived, however, the hotel itself made a much better impression. It’s set in a peaceful, secluded location away from the busy areas, which is perfect if you’re looking to relax. The beach is lovely, and the staff throughout the resort were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The food was another highlight. We initially expected a buffet-style setup, but instead, the hotel offers a choice of restaurants on a full-board basis, where you can select a starter, main, and dessert. The food was consistently great—fresh, hot, and full of flavour. The Thai restaurant by the beach was particularly excellent. The rooms were nice and reasonably clean, though not always to a perfect standard. One small inconvenience was that the complimentary water provided in the room was often warm and needed to be chilled in the fridge overnight. Additionally, no complimentary water was offered outside the room. The biggest downside of the stay, however, was the boat transfer system. The hotel operates on fixed schedules for both speedboat and longtail boat transfers. If you need to travel outside these times, you’re required to pay extra—and it’s quite expensive. The last scheduled boat back to the island is at 10pm, which made it feel like we were constantly on a curfew. This was particularly disappointing because Phuket’s nightlife really starts after 9pm, and we often felt like we were missing out. On one occasion, we had to pay 1000 baht (around £23) for a one-way trip back to the island after hours, which isn’t something we could justify doing regularly. Even when we raised this concern with staff, we were told there was nothing that could be done. A smaller fee for out-of-hours transfers would feel much more reasonable. In summary, Island Escape Burasari is a lovely, relaxing resort with great staff, food, and surroundings. However, the strict and costly boat transfer system is a significant drawback. While we did enjoy our stay, this issue alone would make us think twice about returning, especially if we wanted to experience more of Phuket’s nightlife.
