Panomporn Patong Place is very near to Patong beach(2-3km) and Bangla road could be reached by walking or use the local transport like tuk tuk. I preferred walking to explore local markets and to taste the local food on streets. Though it is a 2 star hotel the rooms were clean and the ppl are very kind and will defentily make the stay very good always smiling and provide you the best service. As I stayed there for 3days I really enjoyed the stay and overall the experience was good.

For me, the hotel was ideally situated because it was within walking distance of Bangla Road, and the main nightlife eg 20 mins away, but also away from the hustle and bustle when sleep was required. The staff at this hotel were immense. They were always offering advice, and they were extremely friendly, and helpful. We've become friends now, and that means more than anything. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms had air con which was brill as the weather was hot and humid, and the hotel was couple friendly, family friendly and elderly friendly as not only were their stairs to hotel rooms, but there was lift access to rooms also for those who have difficulty walking. The rooms for us, were cleaned everyday, and the cleaners were quite friendly too, so there was no problem there neither and we'd definitely return. If I was to be very pedantic, maybe the rooms could do with a lick of paint to freshen the place up, and on the outside communal areas of the hotel by the rooms eg room doors and walls. Our bathroom by the shower had a slight damp area too but that was really nothing to worry about or ruin our holiday. Lastly, the breakfast is nothing to shout about and is quite tedious because its consistent, but the hospitality and friendship of the staff paled those issues into insignificance. Definitely worth what we paid and would return without doubt....considering now! People don't expect 5 star if its a 3 star hotel and for what you pay. Id say their prices were correct and star rating spot on. 5 star hotels have gymnasiums and pools etc. This is purely a very good B&B.

Just to advise- I traveled with my friend back in February this year, so this is a very late review! My friend made the booking (He was in a hurry to book a holiday) so when I looked up the reviews I was a bit concerned, especially as a few comments had been made that the hotel was hard to find - This is very true!! Each time we left the hotel, we could not remember the way back! Even when we got a tuk tuk, they even struggled to find it. The reception staff were very polite and gave us a card with their telephone number but it made no difference! The tuk tuk driver would call and speak to the hotel staff and was still unable to find it for the longest time! We always got lost, but I think it took at least 15/20mins walk to Patong beach. So eventually we gave up and moved to another hotel as we wanted to be closer to Patong beach. I wouldn't bother with the food, it was very basic breakfast and wasn't the best, but as mentioned, the staff were polite and sweet and if you are looking to go to Thailand on the cheap with clean but very basic accommodation then this would be for you. It is cheap to get around on tuk tuk's but at the same time it would be nice to know where you are staying plus all those tuk tuks do add up!
