After a quick walk through of the property we decided to take advantage of an upgrade option to move to the Busakorn wing of the property and so glad we did. The pool with the swim up bar and pool was great and much different atmosphere from main pool. The restaurant on this side of the hotel had a fantastic breakfast. The rooms were clean, modern with comfortable beds. The location of the hotel is close to Patong Beach and a short walk to Bangla Road. Only minor issue we encountered was there are two separate entrances and on two of the three times we were picked up for a transfer, despite the efforts of the tour desk, the drivers ended up at the wrong entrance. Best Holiday Inn I have stayed at, hands down.

Great location right across the street from popular Patong Beach. Hotel consists of a lively family-oriented front wing and a more quiet Busakorn wing in the back with a separate huge and beautifully designed swimming pool. Top notch Italian restaurant Terrazzo faces the beach, offers live entertainment and attracts clientele from both inside and outside the resort. One of the hotel’s strongest assets is its exquisite customer service. As a frequent guest over the years I find it increasingly difficult to praise individual staff members since the entire team at all levels always goes out of their way to please and spoil. However, my particular thanks this time go to Maprang from the villa section for her unparalleled personal service and anticipation of our everyday needs, to Patpat from the main reception desk for being professional, friendly and cheerful and to smiling Fahsai from housekeeping for trying harder than expected to keep our room shiny and tidy. We are also grateful to Rafa, the food and beverage manager who made sure that the Terrazzo Trattoria crew under the watchful eye of hard-working Nui remembered my wife’s lactose-free diet and provided special pizzas for her.

Stayed here for 8 nights in the private wing with direct access to the adults only pool from our room. There is a separate entrance and checkin area for this wing. Very nice big spacious room with large walk in shower with a bench seat. The mini bar was replenished each day with anything you had used the day before. From memory there were two of each, iced coffee, coke,Diet Coke, Schweppes tonic, sparkling water, Singha beer, and Chang beer. There were also plenty of complimentary bottles of flat water. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard each day. In the morning staff would come around with a smoothie if you were outside about 10.30-11.00. Each room has small table and two seats on your terrace and two sun beds. There is one side of the pool that gets much more sun but I was happy we were on the more shaded side. If you are a sun worshipper I would suggest asking to be put on the sunny side. MP and Orio looked after anything you needed with great efficiency. Also if you ask they will give you a cool box with ice each day. They come out every afternoon also with a couple of complimentary tapas. The pool bar closes at 5pm but there is another larger pool with pool bar that opens later. I have seen reviews which say it’s between 5-10 minutes walk to the beach but if you walk through the main hotel reception and out past the main pool area you exit the hotel beside the Italian restaurant just across the road from the beach and it’s only a couple of minutes. We used the Charm restaurant twice. I had Pad Thai one evening and disappointingly they used minced chicken instead of normal pieces of chicken which I would expect. Flavour was nice though.Other time I had very nice ribs but they are not always available. Had to wait three nights for them. The steak restaurant is excellent and we went twice. Lovely steak perfectly cooked and slow cooked beef rib,Salmon and perfect lamb. Everything from the amuse bouchée ,starters, sorbet mains and dessert were perfect. Highlights were the crepes and Irish coffee which were prepared at your table like artists at work and the staff were very attentive and very professional and friendly. A must visit. We also used the Terrazzo Italian restaurant where the food was also very good and with good staff. This is just set back from the main road and you can watch the world go by while listening to the resident singer Noel I think his name was who was brilliant and he was on every night I think from about 6.30 to 10.Great range of songs and he never missed a note. You can also just go there for a drink and listen to the music. We talked to quite a few guests who were repeat visitors and they all said this was the best hotel in the area. The managers cocktail hour was also good with nice tapas and drinks. Note get there early to make sure of a seat. Didn’t see any manager there though but that didn’t spoil the enjoyment. I would recommend this hotel as its like a quiet relaxing oasis.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Busakorn wing in the hotel. Really nice hotel with decent breakfast options in a very central location, with good happy hour options available for drinks around the pool and a late night drink. The only downsides were the following: - Sofa bed made available for our five-year old son was not fit for purpose thus he spent the five night in our bed - It was a shame that the hotel wanted to charge us £65 for a early check-in when our room was already available. It just started our stay off on the wrong foot which was a shame - We were happy we decided to pay a bit more and stay in the Buaskorn wing. The pool in the other wing was over crowded in comparison and not as nicely presented generally Would recommend staying in this hotel especially in the Buaskorn wing
